FYI for those of you that use twitter to follow FF news (the best way) I highly recommend following @32BeatWriters; especially during this time of year.

They follow every teams beat reporters and retweet all of the tweets with good/important info. Super helpful with training camps ramping up

Yeah, I am anti-beat writer training camp praise.

How did drafting Curtis Samuel over DJ Moore turn out last year?

Yeah beat writers are generally pretty clueless evaluation-wise (I’m sure there are exceptions to this though). Reports on who is running in which personnel groups can be helpful, though they often lack nuance so should probably largely be disregarded as well. Also would advise ignoring any positive coach quotes this time of year (see CJ Spiller a few years back). Negative/critical coach quotes are often actionable however (see Dante Pettis last year).

who was drafting Curtis Samuel over DJ Moore..? (I had a ton of both and loved both at cost but their ADPs were pretty far apart)

Not saying live or die by beat writer tweets; just useful nuggets you can use in your process if you'd like.

Following Jamey Eisenberg gets most of them retweeted my way anyways (at least the fantasy relevant ones)

But yeah, I just looked back on Moore vs. Sameul and they were like 3 rounds apart.

9/10 - we can probably start another thread to discuss how exactly we want to run this? Any taker for the last spot?

I don't have the time guys. Sorry I'm going to have to pull out.

The videos they post have some value to me. I get to see who the play was against. Makes all the difference. If Chark does something crazy against Jaylen Ramsey (not on the team anymore) then it definitely counts more than doing it against a guy that's not likely to make the team.

here is thread for league if people want to check-in / weigh in on some of the settings:

https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/1.../#post56431539

If we can get it going, great - and I am happy to get the league set up on whatever platform we decide, if not, no big deal.

really like Jonnu Smith as well in that last round TE category...He's got some speed and legit tackle breaking ability and not that many pass catchers he has to compete with

Here are a few late round (100+ ADP) guys I like more than consensus:

QB- Cam (once past the top couple tiers of QB, you should be drafting based on upside only imo, and streaming as alternative)
RB- Matt Breida, Darrell Henderson, Deandre Washington (Darrell Williams too)
WR- Sterling Shepard, Jalen Raegor, Mike Williams, Parris Campbell, Laviska Shenault (Dionte Johnson too, but everyone is on him so doesn't really count prob)
TE- Chris Herndon, Irv Smith Jr.

Some top 100 guys I'm higher on than most:

QB- None really, market fairly efficient, top 6 or wait and shoot for the moon/stream
RB- Miles Sanders, Kenyan Drake, James Conner, Kareem Hunt
WR- Lockett, McLaurin, Diggs, Marquise Brown
TE- None really, clear top 4, or else wait and grab two breakout candidates, though I probably have Kittle ranked higher overall than most right now (16)

Wheatsauce who you like better in dynasty, Marquise or Chark?

I'm bummed it looks like my keeper league is not continuing. Keep three players a maximum of three years at a cost of two rounds higher each year. My three keepers were going to be AJ Brown (15th round, eligible 3 years), Godwin (11th round, 2 years) and Kittle (11th round, 2 years). At least I won the championship last season and was runner-up the first season in the three years of the league.

Not sure on Parris Campbell. Philip Rivers tends to pick one WR and pepper that guy with a near league leading Target share. It's a pretty safe bet that receiver will be T.Y. Hilton. I like a lot of this list though. Conner and Hunt are both great draft targets at their ADP. Still not fully buying that the Eagles won't bring another RB in but if they don't I'll get on that Sanders train.

If he likes Shenault I'm going to guess he has Marquise>Chark. I would fade Marquise at his ADP. That run first offense scares me. He'll be super boom or bust. He averaged 3.5 targets a game the last 9 weeks of the regular season. Scary.

I'm also higher than anybody on Chark. He averaged 8.1 targets over his last 9 games. He was definitely better with Minshew too.

Not that you asked me lol. Just sharing.

I like Chark quite a bit this season actually (have him as top 20 WR). Shenault love is more of a fade on Fournette than Chark combined with extremely low cost draft-wise.

That being said in dynasty I indeed would prefer Brown given I think has a higher ceiling than Chark (though admittedly he likely has a lower floor if only because of his size).

Seems quite unlikely that Baltimore will ever pass less than they had to last season, and Brown was almost certainly affected by the screw in his foot and despite those things was quite involved and efficient for a rookie.

This is the worst part of dynasty leagues and has happened way too often to me, sucks man

That could certainly be the case with Rivers and TY, but again, Campbell is so cheap and there is a reasonable chance that TY is at least somewhat cooked or is bothered by nagging injuries again. Could do a lot worse with your 5th or 6th WR. According to FantasyPros ADP guys like Dede Westbrook, Larry Fitz, Hunter Renfrow, Breshard Perriman, Tee Higgins are going ahead of him which seems ridiculous, hell even guys that are well ahead of him like Robby Anderson, N'Keal Harry, Justin Jefferson and Breshard Perriman are guys I would take Campbell over.

I super high on Waller, I like to include him in the group.

Unless you meant him in the top 4, I was assuming you meant M. Andrews and Ertz.

Yeah meant Andrews and Ertz. Have Engram over him too (don’t kill me Rafiki). Not interested in Waller at his current price given all of the additional targets the Raiders picked up, seems like he’s priced real close to his ceiling. Hopefully he can run better on TDs though.

So you see a significant increase in pass attempts this year. I'm not factoring that into my projections. Which is where we are getting different numbers. Lamar Jackson did throw the ball 59 times in the loss to the Titans in last years playoff game. So if they find themselves down a lot it's certainly possible. Brown is better than I thought so he should be the main beneficiary if that happens.

I read somewhere that the Ravens drafted Duvernay this year because they know they can't attract big time FA WR to Baltimore because of their style of play. Doesn't sound like a team that will be changing their game plan this year but who knows.

It will be interesting to see what happens there.

Are there any concerns of fat mike ruining Zeke or is Zeke too good for that? I tend to think Zeke is too good, but fat mike does things that no one else does.
