Well, first not sure about the single brand/site decisions yet (I don't think they are either.) But if it is one brand, the answer is all of them will have to, so alot. Nevermind those that will just quit as they only played one site over the other.

There is no growth, this is survival mode.

What's different between that and the old way to create a contest?

Wonder if this merger will be allowed to go through as the two companies basically operated as a duopoly.

it sucks.

I do not want to be in the 10%, lol. wtf let me out!

Previously you hit create contest and do basically everything from one page, couple clicks and pick your entry amounts etc and off to the contest page with the player pool.

New one:

As you can see, new pages must be sorted through for each step now. It greatly increases the time and annoyance. On top of it all, at the last page your contest has actually now already been created, before you've even had a chance to see the players or make a team, so if you were to click away at this point, you just have a blank lineup(I had this happen as I was confused by this stupid new process briefly when messing with it and didn't even realize I'd already created a bunch of h2hs unknowingly).

Players no longer splitting bankroll over multiple sites means they can potentially get more cash game action from high stakes players.

didn't read thread sorry (UK noob), are they actually going to merge the playerpools or are they going to continue as normal (2 separate sites)?

Hey guys,

New to NFL DFS here. I've been doing beginner 50/50 contest on FanDuel for $10. I've been getting killed the last couple of weeks lol. Deposited $100 last week, and now I'm down to $27.

I'd like to learn how to succeed at this game. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations? Any particular resources I should refer to?

I was also wondering how much more difficult would a $10 cash game, be compared to the $2 ones? Beginner contests. Would the difficulty increase considerably the same way as it would in online poker if I was playing at those stakes?

people seem to think merge sometime next year. As for how they'll treat UK, hasn't been mentioned.

Why would they kill it? Seems to me this should be less of a worry than sports that have different games. I don't really get the legal concerns with golf on FD and their solution for it sounds awful.

The golf contests are all based on one tournament, or all one game. It's clearly more of an issue in regards to legality than something like football or basketball which are based on more than one game. I'm pretty sure that's why FD doesn't have golf. I'm not sure what DK's position is...that each round is a different event or game?

Golf is my favorite DFS, so I hope they don't get rid of it.

I would say their position is that it doesn't necessarily have to be from multiple games as it does multiple teams, and each player is considered their own team.

well one of the requirements for the uigea exception is

"All winning outcomes reflect the relative knowledge and skill of the participants and are determined predominantly by accumulated statistical results of the performance of individuals (athletes in the case of sports events) in multiple real-world sporting or other events."

so I guess they are trying to say each round is a separate event which seems pretty dubious. and then they also offer nascar for one race so I have no idea what the logic is there.

I read that as saying that the outcomes are determined by statistical results over multiple events, not that the actual competition has to be over multiple events.

Still, this is like poker, even if the UIGEA doesnt like it, doesn't mean it will die. The FD potential solution of combining different events sounds awful for golf.

I don't understand what you are saying. Yes, the outcome of the fantasy contest has to be determined by the stats over multiple events (such as a dozen NFL games). PGA contests are determined by the results of a single tournament.

and poker basically did die
