At a point, TD regression concerns stop being a thing. Some guys catch TDs and some guys don’t. I see no reason to believe Fuller will stop catching TDs given his role on the offense. He’s caught at least one TD in 7/11 games. His targets are high quality. TDs are king in fantasy.

Who cares if Watson looks for Cooks on 3rd and 10? Cooks has 3 TDs on the season. Deshaun looks for Fuller when he needs to score a TD.

Would you say the same thing about Adam Thielen?

Tale of 2 thoughts.

Thought #1:
No, sir. The Thielen/Jefferson situation is different than the Cooks/Fuller, IMO.

Jefferson gets 5.9 targets per game while Thielen is getting 7.6.

Fuller is averaging 6.8 targets per game while Cooks is getting 7.1.
Cooks' work seems like it's coming consistently throughout each game, while Fuller's work seems to be coming sporadically and more when it's extreme garbage time.

Fuller has scored 8 TDs, which is about 2.6 above expectation while Cooks has 3 (about 1.5 below expectation).

Turns out Thielen has 11 TDs and is about 7 above expectation while Jefferson is about 1.25 below expectation.

Thought #2
You're right. These situations seem very similar, but for some reason, I trust Thielen more.

Thielen has shown consistency over a longer stretch of time, but I think in Fuller’s situation, past failures don’t necessarily predict future results due to the massive change in circumstance of Nuk not being there this year. There were also reports in the offseason that he worked very hard to change certain things about his body to fix his injury issues.

I can cherry pick a little and remove the game where Fuller seemed to get a little banged up and only played 63% of the snaps with zero targets against Balt in week 2. If you do that, his targets are right there with Thielen at 7.5 per game.

Fuller even with the Balt game added in is 6.8 targets, 4.8 catches, 79.9 yards, and .64 TDs per game for 16.5 PPR per game. He has 5 100+ yard games out of 11, so I’d say that’s pretty significant.

Compared to this blind resume 8.6 targets, 5.5 catches, 75.2 yards, and 1 TD per game for 19 PPR per game. Does this player expect TD regression as well?

Spoiler:
And before a massive 32 targets in the last 2 weeks, the player above was only seeing 6.75 targets per game. It’s the resume of one, Reek Hill.

I get why Fuller may not be trusted by all, but I’m confident having him in my lineups for my playoff runs. There may be some bust games, but that’s a possibility for pretty much every RB and WR except maybe a select group of 5-10.

It all boils down to the perception thing IMO. Fuller hasn't played more than 11 games in a season since his rookie year, people aren't used to seeing these numbers. It is just weird to see him in lineups full time and producing. I think he'll probably get drafted around WR15-20 next year and probably be pretty fair value with good chance to return very high value. WR is so frigging deep.

Hopefully we are able to fill out rosters in the playoffs. Seems like half the league has at least 1 positive test in the org.

And yes, WR is so deep. Guys like Diontae aren’t even in the top 20 for the rankings for a lot of people.

Tons of teams have 2-3 receivers that are very playable. AIR RAIDS IS HERE.

Gonna rage if I can’t start Diontae simply because the Ravens don’t have their house in order

Just added Hinton. If he's starting at QB, do you start him over a real WR (my top two are Godwin and Claypool).

ESPN didnt have him in their roster database, so he is only available as a QB and leagues that dont do daily waivers dont have him available until next week.

I'd be worried about counting on Claypool as that game could be postponed again, but I wouldn't start Hinton anywhere. Good chance they run a lot of wildcat or just have him hand off nearly every play.

Thoughts on commish banning Freeman/Hinton as rb/wr since likely to play QB?

I think you should allow the player to be played in whatever position the platform allows.

I picked Hinton up, but I don’t think I’ll be able to pull the trigger. This not the same as Taysom.

I picked him up in one league where my opponent has a couple of fringe guys playing against me.

We just blocked non playoff teams from making roster moves, had emergency vote.

Think the playoff teams are gonna face some insane situations with picking up people. Made the call as commish and vote passed. We don't have a loser's bracket of any kind.

In the only league I am out of it what I am doing with daily waivers:
Make no waiver claims the next day.
Only add if I have a severe need at a starting position.
Field best team from roster and make other teams sweat.

^same. I’m mathematically out of it in one of my leagues. Trying to give respect to the other players with regard to waivers.

I think I'm just going to bench Diontae, I have a deep WR core and would have put him in the flex spot. Gonna roll with some combination of Gio/Chase/Brian Hill at RB2/Flex

Probably a good call. I don’t see how they can justify playing the game with more guys showing positive just today. And it’s not just Balt’s side anymore. Pitt is showing some positives as well.

Agree. Commish in one friend league banned it. Don't really care cause it's a small $ amount and more for fun, but he said not allowed.
