Yeah, so sixfour was pretty much spot on with this + his usage in the pre-season game. Now today's blurb:

Speaking Tuesday, Dolphins coach Brian Flores said he would use the Dolphins' top three backs "situationally" this season.

“We are going to use them situationally as best fits their skill set and what’s best for the team," Flores said, building on comments he made Monday. "Myles Gaskin can play first, second, third down, but depending on the situation, we may put another player in there. Malcolm Brown is a little bigger, what you may consider a power back. Myles is change of pace, good quickness. Salvon Ahmed has good speed, coming out of the backfield."

Could make an argument for Kmet just because the position has been such a wasteland that maybe he could have some value if he starts to show up.
If you're thin at WR, can also consider Marvin as he could end up being useful as a WR3.
And Edwards as he is the only one on the list I think that could emerge as the WR1 on his team. Doubtful but not totally impossible.

Those are the 3 I would be torn over.

I think you all convinced me bryan edwards (aka the real edwards) is my guy.

Only reason I questioned it is because I'm also keeping AJB, hopkins, amari, diontae & corey davis and my only RBs are barkley, aaron jones & zack moss. It is an auction draft for all rookies + unkept players so my strategy will be to spend every dollar I have on najee and if I don't get him then all-in on etienne. I am unlikely to get najee for all my budget, but should have a shot at etienne - if I get neither then I look for value and go RB heavy.

Who is your top 10 TE? I personally like Kmet, as I like his long-term outlook potential. I doubt Jimmy Graham will be in Chicago past this season. Kmet is only 22 years old. He has a rookie QB coming in who he could build a nice rapport with. Like 5 South said, TE is a wasteland. Once you get past the first 6-8, the situation starts to become grim.

Bryan will be like the 5th option on a run first offense, and I don't really see that changing. I just think he has a low ceiling, especially with Carr, so why not focus on shoring up a notoriously thin position with a guy who could become something? He was a 2020 second round draft pick who ended last year with a very nice snap percentage. Chicago is going to give him a chance. And Bryan will probably never see your starting lineup with those other receivers.

Too bad Mack and Kelley aren't worth a damn since you are thin at RB.

Tonyan is definitely taken way too early for my liking. Rostering 2 QBs can be ok depending on your team, but no reason to roster Carr since you're never playing him - go with another high upside flyer from the waiver wire.

Yeah, I definitely reached for Tonyan. I got anxious for a TE at that point. Carr was mostly taken as a bye week option, although i can always grab someone from the waiver wire as you mentioned.

Wow, if that is how TE goes I'll likely get Irv Smith or Logan Thomas and pair with Jonnu Smith or something.

I am not a fan. CMac, Dionte, and maybe Harris are the only solid picks imo. Carson over Gibson (among others) seems bad, don't like taking a QB that early, Thielen and Woods over a bunch of better WRs, super reach on Tonyan, and wasted all of your late round picks on guys with little to no upside. The team as a whole actually has an extreme lack of upside.

You aren't likely to finish last, but as constructed you have pretty much no chance of finishing first. All is not lost though, grind the wire and be active in the trade market, and CMac is capable of carrying a lot, but you're gonna need a bunch of help imo.

I'm not buying Thielen but I do like Woods. Rams will throw a ton, Akers is out, it should be a two man show with Kupp and Woods.

I don't think that team is terrible but in 10-man standard I'm not taking a QB early either, I just love stockpiling RB and WR for the first 6-8 rounds in smaller leagues.

It’s pretty bad. You should take Ridley over Mahomes. Thicken in the 4th is spew, as is Tonyan in the 6th. At the end of the draft you should be looking for upside not a terrible second QB or a bad 5th WR

+1 with the Tonyan comments, if you're not getting Kelce/Waller/Kittle/Pitts then wait, downgrade to a TE you can get at the 8/9 (10/11?) turn is not going to be as much as the upgrade from Harris to whatever RB was available. Sermon, Javonte or JRob for me

I don't hate the Mahomes pick if it's his guy as he's clearly not there when it hits the 4/5 turn, and it's not a huge reach, but yeah, with Ridley/Metcalf/Jefferson on the board I'm taking one of them then Lamar at 4/5 (Murray might even drop if Mahomes is still out there) or Brady at 6/7

Anyone think that Swift at his current ADP seems like value? What gives, he was starting to look pretty good there back half of the season. Just the groin thing?

Is he going to get 2x the volume of last year? Yahoo ADP 40.1, right around Jacobs, Sanders, Henderson Jr. But I guess he will be the 1st and 2nd down bellcow, so to speak.

I don't really follow the Lions much so I don't know if their line is good, but generally speaking I prefer players on offenses that I know are proficient, of which the Lions do not strike me as such.

Goff behind center, with Williams/Perriman/Brown/Hockenson. Has to be one of the worst receiving corps in the league. Swift is going to face a lot of stacked boxes, no? And Jamaal might cut into his receiving numbers.

I'm fading Swift everywhere, although Yahoo 40.1 ADP isn't that terrible. He's at 28.1 on Sleeper in non-SF PPR leagues. I'm not taking him there. Looks like ESPN has him at 39.2.

I'm planning to go RB at the top and take WRs at those ADPs, anyways.

I think Williams is going to hamper Swift's ceiling a lot, but maybe the offense just becomes those 2 plus Hock due to the terrible receivers. It's also Goff and the Lions, so that offense is probably going to be one of the worst in the leagues as it is. I doubt there will be many scoring opportunities. Hock is my main PPR target in that offense since he's being drafted as the TE6 or so. I expect Goff to target him a lot.

Guy who posted draft, cut Hilton for someone with upside as well, if there's a Bryan Edwards type available then that is massively better

I'll be the contrarian here on Swift. I'm in, especially in the 4th round. I don't see his overall outlook much different than Taylor or Gibson, the question marks are just different (passing game splits vs. carry splits). All have massive ceilings and I don't think the floors are too different either. Team quality is definitely a concern, but Swift will be involved a bunch even if the Lions are losing constantly, whereas if WFT or particularly IND (with Nelson and Wentz injured already) disappoint relative to expectations team wise, that could possibly be quite detrimental to Gibson/Taylor.

Also, I'm not reading into the perceived negative coach speak re: Swift too much, it's not clear at all imo, and there are other quotes from Campbell that contradict the "negative" quotes. Jamaal Williams is a fine RB, but Swift has the chance to really be special.

The groin is indeed the most concerning thing for me though, so will def be keeping an eye on that. Still have him below guys like Harris and CEH, but would prob prefer him to guys like Carson/Sanders/Dobbins assuming the groin is ok. It is tempting in 2 rb leagues to try to just wait a round and pick up Henderson at RB2 though.

hope he drops significantly, would love to grab him. Think he's much more talented than Brown and could be great value by end of year

Hot take: Antonio Brown and Michael Gallup should be much closer valuewise to evans/godwin and cooper/Lamb...think they are both good value...maybe Tyler Boyd as well
