Alright, I’m going to run through my 21-30 in PPR. This is where things get tricky and where I expect quite a bit of disagreement haha. I’m sure my rankings will be fluid as camp reports flow, but these are just preliminary thoughts.

TLDR;

CEH
Keenan
Waller
ARob
Terry
MT
Swift
Carson
Akers
Metcalf

CEH - After a nice start to his rookie season, injuries and a Le’Veon Bell signing slowed him down. Bell is a shell of himself and hates Andy Reid, so he’s no longer a threat. Guys like Darrel Williams and Darwin Thompson aren’t a concern. The Chiefs don’t have much behind Reek and Kelce in the receiving game; Watkins is gone and Hardman/Robinson have shaky consistency. Look for CEH to have a nice second season on arguably the best offense in the league.

Keenan - Actually, after reviewing his 2020 numbers, I change my mind on the above putting him over Terry haha. All Keenan did was average 12 targets per game in the 11 full games he played with Herbert. They played a lot without Ekeler and a lot from behind, but I still think he will see a double digit target average per game. I might need to move him up to 20 ahead of Jefferson.

Waller - He really ended the season on a hot streak. And even without those last 5 games, he was still really good. I might even have him slightly too low with the premium on the top couple of TEs. He’s still the best receiver on the team. Carr loves him. Barring an injury, he should be a top 3 TE for the year.

Terry - Fitzmagic, assuming he can still sling it, which he did last year, is going to really help push Terry down field. I think Fitz is really going to boost Terry. Although, an issue is that even when Fitz is peppering guys with targets, he’s still slinging INTs. Washington has Kyle Allen and Tyler Heinicke behind him, so he should have a pretty long rope. Injuries to the 38 year old are likely a bigger concern, but as long as he’s out there, Terry should feast.

ARob - This might be slightly too low, and Dalton or Fields should both be better than Mitch and Foles. Andy loves to lock in on the top receiver, which is good news for Allen. And even if Fields makes it onto the field this season, Allen shouldn’t be hurt too much. Allen has been QB-proof his entire career.

AJ Brown - His ceiling puts him here, and the fact that he doesn’t need many targets to reach it helps. But the Julio trade makes things interesting. We know Henry will touch it 20-25 times a game. Tannehill averaged 30 attempts per game last year. Let’s say 5 goes to the TE, 5 goes to the RB, and 5 goes to other receivers, that leaves roughly 15 for Julio and AJ. AJ finished as WR12 in 14 games last year averaging 7.5 targets per game. He should see a ton of single coverage, so hopefully he will feast in the end zone. His catches are very efficient between big yardage and long scores.

MT - I’ll put him here on history and potential alone, but the loss of Brees is going to hurt. I’m way more likely to have him in a few spots if Jameis is the starter. If it’s Taysom, count me out and he will be outside of my top 30. I know he was pretty good with Taysom last year on catches and yards. He didn’t have any TDs. But those four games were against Atl twice, Philly, and Den. Atl probably had the worst defense in the league.

Swift - I was really liking him at the end of last season and I still do. The Lions bringing in Williams is a bit annoying, but they’re so weak at WR, that they’re likely to use them both at once. I think Swift is going to have a nice season based on needed volume alone. He had some nice games last year and can catch the ball well. I think he will work well with Goff.

Carson - He always seems underrated each year, probably because he doesn’t really have a 30 point+ ceiling. However, he also pretty much has a 10 point floor. He’s consistently scoring 10-20 points, with a ceiling of 25 or so, and I’ll happily take that. Maybe he deserves to be just outside the top 30, but I’m a little higher on Carson than most.

Akers - This is probably lower than consensus, but I’m just not a big believer. He struggled to get on the field last year and he did end the year pretty strong. But he still didn’t catch a ton of balls. I’d like him more in standard. McVay has said they plan to use him a lot, but that guy says a lot of stuff. He should ideally be good with Stafford. If the Rams give him the volume, then I can see him having a top 10 RB season, but it’s tough for me to trust. I’ll probably get a share or two just in case.

Metcalf - I’ll put him here on ceiling alone, but I think he has a pretty low floor. I doubt I’ll have much of him at ADP, as I expect it to be in the low 20s. There are just other guys I’d rather have. But if Metcalf can keep up the TD pace, he will be a beast. I just don’t fully trust it. If I can get him here, I’ll happily take him. The first half of his season was quite a bit stronger than the second half.

Are you going to run your league again? That was you...right?
I am leaning cutting down some leagues this year so leaning no, but we will see how some stuff shakes out. When draft season comes around maybe I’ll change my mind lol.

I’m willing to take over commissioner duties if you don’t want to deal with that.

My offer of Kamara for 1.1, Carson and Lockett was insta-rejected without comment.

I'm in if you commish. I was planning on running another Superflex league with lots of flex spots and an SFB-type of balanced scoring (No D/K). I'm not sure we need 2 leagues, but I suspect we can fill both.

1.1 is Najee to that guy, right?

I would insta turn down Harris, Carson and Locket for Kamara. You'd have to add in at least a solid WR2 to make that reasonable.

Nice. I’m happy to do it. Although, dizzy sounds like he might want to be out altogether. If so, I’m sure we can fill it.

Im also down to add another league if you want to commish one your style and need players. Looking to have 6-8 leagues this year. At 5 or so right now.

I enjoy playing with the 2p2 crowd.

Yeah, especially in .5 PPR. Don’t even think I’d take a WR2 in that deal. But depends on how the guy feels about the future of Carson and Lockett.

Damn. Akers tore his Achilles.

I guess it’s up to Henderson now.

Do any of the big websites espn yahoo sleeper let you set up a league as best ball? I’d be interested in playing in a league that was best ball . Possibly with roster moves

Apparently sleeper allows this. I’m down to do a bunch of these but not gonna run any leagues if anyone wants to run these .

Looks like Sleeper just added Best Ball. No idea if you can do it so you can make roster moves.

I've been doing a lot of mocks, and I have no idea which direction I want to go this season haha.

There are so many different team building strategies this year. Last year, I was very RB heavy at the top, but there are RBs in tiers 2, 3, 4, etc. that have some potential. I do love a lot of the top receivers like Diggs, Ridley, Reek, etc., but the WRs in the middle are stout. I think this year's rookie class is going to beast. Chase, Waddle, Smith, etc.

Another option is starting with Kelce if you have an end of 1st round pick.

What're you guys thinking?

It doesn't help that each one of my leagues is different lineup/manager total/format haha.

Just finished initial dynasty draft, 12 team PPR, QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/WR/TE/FLX/SFLX/13 bench. Older than most teams but went for a more “win-now” approach:

QB: Wentz, Brady, Ryan, Jimmy G, Haskins
RB: Mixon, J. Jacobs, M. Sanders, James Robinson, D. Singletary, Rh. Stevenson, G. Doaks
WR: AJ Brown, D. Adams, M. Thomas, Julio Jones, C. Samuel, K. Toney, Tutu Atwell, Agholor
TE: Kelce, Fant, H. Henry

Thoughts?

The mobile chat feature is my favorite thing about Sleeper, especially playing with 2p2ers and other people I don’t know outside of internet communication.

The player stat details are also great. You can also put players on the block and show interest in other players for people to see.

The browser is sort of meh, but I mainly only use the phone app. Easily the best phone app between Sleeper, Yahoo and ESPN.

Definitely a win now team. I’m not a fan of the backs outside of Mixon, but everywhere else is pretty strong for this upcoming season. Although, I worry about Ryan without Julio.

QBs look gross to me and not sure about having both AJB and Julio. If you’re gonna embrace the win now philosophy I’d consider making a trade centered around AJB for QB help, while maybe trying to get a Jacobs or Thomas upgrade as well. Obv depends on other teams rosters but for example something like AJB/Jacobs for ARod/Ekeler type of deal? Might be giving up a bit of value since AJ is worth so much in dynasty, but think it would def help you win now and having one elite dynasty value vs having zero really isn’t going to have much effect on your future.

Brady will be fine for this year. But yeah, he’s pretty much banking on Wentz or Ryan to be a strong QB2. I like Wentz if he stays healthy. Jimmy G won’t be starting by the end of the season. Haskins is pretty worthless.

Agree about having both AJB and Julio. Having both players caps the ceiling on a team that is already run first, but if one goes down, the other becomes much more valuable. They don’t have much behind them. At least Kelce is set it or forget. But that’s the tough spot of making Kelce your first or second round pick.

I like your trade idea.
