For those in the Fantasy 2020 thread that we discussing starting a league. As of now we need 1 more person for anyone who is interested. so far we have the following interested:

Things we need to decide:

Rosters: I would say QB/2RB/3WR/TE/FLEX/SFLEX/K/DEF/7BN/3IR (extra IR slots with covid)

Platform: Yahoo or Sleeper. We cannot slow draft on yahoo; we can slow draft on Sleeper. For Yahoo, we could do the draft in the thread and upload the teams. People would just need to be prudent about getting picks in.

if people didn't want to slow draft we'd have to find a date that works and then not sure if Precept would be out or not.

Buy-in/Payout: $100 or $50? 1st = 70% ; 2nd = 20% ; 3rd = 10% ? - I don't mind using LeagueSafe but never have before.

Scoring: 1 point PPR, 4 point passing TD
Waiver: weekly rolling
Playoffs: 6 with top 2 bye (or just 4 team playoff)

if we do yahoo there's no vig, not sure if everyone can deposit there but would make handling money easier

we could also slow draft itt and then upload results on yahoo via offline draft

I'm in if it's $50, no probs if not.

Also I'm from England so I'm unable to use Leaguesafe, but I've played in a league before where I had to send the money to someone and they pay it into Leaguesafe for me and then they would pay me out after.

As said before I can take Venmo and Paypal and hold.

I am lukewarm to adding a 4th league, never done more than 3, so I'm good either way.

Cool with the rosters, but I would be in favor with removing K if majority is cool with that.

I say we use Sleeper either way. If we need to slow draft, Sleeper makes even more sense because you can set time limits.

$50-$100 is cool with me. $50 works if that gets us to 10 with adski.

Also, 5 South said fees through LS is the only way he can play, so I say we go with LS for the money.

I'd be interested if there's a slot at any buy in or can act as a reserve if needed as it looks like you already have a tenth.

Also am a lol euro though so would have to be PayPal for me but I've been in quite a few leagues on here. Happy to send to a reg to hold if needed.

Sucks because I've got a bunch of money locked up in leaguesafe that is a pain for me to withdrawal being overseas but I'll do PayPal if LS is a deal breaker for a few people.

I vote for sleeper just because I've never tried it and hear good things.

i'm in a league with 20 teams and it's kinda fun owning fringe players - also really gives new value to the best players

We can always make it 12 instead of 10; probably wouldn’t want to go bigger than that. Let’s just wait and see who all checks in / wants to actually play

Yeah, I’d prefer to keep it at 10 and if there is that much interest, just make two 10 man leagues.

I definitely don’t want to do 20 haha.

could also do two leagues and combine them for playoffs, not sure of the logistics but i believe espn accomodates that - would be a little weird potentially facing a team with the same player in playoffs though

Yeah, I'm trying to predict the future of the school year (teacher), and I have no idea if I'll have time for my local league draft. So I'll be slow-draft or bust.

No vig was the idea behind having Dizzy escrow instead of LS.

Instead of blanket removing the K, can we switch it to another W/R/T flex?

word, i'm down for whatever and just want to iterate i by no means meant to imply didn't trust dizzy/someone else acting as banker - just know it's a pain in the ass sometimes to round up monies

Kickers can go. I think if we end up with a 12 person league I will keep it 1 flex + 1 superflex - if we have a 10 person league I'll do 2 flex + 1 superflex

Everything about running a fantasy league is a pain in the ass haha.

The commissioner does all of the work and then takes all of the heat when someone doesn't agree with something.

But I know the seasoned veterans of 2p2 will be able to pull this together smoothly.

And my suggestion of 2 10 man leagues was to just have two completely separate leagues. I know it's not ideal as we all want to play together, but moving up to 14, 16, etc. teams just adds way too much variance for my liking. Some teams just get so watered down. I have way more fun in the 8 or 10 team leagues. But I'm willing to go up to 12.

I'm also willing to play in multiple leagues if say we get 18 or so people and need a couple for double duty. I'm only in 2 leagues now and I would prefer to run at least 4.

Completely agree. I hosted and escrowed a ton on here a few years ago. It was a lot of time consuming stuff. It pulled me away from my family. Now, I try to slow draft or do Best Balls to fill the void.

If I make the cut, just let me know where to send the $ and when we draft.
