Last rounds of the mocks have cousins, Carr and darnold hanging around.
I think I'm fine to start the season with one of them if I totally punt the position.

I'm always pro WR early and would normally pounce on Reek but come the 3.12 it's the likes of LeVeon (if I'm lucky), Singletary, Fournette, Taylor.
Just seems like the dropoff of RB is huge and I have to hold my nose and go RB/RB in the 1st and 2nd.

any thoughts?
wr feels incredibly deep this year, think you have to start rb/rb from 11/12 spots. I find myself struggling at rb later in draft if i start rb/wr. Id much rather go Sanders/drake and then happy to take 2 of thielen/moore/arob/cupp/ridley area...even the 5/6 turn feels like it has good wr choices

Would rather have Prescott over Kyler, but same difference.

Goff and Stafford in double digit rounds is a slam dunk. Or Big Ben?

Prescott is underrated as a rusher. At least around the GL. He always seems to get 5-6 rushing TDs.

My love for Kyler is no secret. His upside is pretty enticing for me.

WR is incredibly deep this year. I prefer grabbing sure things or as close to sure things as we can get in FF and then grabbing WR later. Allen Robinson was my guy i loved last year. This year I'm high on Diontae Johnson and DJ Chark. Both are going to outperform their ADP pretty easily.

Seen Kyler going around rd 6 this year, are u willing to spend a 6th rounder on Kyler/qb in general?

I am if it's Russ, Deshaun, Kyler, or Dak (plus Lamar/Mahomes who'd be long gone).

Oh yeah. I'm still high on him. Have him as my QB3. I can see people preferring Dak. He's a little safer but Kyler has the same upside as Lamar Jackson imo. He's shown flashes of it but they haven't put it all together quite yet. Was super disappointed they drafted the guy from Clemson that doesn't really have a position. They made a huge mistake not taking the T Tristan Wirfs. Kyler is a top 7ish asset in the NFL. Protecting him should be their #1 priority no matter how bad the D is.

I want to leave the 2nd rd with at least one surefire guy. I like both Sanders and Drake but if their situations don't turn out as we expect and they both bust it wouldn't be totally shocking. The plan is RB/WR for me there I think. Hill or Julio can also be busts but I think that's just variance, still lower risk than 2 emerging "workhorse" RB's.

But any RB choices after the 6th are pretty grim.

My Rd 15 special this year is Chris Thompson. Followed Gruden there and should eat into a lot of Fournette's targets. At least up until he's put on the IR in week 4.

I'm not sure if I said it itt or another thread somewhere else but word I'm hearing is that the Eagles are in fact going to add a big back to replace the role Jordan Howard had last year. If and when they do that Sanders value is going to drop. It makes sense because that's what that coaching staff has done in the past. They run 3 back rotations. I'd fade Sanders at his ADP.

Yup, which is another reason I have someone like Jones over those guys. We have seen what Jones can do, and he’s done it consistently.

The only way Hill or Julio bust is if they get injured. They’re about as sure as it gets if they are on the field. But you can say that about a lot of the players at the top.

Thanks for the info. Definitely not surprising. Pederson loves the RBBC. And I don’t think the strategy is wrong from a football standpoint. It’s a player preservation decision. And a player skill focus decision.

people have been making that point all off season. yet they haven't added anyone - and the only thing that has been coming out of coaches / camp so far is that Miles can handle a full load and they are going to unleash him

Yeah we'll see. They haven't yet but a bunch of veteran cuts coming. Word I'm hearing is it absolutely is in their plans. So I'm going to go out on a limb and say I'd be very surprised if they didn't. That's what Pederson does. If I'm wrong and Pederson goes against what he's done in the past and he rides Sanders I'll happily come in here and say I was wrong.

All insight is appreciated. Who cares who is right or wrong? This is all speculation at the end of the day, anyways.

Feeling like I am getting set up to be the sucker, but liking Ronald Jones at his ADP relative to other rbs in his area. Feel like he needed a year to find his legs, but hes talented and has the right set up

What are people doing with Mostert? Eye test made him look elite last year, but was that just the perfect storm?

I certainly didn't mean anything by my comment. Dizzy was awesome itt last year.

Haha no doubt. Sorry if my comment came off that way. I know you didn’t. We are all here to have fun. I love the information this thread brings.

I feel the same about RoJo, especially with Brady in town. I am targeting him a lot in mock drafts at his current ADP. I hope it doesn’t rise as we get closer to the season.

Not sure how to feel about Mostert as I think Shanahan will always have an RBBC strategy. But he did look like the best back on the roster when he was there.

I'm guessing by the time drafts get into full swing RoJo will be dipping his toes into the 4th rd.
Only thing I can say about him is he probably has no competition at all. Arians NEVER plays his rookie RB's so I don't think that Vaughn guy is a threat at all.

I guess he's a rich man's Jordan Howard. Doubt I'll see him on any of my squads this year. Will be more than happy to take James White a round or two later who was reported today as lining up with the WR's.

6 man keeper ppr leauge.
I send Keenan Allen and Devante Parker for marquis brown and 2.01. I can’t keep Parker so I’m basically trading Allen for brown and the pick. Good deal?

2.01 in a 6 team league with keeper limits doesn’t seem that great, so trade seems meh to me despite being relatively high on Brown and low on Allen and Parker. Def not spew or anything though imo. Depends a bit on keeper rules (like all keeper league trades).

Well, I couldn't get this guy to budge on Zeke so I traded him Julio for Derrick Henry in 12-team half-PPR dynasty. I think it's fairly even, but for me with my depth at WR it's a great deal. After trade:

My RBs: CMC, Henry, Conner, AP, Guice
WRs: Tyreek, Godwin, DJM, TY, AJG, Fuller, MWill, Anthony Miller, AB

I'm currently in two 8 man PPR re-draft leagues. I have the 2nd pick and the 6th pick. Planning to take Barkley and hoping to get Cook. I might end up starting RB/RB/RB in the league where I have the 2nd pick based on some mocks I've done.

If the top 5 RBs go in the league where I have the 6th pick, I'll probably take Thomas or Adams and then plan to take best RB available, hopefully Jones, in round 2. This is a league where we start 3 WRs plus a flex, so I don't feel as bad starting out with WR.

How do we feel about Godwin and Evans this year? Does Godwin have the slight edge? Will they be better, worse, or about even compared to last year?

How do we feel about Golladay? I almost like Golladay more than Godwin and Evans.

Also, I'd be interested in joining at least 1 or 2 other leagues, so if anyone is looking for more players in one of their leagues then let me know. Ideally, I'm looking for PPR and either 8 or 10 man. Willing to do up to $100 buy in.

Not bad. I'm pretty low on Derrick as I think last year was probably his career peak, but who knows? He may keep on trucking. Half-PPR works in your favor.

Regardless, you needed another RB, so you definitely improved.
