Anybody playing this year? Fantasy baseball never seems to get much traction here at 2+2 but I figured I might as well start a thread just in case anyone is interested in intelligent discussion. Then again even when we have participation intelligent discussion about fantasy baseball
here has never gotten much traction either

I have my first draft this afternoon and 2 more Saturday, one Sunday and one Monday. All Yahoo roto pro leagues. I may or may not add another one or two depending on how they go. Anyway I am really looking forward to a full season! I feel a lot of my edge comes from embracing the season long grind.

I’m doing best ball drafts but that’s much different

First draft went okay, coulda been better and coulda been worse. The run on closers happened fast (as always!). I really wanted to get Hendricks, Hader or Chapman. I did get some okay bottom feeder types though and Pressly and Montero should (?) be solid I think. I was in the 5 hole and really hoped deGrom would be there and he was. The plan was to double tap starters 1 and 2 but the 2 guys I wanted in the second (Giolito or Darvish) were gone so I took Mondesi for the steals. He was my goal for the third but it looked like waiting for one of the other starters was safer. I think the offense checks all of the boxes and the core pitching is good. The back half of my pitching staff and hitters will be fluid

I have a hunch Cron is in for a big year this year. I'm glad you both got your pieces.

Cron in Colorado has gotten a lot of hype going into these last few days of draft season. I have a couple shares and it makes sense. He hits the ball as hard anyone and should be right in the middle of the order and had a monster spring training. Then again this guys seems to always be hurt. He could be a huge bargain if he can stay healthy. I like getting my hitting from the back half of the draft usually only taking 3-4 hitters in first 10 rounds so I rely on guys like him to produce.

It was fun starting off the season with deGrom and Scherzer both being delayed due to COVID. NOT.

deGrom pitched a gem last night. The bullpen let him down. Hopefully Scherzer comes out strong tonight.
