Seems clear they want to show they are willing to work with her. At the same time, they are definitely going to fight on some things. Mostly college sports which are a huge source of revenue.

This new rule will likely result in assani having to get a 2nd job.
Or more accounts.

As the market reach gets smaller, it is good that they're taking a couple of extra steps to not break fish. At least let their $50 go to the next payday.

If sites really wanted bad players to keep their money for longer then they could do that pretty easily through more efficient pricing.

Well, they're not going to jeopardize their own take. They're the facilitators.

So I live in Canada, but have a VPN with a California DNS. It appears Fan Duel is region blocking my desktop (on the VPN) but not my mobile phone (on independent LTE).

I hilariously get this error message on every page, despite being located in .CA

Isn't FanDuel using replication now? If so, I'm guessing that is why you're getting that error. The routers around you are saying you're in Canada while your IP says California. That will cause in error in location software.

the first step to not getting banned is posting coherent sentences.

If you are in Florida or Illinois, look up your local representative and call them and voice your opinion about DFS.

Am I wrong in assuming they'll be no decision in NY tomorrow. The Judge will hear both sides and reconvene at a later date,or will we know the fate of DFS in NY tomorrow?

?

Not from there but seems random for you to say that out of nowhere. Both IL and FL looked like they wanted to regulate rather than ban.

Spill the beans...

Neither state is a slam dunk (none are) so it never hurts to contact you reps and let them know you support regulated DFS. If a bill gets a committee hearing then you could get a chance to speak as a concerned citizen.

If you get involved, avoid nonsensical rants and "DFS is like insurance and the stock market." Stick with an intelligent discussion about how the game may already be legal and just needs some guidance and regulation. Avoid slamming the other side. Simply talk up your position. It can't hurt to mention involvement with local businesses like sports teams and media investors.

Online poker regulation is an utter failure because players sat around and did nothing. Get involved and try to keep DFS from taking that same course.

I would call Joe an industry insider.

He ran businesses in the poker realm and at one point attempted to run a small DFS site. He's very well regarded around here and I think most of the stuff he says is pretty spot on.

I personally think he's a little more positive on recent developments than I would be...but he has more info than most of us.

It's hard not to slam the opposition when their anti DFS crusade is based on lies and misinformation, aided and abetted by the hypocritical New York Times and a corrupt casino owned NYAG. Andy Cuomo better watch his back.Schneiderman wants to be Gov and its obvious by the timing of its ''investigations'' that Schneiderman is the NYT's hand picked boy.

Poker players were apathetic but I think the blame lies with PStars and FTilt management.PPA/Al D'amato plus the bargain basement budget they were given does not make for an effective lobbying effort.US pols cost real money.

If there really are 600k to 1M DFS players in NY,we can send Schneiderman and silent Andy a powerful message in 2018 elections.
