There a free site where you see those stats in game? THanks!

Not that I know of. NBC had just popped up the stats when I made that post.

Also I put a bit of money down on the Mahomes for MVP futures, so losing the first game like that doesn't help. Mahomes did play well, so there are signs of him having a monster season, especially when Kelce is back.

They're also about 2 key additional injuries from him having a pretty middling season. I dunno, it's gonna be interesting.

Waller is questionable with a hamstring issue.

So is everyone grabbing Likely in case the Andrews quad is serious?

Is there any sport with this many injuries before a game is even played?

Soccer, but most of those are fake.

I have Andrews as well. Just picked up Everett. But I am curious as to whether Likely would outperform streamers. I need to check his game logs from last year.

EDIT: Just looking at the game logs now. LY Andrews missed weeks 9 and 18. Week 9 Likely gets 5 tgts 1 rec 24 yds for 1 TD, finishing 8th for TEs. Week 18 he goes for 13 tgs 8 rec 103 yds and 0 TDs for 3rd for TEs for the week. That volume right there is quite impressive.

For Everett I see he posted 3 top 10 finishes in 16 games played last year. That is pretty good for a streamer, but I think based on percentage of top 10 finishes, I'm leaning towards Likely as the backup to pick up. I just grabbed Likely, so I'm holding both him and Everett at the moment.

During best ball szn the ETR guys said if Andrews misses time, Likely is a t5 start every week, not sure if that’s accurate but he’s def better than the bottom half of startable tes

I had alot of fun trying best ball for the first time this year. So to keep that fun going, I want to try out weekly snake draft contests. Does anyone know if there is any strategy content regarding these?

All of the fantasy football related content mid season seems to be for managed leagues and DFS contests. I'm not too sharp on DFS with things like point projections per dollar of salary and ownership projections etc. So I think my comfort level would be to stay with drafting. I want to get a good amount for week 1 and then evaluate if it's something that I'll do every week for the season.

Stacking, both for your guys and for the game is important. For instance, draft a team with Chase/Burrow/Amari for this week.

Also, with at least your last pick, and sometimes I do it with my 5th and 6th pick, target guys who are low drafted. These players will have ADPs that are 34-36.

It’s tempting to simply aim for the highest projected player on each pick, but it’s not super unique, as those players are being drafted more. When you’re trying to beat 35k-45k entrants, you want players that are low owned and correlated with upside to round out your team.

One game that I think accomplishes that this week is Min/TB. If you take one of JJ/Hock, then target Godwin, Evans or Rachaad in the 5th or 6th round. Godwin has an ADP of 34.5. Evans has an ADP of 35.5.

You can take it even deeper if you want. Maybe instead of Chase/Burrow/Amari you do Chase/Burrow/E Moore. Moore has an ADP of 36.

I think QB/2RB/2WR/TE is the most optimal structure, but you can also make QB/RB/3WR/TE work. I basically never draft 2 TEs, but you can do it if you want.

Here is an example of a team that might not feel comfortable to draft, but that is quite unique from the field. Although, I don’t think I can get on board going as deep with Granson lol. But he stacks AR/Granson, adds Ridley for the game stack, then game stacks CMC/Deebo/Pickens.

This team has ADP of 4.7, 13, 34.5, 35.7, 35.7, and 36.

Jon in the Tweet above helps run a channel on YouTube called BadgeBros, and they focus a lot on the Battle Royale contests. Hope Bishop and The Pound are two more channels that also focus on these contests. They’ve all binked at least once before, I believe.

I generally try to secure elite QB, elite TE, one or two of the high ADP WRs/RBs, then use my last pick or two on late ADP WRs/RBs to get unique. You kind of need the elite QB/elite TE to get there. For instance, I haven’t stacked Cousins with JJ, since I don’t think Cousins has the upside to compete with Lamar, Hurts, etc.

It’s hard to ignore ADP, but to an extent, you need to. You can also get unique by staying somewhat within the top ADP players, but reaching a little. For instance, if you have the 6th draft spot at the 1/2 turn, target guys who have ADP of 12-15 range and are generally going at the 2/3 turn. These players are still going to be really good, but you’re adding them on the opposite side of the draft board relative to ADP.

Underdog flattened the pay structure some this year. Top 20% of the field cash and at least double the buy in.

There is also a rule if you draft a player that’s deemed out, you can replace them. But the replacement rules are pretty rigid, as I think all teams that need a replacement simply get the top ranked player, either by the default rankings or you can create custom rankings. You can’t replace players by each team. I’m still not fully clear on these rules. But I’m generally trying to avoid dealing with this, especially in week 1.

The above should hopefully help you get started haha.

With Kupp going to IR does anyone know what Van Jefferson's value will be for those 4 weeks? Just wondering if he is worth adding as a free agent.

That seems like a definite must-pickup, to see what happens tomorrow at the least.

I grabbed him to speculate a little. Him or Thielen are my hold, not both. We'll see who's worth the roster spot.

I'm feeling good about Higbee shares the most.

Also I'm here for the Waller roller coaster. TE feels like another crazy ass year.

Andrews not likely to play per Ian Rappaport. First official announcement I've seen, altho speculation was that he was most likely gonna be out.

The only thing I miss about kicker leagues is being able to drop them and hold another player for the week.
As an Andrews owner, I would have already picked up a TE as a backup and dropped my kicker until Sunday.

My team from #1 in 12 team 2RB/3WR/Flex PPR - basically forced myself to start WR/WR/WR with a RB cutoff at Mixon with pick 24 (he went 22)

Justin Jefferson Min, WR
Chris Olave NO, WR
Calvin Ridley Jax, WR (passed on Harris, Jones, Etienne, Stevenson)
James Cook Buf, RB
Jonathan Taylor Ind, RB (had no intentions of drafting but made sense at the time?)
David Montgomery Det, RB
Dallas Goedert Phi, TE (could have still had Kamara at this point )
Raheem Mostert Mia, RB
Odell Beckham Jr. Bal, WR (was probably reading a glowing fantasy article while drafting)
Aaron Rodgers NYJ, QB (mistake? - hence the Geno pick in round 12)
Jaylen Warren Pit, RB
Geno Smith Sea, QB (Rodgers was QB13 taken, Geno QB15)
Ravens D/ST Bal, D/ST
Tyler Bass Buf, K
Kareem Hunt FA, RB
Greg Dulcich Den, TE

Took Taylor over Connor, Sanders, Walker, Mattison, White)

James cook and JT over Mattison + Walker is insane. Like it can work out but you probably drafted both 2rds early

I'd grab Nacua personally, kid is really good and could easily surpass Jefferson for the Rams WR2 spot in the next four weeks

Saw this tepid endorsement - doesn't really sound like a must-add player but what do I know?

Puka Nacua
Beyond Jefferson, the only other name of interest is rookie fifth-rounder Puka Nacua. The BYU product was relatively unproductive in college and has one of the worst athletic profiles you will ever see. At the same time, he generated considerable buzz during training camp and could just be one of those guys who outperforms his athleticism.

The one concern I'd have with Likely is the narrative that Lamar has a really good group of receivers now. So Odell, Zay, and Bateman will just eat up all the targets over a backup TE.
