Man I've been campaigning, this is our first year with any PPR. We've been playing RB bingo for forever.

Yeah, very passionate. I might drop my waiver requests and hold on to #1 until I really need it.

Re: 2021 Fantasy Football Thread

I mean it's all situational. If you've got a team that went RB early then waited for your second and then went Edwards/Mostert, then I suppose it's understandable if you want to spend something, and I don't hate the move, but I really don't see how anyone is expecting the SF backfield to suddenly become a Mitchell show, which is more or less what it needs to be in order to justify using the top waiver if he isn't going to immediately improve your starting lineup. Sermon is really ****ing good. Hasty has shown flashes. Wilson is on PUP but will be back mid-season and has shown himself to be productive. It's not completely unreasonable that Shanahan picks up someone off the street either (although Baltimore appear to have covered that angle pretty comprehensively). This isn't a theoretical Dalvin Cook is down spot where everyone would spunk all their FAAB on Mattison

Took my waivers down. They look good for a team that doesn't have a decent RB. I also hate how Shanahan is unpredictable with how he uses his rb's.

Yeah. Mitchell may have just been right place, right time and its not necessarily indicative of his future usage. I just cant get over the zero targets in the passing game - that doesn't bode well for PPR RBs - guy only had about a catch a game thru college

Re: 2021 Fantasy Football Thread

Hmm, PPR redraft I was offered Metcalf and Higbee for Waller and Jeudy. No TE premium.

My current lineup:

QB: Allen
RB: Henry, CEH
WR: Godwin, Diontae, MWill
Flex: Pittman, Singletary
TE: Waller
Bench very little

Really tough to give up Waller in PPR, but it’s a decent offer. Would be interested in thoughts.

Waller is a top 2/3 TE. You're going to give up over 100 points with Higbee over the season. Metcalf wouldn't make up the difference

Re: 2021 Fantasy Football Thread

In dynasty PPR superflex, I have a counter offer of CEH, Jamaal Williams, Tonyan and Boyd for my likely latest 1st, Hines, Gesicki and Heinicke.

It’s not bad. I thought of countering 2 2nds. Because my fear in this league is that the top 6 are decided by consolation bracket. So even just missing the playoffs can get top pick. Owner of this 1st just scored the second highest total of week. He has Mahomes and Allen in sflex. Along with Mixon, Hunt, Drake, Godwin, Watkins, Golladay, Beasley, Gronk as starters. He does lack depth in this league where start 9 between RB/WR/TE, so anything can happen with the 1st.

I countered Waller, Singletary and Jeudy for Metcalf, Gaskin and Higbee.

Yep, snap decline

Edit - and I'd cancel that counter offer as that still looks bad for you. Especially in redraft

Comparatively, it’s going from starting Waller, Singletary and Pittman or Patrick to Metcalf, Gaskin and Higbee.

not so hot take: I like where I got Waller more than where he got Kelce in redraft.

hotter take: With 3 full years of age difference and less hard miles on the Waller frame, Waller is the dynasty TE #1, and I wouldn't trade Waller for Kelce straight up if you offered me that deal.

Yes he's trash.
Stay away from him. I'll happy to take the 12th round scraps that he is top two in targets on his team as a TE.

Re: 2021 Fantasy Football Thread

Mitchell went for 50% and 47% of FAB in my two leagues, I bid around 20% knowing it wouldn’t be enough. I did get him in my 3rd leauge with the #2 waiver claim (the guy with the first claim said he meant to pick him up on his phone but got distracted and forgot to go back to it lol)

Thin out the FAAB herd!

He went for 75% in one of my leagues and 25% in the other. I only bid 12% in each.

Mitchell Went for 93% and 40% in my two lgs that have FAAB, I bid 33% in both

I snagged him w my number 1 waiver priority in a YPL and missed on him w 4th priority in another YPL

Re: 2021 Fantasy Football Thread

How do you guys think about FAAB bid % in guillotine leagues. I can never tell if I’m bidding too much on a guy or too little haha

Henry and Kittle are both available and I’m somewhat weak at rb2 thanks to Gus and Sermon (possibly) and Te

How much would you bid on those guys 20%?

Re: 2021 Fantasy Football Thread

The biggest mistake in Guillotine is getting eliminated with your FAAB unused, the 2nd is pissing away your bids on lesser talent that you will want to upgrade in 4-5 weeks anyway.

That said, barring injury, both Henry and Kittle will likely still be somebody's roster 3 months from now. I doubt 20% gets either player.

Re: 2021 Fantasy Football Thread

12tm PPR 3WR/Flex is currently RB Hunt

Have:
Metcalf
AJB
Agholor
Fuller

Anybody dropping Emmanuel Sanders for MVS? Both had decent target share week 1, but who has higher upside ROS given that I likely wont need them save for a bye week?

The same guy got him in both of my leagues:
55% & 59%

I bid 28% and was 4th in bidding (59%, 51% & 29% beat me) and my only RBs are CMC, chubb, hines, mattison, tevin coleman, d williams (kc) & le'veon so I needed RB depth.

Re: 2021 Fantasy Football Thread

10 team PPR + .2 pts per rush attempt

Dropping MVS & darrell williams (KC) for FAs. Does this order of pick ups look correct:

jamaal williams
elijah mitchell
james white
marvin jones
kirk
beasley
tim patrick

current RB/WR (start 2rb, 2wr, 2 flex)
mixon, chubb, henderson, gaskins, mike davis, edmonds
arob, kupp, godwin, cooks

We don't have to start a TE, but would you favor a logan thomas, gronk or goedert over any of those guys?

Re: 2021 Fantasy Football Thread

Weird situation in one of my Yahoo leagues. FAAB waivers, with the normal game time - tuesday waiver schedule.
Both of Eli Mitchell and Jeff Wilson had/have a waiver date of 9/20 which is next Monday. Literally every other player in the player database cleared on 9/15 (early on Wednesday morning as usual) and is now a FA. There are obviously multiple outstanding bids on both players. Wtf?

Neither player has been owned at all this season. 2 other leagues I'm in have identical settings and everything is normal in those. Anyone have any idea what's going on?
