Obviously the RB situation is difficult but strong enough elsewhere that this team can eventually win...also u have enough qb depth that you could probably solve the rb situation quickly

Draft strategy from the 1/2/3 slots is interesting this year in 12 team leagues. Im finding it very difficult to build enough RB depth from these slots. I find it almost impossible to field a strong enough team if i take Lamar/Mahomes ever in the 2nd/3rd. Im even finding it difficult to take kelce/kittle at 2/3 turn unless the other pick is a RB (so 2rb, 1 te start...then hopefully get chark/mclaurin as first 2 wrs). On the rb front, I find usually i end up with Conner, or worst case Carson as the bottom end of the AJones,Drake,Jacobs,Ekeler tier rarely falls far enough. There isnt a lot of good rbs falling to the 4/5 turn (maybe akers/mostert) or 6/7 turn (maybe gibson). Starting to think i need to take a shot at fournette a little early to be able to build some rb depth. If anyone has any advice from these slots, would love to hear it...Also anyone leaning zeke over saquon in ppr?

At least our top 2 are the same haha. I do think the top 2 are relatively far ahead of the bottom 4.

I'm not a fan of Seattle receivers, they're just so inconsistent, especially with the run first mentality. Lockett and Metcalf will have some nice games, but they'll also have some duds. Brown will run into the same problem too, but I think he has a chance at better consistency being by far the best receiver on the roster.

I think Allen is pretty worthless this year, but what do I know? The Chargers just made him the second highest paid receiver in the league, but I think it's prettylol.

It's tough. The top 15 backs are generally off the board by pick 20. There will be some leagues with guys taking Lamar, Pat, Kelce, Kittle, and some of the receivers. But generally, a lot of teams are starting RB/RB. I started RB/RB in 4 out of 5 leagues (including 2 superflex), except for the 8 man draft I did last night. That's why I felt like getting a little risky and changing it up haha. I took Zeke at 2 and then went Julio/Reek. I didn't really like the way the draft fell after that, but I should be able to recover through trades and the waiver wire since it's 8 man.

I think Zeke and Saquon is a flip. I took Saquon at 2 in one league and Zeke at 2 in my draft last night.

Alright, time to start the mend. So what's fair to give up for Kyler from this squad? The Kyler owner is the worst player in our league. He took Mahomes in the 2nd then took Kyler in the 10th. He took a defense in the 5th, a kicker in the 7th, a second defense in the 13th, and a third defense in the 15th lol. Just to give you an idea. As you can imagine, he needs help across the board.

Stafford
Zeke, Gurley, Taylor, Akers, Fournette, Moss, Scott
Julio, Reek, Robinson, Chark, AJ Brown, Cooks, Diontae
Hurst

Right now I offered Cooks straight up just to see what he does haha.

If Kelce are Kittle are still there then you need to take one of them. Otherwise you can get Ekeler occasionally. Pick 24/25 seems a bit too early to me to rake Conner, so I guess I would end up looking at receivers and hoping for a Montgomery or a Hunt when it comes back around. Tricky spot.

Had my 2nd auction draft and went all out on studs this time. Is my rb2/flex/depth situation too bad or is it manageable
.5 ppr 10 tm YPL $200 budget

Qb Allen ($3)
Rb Barkley ($65)
Rb White ($3)
Wr Thomas ($61)
Wr Adams ($50)
Te Higbee ($5)
Flex M Jones ($3)
K Lutz ($1)
DST Pats ($1)

Bench
Diontae Johnson ($2)
Michel ($1)
M Brown ($1)
Crowder ($1)
Slayton ($1)
E Sanders ($1)

Tried to get higher upside rbs like Edmonds but kept getting raised and didn’t have enough money

Starting roster and WR depth looks great. Flex will be fine; RB depth the only glaring hole. Unfortunate you couldn’t get more RBs because with Thomas/Adams you really don’t need 6-7 WRs on the team

I assume M brown is Malcolm not Marquise ?

Yeah Malcolm, should I grab someone like AD or one of the Jax rbs on the wire?

At half PPR I wouldn't be leaving Thompson on the wire ever

I had one of these yesterday at half PPR yesterday and went Golladay/Lamar, then four WR's, Waller and White in 4-9, with CMC in the bank I think it's really easy to wait forever on RB2, grab someone that's good in a PPR setting and just drop a huge chunk of FAAB when a great spot occurs

He’s going to give a decent 10 point or so floor, but there isn’t much upside. I’d rather be looking for handcuffs if available. But Thompson would probably be the second best back on mg’s squad. I’m not a believer in James White.

Makes sense. I guess you could drop Slayton or Sanders for Ozigbo. Sounds like Armstead will be our for a while.

I’m assuming Mattison, Pollard, Scott, etc are gone. Brian Hill might not be bad, especially if you don’t believe in the health of Gurley.

James Robinson maybe? I heard the Jags love him and his play in training camp was the driving force behind the Fournette trade.

Robinson another possibility. I guess someone has to run that backfield, but I’m not sure any of them have a ton of upside.

4 leagues this year.

3 have FAAB
$1000
$500
$300

so that will be fun having different dollar amounts to ratio all season.

Just before my work league draft started, noticed commish set it to 1 pt per 10 return yards and 1 point bonus for 40+ yard receptions, rushes, and TDs

Meaning Cordarelle Patterson is projected as the WR1 by 20+ points?!

I ended up taking him and Mecole Hardman (projected WR5 in this format) on the back end, but feels weird to even consider starting either of them

QB: Dax
RB: Mixon, David Johnson, Antonio Gibson, Mattison, C Thompson
WR: Tyreek, AJ Brown, DJ Chark, Tyler Boyd, Patterson, Hardman
TE: Waller
K: Gould
DEF: KC

12 team? Looks good to me, did you intentionally try to lock up the NFC north running game?

Nuk gets his extension. Granted it's only 2 years, but $54.5 million with $42.75 guaranteed. Wowzers! Apparently Hopkins negotiated the deal himself. Good for him.

Arians says Fournette is picking things up quickly and should have a role in week 1. We can probably expect him to be getting 75-80% of the snaps by the end of the year, right? He's not great, but I still think he's pretty far ahead of McCoy and RoJo at this point as far as ability and skill.

I hate that Tampa kept McCoy after signing Fournette. That really caps Fournette's upside. I think he'll push Rojo off the field on 1st, 2nd, GL work but McCoy is basically their 3rd down back now.
