200 budget and he said McCaffrey went for $79. He didn't have any money left. Looks good to me but idk.

That squad looks really good to me.

Meh. I think (read: hope) McCoy was kept more for insurance than anything. Maybe for the first few games as Fournette works his way in, McCoy will be used on third. But I don't think McCoy is that good anymore.

Even on KC's squad last year with a bunch of different backs nowhere near as good as Fournette, he only caught 28 balls on 34 targets. I guess we will see what Arians does, but I have hope Fournette can become a 3 down back. Especially after watching him catch 76 balls last year.

Maybe I'm just trying to pump myself up since I need Fournette in a league where I'm thin at RB, but I really do think he takes over the backfield at some point. Tampa only has 4 backs on the roster as it is, and McCoy was simply kept over Dare.

Hunt signs 2 year extension. It'll be interesting what happens with Chubb's second contract, whether that's in Cleveland or elsewhere.

Yeah I might be reading it wrong. Taking over that backfield completely is def in the range of outcomes. McCoy a lot better in pass pro than the other two RB though. So it gives me pause because the Bucs cut their special teams captain to keep McCoy. McCoy doesn't play special teams so the only way he can add value to his team is pass pro and catching passes.

A tinge worried about that lolol.

Looks like he wasn’t the only one doing his first auction. That’s an amazing team even for a 10 teamer. Not sure why he thought he needed 3 TE’s but whatevs.

Very true. I certainly don't know anything about the Bucs ST, but maybe Dare was expendable, even as the captain and Arians felt better keeping McCoy one of the RB backups than Dare as the emergency RB who is also the ST captain.

The concern is certainly warranted, and one of my backs should work out (Taylor, Akers, Fournette, Moss, and Scott with Gurley and Zeke as the top 2), but a lot of uncertainty with all of those bench backs haha. Just rooting for Fournette to bust out in this sick offense. He should certainly score more than 3 TDs this year.

Fournette also just said "for the first time in my life, I really have a quarterback." LOL.

Ok I'm going to tell him you guys think it's a bad team and he should practice auctions more. Then I'll offer to buy it for half price because I want a challenge.

I am heavily leaning towards maxing bidding CEH, but if I get outbid (I made the playoffs and non-playoff teams get 5-10% more draft budget) on him I am wondering if I try max bidding jonathan taylor or dobbins. We only draft 6 + a defense so if I land one of these guys with the max bid then I will have 5 $1 type guys.

Thoughts on the max bid strategy?

Every year there is 1-3 guys that go for 90+% of someone's draft budget.

Yeah he called me an hour before and we talked FF. Told him to fade WR early for RB and grab Chark and Diontae to make up for it. We didn't know it was an auction draft at the time.

Had a weekend vote to change up our longtime league over the weekend. Thoughts on the following format:
QB/QB/RB/WR/WR/TE/Flex/Flex/K/Def with a .5 PPR.

10 team league, so that’s 20 QBs being started every week. First time doing 2QBs, snake draft.

Lamar/Mahomes/Dak are no brained 1st rounders in this right? With only one RB slot, I’m kinda leaning towards maybe even taking 2 QBs if I’m at the back end of the first.

Crazy how waterwolves has a buddy that drafted every single player that waterwolves has touted!
