It'll definitely be close. Probably a flip in non-PPR. Just need him to stay out of the end zone. I'd say 3-1 dog in PPR.

My juggernaut ran into the mothership of variance.

I have Tyler Bass and a 45 point lead vs: Josh/Myers/Singletary 1.25 PPR

close i think, but i dont like it.

Re: 2020 Fantasy Football Thread

Had one incredibly stacked team (Cook, Adams, Ridley, Robinson, Waller and got Jefferson on waivers) that outscored everyone in the league by 200+ points and missed the playoffs.

Another league I spent half my budget on Michael Thomas and Godwin, snuck into the playoffs and won the championship by starting Mike Davis, Aiyuk, Hooper and Emmanuel Sanders off Waivers)

So it all evens out I guess

I'm in a 12 team .5 ppr keeper league that everyone is at least half decent to good in and has been around for a decade now where we just had a guy win the championship for the 3rd year in a row, and this week he bested an opponent who started Kamara, Cooks and Rodgers (with disappointing Henry and Hopkins weeks) because, not surprisingly, he ran like God with a Brady-Gaskin-Adams trio (+ Kelce/Bernard/AB) that was better. To make me a tad more upset is that he finished 6th, 5th, and 2nd in total points for the regular season each year and, in a league where 6 teams get in the playoffs and top 2 get byes, he didn't get a bye in any of those years.

Maybe it isn't quite as fun, especially for more recreational players, but I think a playoff format of something like top 4 make the playoffs and 1st, 2nd and 3rd is determined by point totals for weeks 14-16 sounds pretty appealing to me atm. Anybody in leagues like this here?

We ded mon. The towel has been thrown.

Diggs has been unbelievable this year, wow. Below 8.6 pts in 0ppr only twice all year.

Prediction: Diggs’ 2021 redraft ADP will be in the 2.04-2.08 range

Basically where Antonio Brown was being drafted in 2014 (the last season before he was the consensus WR1 draft pick for multiple years)

But he’ll outscore Ridley + Metcalf (who will be drafted at the 1/2 turn at the latest, after Tyreek + Davante) so grab Diggs in the early 2nd if he’s available.

Re: 2020 Fantasy Football Thread

Season recap after I just missed taking down tarheels in the 2p2 superflex league:

11 leagues
10 into the playoffs
5 into the finals
1x 1st; 4x 2nd; 2x 3rd

Really strong regular season where I felt like I got a lot of things right... just couldn't finish this final week.

Biggest hits: high exposure to Josh Allen, Calvin Ridley, Travis Kelce, James Robinson, Will Fuller pre-suspension

Biggest misses: drafted zero of Adams, Diggs, Hopkins; high exposure to Kenny Golladay, James Conner

fun season as always, glad to be able to get it in despite covid concerns. looking forward to the 2021 thread!

Re: 2020 Fantasy Football Thread

Wow, shark.

My biggest miss of the season was taking Michael Thomas 5th overall in a PPR because I had already taken Dalvin Cook 5th in a previous league and didn't want that risk on 2 of my teams.

That and a lot of Gallup and Hayden Hurst.

Biggest hit was doing well with QB, especially in Superflex. Across my 4 leagues:
Drafted: Murray, Dak x2, Watson
Traded for: Josh Allen
Picked up: Hurts, Tannehill

Only real mistake at QB was the league I traded for Allen is really high QB scoring league and took Stafford like 14th or 15th QB off board.

The good news is it is waaaay better than team 8 at least
Anddd I just shipped with this team, traded MT + tonyan for kelce when he was set to return which likely saved me, as well as waivering Jefferson and then starting Wilson in the ship over Godwin/bell which was a tough trio to choose for my last starter

It was certainly a close one haha.

I had 5 leagues, lost in the quarters in 3, missed the playoffs in 1, and then won against you. Still can't believe my team ran good enough after losing both CMC and Fuller.

Time to start scouting for next year!

Re: 2020 Fantasy Football Thread

Your finals was a thing to watch. Not like my consolation match, but the Precept Win % Watch was fun.

6 Leagues
6 Playoffs
2 Lost in Quarters (1 iffy decision)
1 4th
3 2nds

Always the Bride's Maid.
No profit this year.

Time to take a week off and then think about a Playoff League.

Re: 2020 Fantasy Football Thread

What type of playoff leagues are out there? My friends have always done the NFL.com one where you pick players prior to first weekend and there are multipliers if they advance (or had a bye). Any other options? I haven't been a big fan of it. Maybe I just suck at strategy and try to fade too much for a 10-12 person field.

I ran a couple of Leagues last year.

And the year before.

And the years before that.

In the next couple of days, I'll put some ideas on paper.

Re: 2020 Fantasy Football Thread

5 leagues (less volume than normal due to COVID concerns)

3 ships
1 2nd
1 4th

Basic strat of rb heavy early (along with no top 3 picks) and WR heavy mid rounds plus getting one of Watson/Russ (who was replaced with Hurts in playoffs. Lucky to avoid any Dak) worked out great.

My standard overrating of Diggs more than made up for my standard overrating of OBJ. Then picked up a bunch of JRob to go with all of the Gibson I drafted and traded for a bunch of Kelce. The run good was real.

Looking forward to a COVID free season, see you guys in next year’s thread!

Nice haha, feel decent about the specifics of my draft analysis at least In season work like that is always so key in football, and I prob wouldn’t have started Wilson in that spot so nice, clutch call there.

Kelce was a huge cheat code this year, what an unreal season, especially combined with the wasteland that was the rest of the TE position. Jefferson was a guy I whiffed on completely unfortunately, this rookie WR class seems super special though.

Nice work!

Re: 2020 Fantasy Football Thread

Both my Kyler leagues won the ship. Had Dak in 7/12 leagues, the QB stream was rough this year, I remember taking duds from Cousins, Dalton, Stafford, Bridgewater to name a few.

Seems like some of these top WRs have a more consistent workload than the top RBs at this point. Next season will be a tough draft.

Who are we picking up off waivers that wasn't drafted and not likely to be a roster right now that would have some value as your last pick in the draft? Any names come to mind?

Re: 2020 Fantasy Football Thread

AJ Dillon prob fits those parameters in most leagues. Darnell Mooney is only rostered in 14% of Yahoo leagues and ARob seems likely to leave. Denzel Mims and KJ Hamler could get significant QB/coaching upgrades. Jameis maybe?

My keeper league that disbanded this year did that the previous three seasons and I liked it. Probably good it disbanded as my keepers of AJB, Godwin and Kittle wouldn’t have been as good as expected (but they would have been kept for a 15th and two 11ths).

I don't know if it is Yahoo or some other site that usually releases the #'s on most popular/winningest rostered players.

Gotta figure Kelce owners crushed this year.

Re: 2020 Fantasy Football Thread

I do like predicting next years rough draft rankings.

First rounders in no particular order, not including any rookies: Kamara, Cook, Henry, CMC, Tyreek, Davante, Kelce. I would figure Saquon and Zeke hold onto late first round value. Then there are whole ton of people that could go around the turn.
