Ya makes sense. I think a site like Yahoo might get some of the home league casuals giving best ball a try. Where as a site like Underdog would be more infested by the regs.

Henry

JT is going to be a full fade for me. The talk around his ankle injury just doesn't sound good, especially combined with the contract situation.

I think Jacobs will be out there week 1, but I have concerns for him milking injuries later in the season, especially once the Raiders are out of it.

Zeke likely caps Mondre's ceiling of being top 5, but I still expect Mondre to be a low end-RB1, so I didn't really move him down. I view it as more Zeke > Strong/Harris/Montgomery.

Gibbs is a great talent and received high draft capital, but Monty will be involved. Gibbs also has goal line concerns.

Breece is the tough one. I haven't really moved him down much, and kind of like with Zeke, I view it as more Cook > Carter/Izzy/Knight, especially from a real life football perspective. Breece may start a little slow, but him reaching 70%+ of the snaps by the end of the year would not surprise me at all. He is really ****ing good.

I'm kind of holding on my priors of Zeke and Cook being multiple steps behind what they used to be.

Najee is an inefficient plodder on a likely average offense who is looking to be splitting with Warren.

Etienne is the potential league winner, imo. Maybe Mixon too, but Mixon always seems to underperform expectation and efficiency. However, hard to ignore his offense, and from a fantasy point expectation, he was top 5 last season.

And then you get into the potential dead zone group with Jones, Walker, Mattison, Sanders, Pierce, etc. I'd rather gamble on Conner, James Cook, White, Kamara, Khalil, Penny, etc. later on.
Back from vacation and ready to post...tar's post very well encompasses my thoughts at RB...i am not as high on bijan just bc of situation/arthur smith even though talent is all world...have him fifth behind chubb/barkley...am not touching JT/Jacobs until the third, around same area where i'm happy taking rhamondre...i like ettienne esp around the 3/4 turn...i will have zero najee and some warren...im always sad when mixon drops to me even though on paper looks so good...james cook was my guy this year, but he seems to have been found and moving up boards fast...i actually think pierce is going to be solid value (literally think they were tanking much of season last year and why lovie kept putting burkhead in)

i find myself wanting to take as many wrs early and taking rbs later in general in the mocks ive done

Engram was TE7 by average last season, but if you remove his massive week 14, he would have been TE17 by average.

Kmet had a nice two week stretch in weeks 9 and 10, but that's because he caught 2 TDs in each game. Kmet played at least 83% of the snaps in every game last season and still scored single digits in 12/17 games.

On Underdog, Engram currently going as TE8 and Kmet TE16. They are both better real life value players than fantasy players.

I'd rather take Everett TE17, LaPorta TE18, Juwan TE21, Henry TE26. It looks like Ferguson TE23 and Musgrave TE25 could both have starting roles as rookies too. I also like Schultz TE13 and Higbee TE14.

For managed redraft, I'll be Kelce, Andrews, Hock, Waller, or Pitts or punting to the guys I listed above. I don't really want Goedert or Kittle either. I like Kincaid, but he's still pretty expensive at TE11.
Again very aligned here. Guys I'm liking at ADP Kelce,Andrews, Waller,Friermuth...Im out on Engram (only bc too many mouths), Kmet, Pitts (Smith/too many mouths again)..late targeting Higbee, schultz,Juwan,Everett

I also worry about consistent game to game volume with how good SF projects to be and the fact that keeping CMC healthy for the playoffs should be their number one priority. Part of the reason he was so great in Carolina is because he was the entire offense. Shanny doesn't need that out of him.

I won't fault anyone for taking CMC first overall, but I'm JJ there all the way. I wouldn't be surprised to see Kirk reach 700 passing attempts this season. I just think JJ is as safe as it gets, with similar upside to CMC.

SF also plays the Cardinals in week 15 and the Commanders in week 17. I could see both of those games being games where it's over before the 4th and CMC just isn't needed much in the 2nd half.
Don't mean to only respond to tar's posts, but I think the 49ers are out on trey lance...I think they were hoping he would show well in preseason and maybe drum up some interest. I actually think Darnold would be who they would go with regular season if Purdy has an issue

How are we ranking the diggs/lamb/st brown/adams/aj brown region of WR? I think thats my order but have a hard time distinguishing bw them...From late in drafts (9-12) my bests builds seem to come from taking 2 wrs, even though i really want to take chubb this year...Another wr i like this year is Jeudy, but he seems to have climbed to early 4th...Can we take him there? I don't have as many later rd wr favorites as past years...finding myself taking a lot of rb lottery tickets instead of wrs late (zay flowers and nico collins 2 that i like)...where is waterwolves when we need him?

That's actually pretty funny - I have pick one so looking at Funston's picks I have also been doing JJ, Hurts, Rhamondre, Jeudy mocks several times and I don't hate his Aiyuk pick either

I probably go Diggs, ARSB, AJB, Lamb, Adams but agree they are almost interchangeable. Feels weird to have Adams last but QB quality is usually the deciding factor and I wonder if his current QB can air it out like Rodgers/Carr.

I also prefer to start with two WR1 if possible - can anybody point to a WR1/2 that went undrafted and was available on waivers? It seems to happen every year at RB - by week 12 somebody is gonna have, start and be happy about some rando that didn't even get drafted or was dropped.

Hard to make a good fantasy team if you are starting two WR whose ceiling is 50-800-6

Draft day shenanigans planned!

My league is Philly based with 9 of the 12 owners being Eagles fans

Me (Lions fan) - pick 1 and have pretty much announced Jefferson as the pick
Commish (Bears fan) has agreed to restart the draft after I make my first selection of .....Jalen Reagor

For those who may not remember Eagles GM Howie Roseman(aka smartest guy in the room) and knowing his team needed WR help famously passed on JJ (324-4825-25 career) to take the lesser ranked Reagor (72-799-4) in the 2020 draft.

I love it bosco. Maybe a day before the draft let it slip you are between 2 WRs and then 5 minutes before the draft say "I think Howie was right" and let them try to decipher which howie you are talking about.

I'm also struggling to rank this tier, especially since I'm hoping to get 2 of them in rounds 2/3 from the 4 spot in my 8 man league. The league is generally pretty RB heavy.

I think I rank it Diggs/CD/ARSB/Adams/AJB/Wilson, but I kind of don't really want Diggs this year. I'm hoping to end up with CD/ARSB for my 2/3 picks. Also, I don't really know where to put Waddle.

It almost feels like the tiers are something like

JJ
Chase

Kupp
Reek

Diggs
CD
ARSB
Adams
AJB
Wilson

Waddle

Olave
Tee
Devonta
Ridley
Amari

And then you get into DK, Keenan, Deebo (who I'm out on), Jeudy, Big Mike, Watson, etc.

Right now I'm leaning on taking Kelce from the 4 spot, but I'm also toying with how fun a Kupp/CD/ARSB would be and then take either Andrews/Hock/Waller. Waller is interesting, because my league is on Yahoo and his xrank is around 100. This is a league who follows the ranks.

Bosco, I feel like you do with RB availability versus WR, especially in an 8 man league.

Coming in hot with PPR annual THIS OR THAT. We try to find some tight adp choices where the choice isn't that obvious.

Just reply and quote, and bold your single pick per line. SoS can factor (and should).

Tyreek Hill or Ekeler or Kelce

Saquon or Bijan

Ceedee or AJ Brown (we all put Diggs ahead?)

Chubb or Pollard or Henry

Amon Ra or Devante Adams

Wilson or Olave or Waddle

Stevenson or Taylor or Jacobs

Keenan Allen or Ridley or DK Metcalf

Najee or Etienne or Mixon

Etienne or Gibbs or Breece

Amari or Deebo or DHop

Burrow or Fields or Herbert

Conner or Kamara or Javonte

Swift or Pacheco

That's a good start!

Tyreek Hill or Ekeler or Kelce - Kelce or Ekeler, just a gut feeling

Saquon or Bijan - Love both, but is it somewhat possible Bijan is sharing the workload with Allegier more than we think?

Ceedee or AJ Brown (we all put Diggs ahead?) - and no, I have CeeDee over Diggs

Chubb or Pollard or Henry

Amon Ra or Devante Adams

Wilson or Olave or Waddle - Wilson > Waddle > Olave

Stevenson or Taylor or Jacobs - I think he shows up. No clue with Taylor, and Zeke messes up the Rhamondre situation.

Keenan Allen or Ridley or DK Metcalf

Najee or Etienne or Mixon - Want nothing to do with Najee

Etienne or Gibbs or Breece

Amari or Deebo or DHop

Burrow or Fields or Herbert

Conner or Kamara or Javonte - If he's actually cleared for a full Week 1 workload....otherwise gimme Kamara.

Swift or Pacheco - Ultra close call.

Tyreek Hill or Ekeler or Kelce - Lean Kelce in 8 man, Reek in 10+.

Saquon or Bijan

Ceedee or AJ Brown (we all put Diggs ahead?)

Chubb or Pollard or Henry - But would be happy with Chubb or Pollard. Probably won't have Henry.

Amon Ra or Devante Adams

Wilson or Olave or Waddle

Stevenson or Taylor or Jacobs - Don't really want any right now, but if Taylor/Jacobs find some more certainty, easily them over Mondre.

Keenan Allen or Ridley or DK Metcalf

Najee or Etienne or Mixon

Etienne or Gibbs or Breece - Was easily Breece before Cook. Probably still Breece, but it's close between him and Etienne.

Amari or Deebo or DHop

Burrow or Fields or Herbert - Fine with any at cost, but I lean Herbert. Weapons + healthy o line + Kellen Moore. It could be record setting!

Conner or Kamara or Javonte - I have no idea, but I guess Javonte after seeing him last week.

Swift or Pacheco - Neither, but I guess Swift. I think both will be in a gross committee.

That's a good start!
Nice list! I'm definitely struggling with some.

What I mean is:

I really like Javonte's talent, but I want an RB to be completely healthy when entering the season. I don't want a question mark on my roster as opposed to when I get Kamara, there are no durability issues.

Obviously he gets the 3-game suspension, but I would rather have that if Javonte isn't undoubtedly the lead back and ready for a full workload.
