Gage has a good chance at a repeat of last week. Atl defense is hot garbage, probably second worst in the league, just ahead of my Panthers. I expect Dal to be up by 2 to 3 scores at some point in this game.
Jackson is tricky, especially since the Eagles o line sucks. Not a lot of time for him to get open downfield, but he only played like half of the snaps last week and still saw 7 targets, granted only catching 2.
James White, much like Rivers does with his backs, was made by Brady. I just don't expect many 5 to 10 catch games, which is what you need out of White to start him. I don't think Cam is the type of QB that can support a pass catching back the way you need, especially if Cam is taking off and running himself.
Sammy very well could go off again, but he's shown us many times, just because he has a big game one week doesn't mean you can expect it the next. LAC quite a bit better than the Hou defense.

CMC did pretty well. Over 100 catches w/ Cam, IIRC. I don't think James White ever did that well w/ Brady.
With all due respect, I think CMC is on a completely different level than James White. So maybe I should have worded a little differently. But CMC is arguably the best back in the game right now. And even in 2017 and 2018, he was much better than James White is today. Plus, James White is not going to rush the ball much. He has to be sustained in the passing game. He ran the ball 5x last week. CMC is getting 15-20 rushes a game, regardless of his passing opportunities.
Not to mention, the back half of 2018, Cam played with a shoulder injury. We were 6-2 heading into the Thurs Pitt game for game #9 and Cam got destroyed in that game, including what I think to be his shoulder injury early in the game. He wasn't the same after, as we finished the season 7-9. In the first 8 games, Cam targeted CMC 7.25 times a game and completed 6.13 times. However, that does include one game at 14/15, so take that out, and it's not that good at 6.15 targets a game and 5 catches a game.
In the final 6 games with Cam (he didn't play the final 2, but I am including the Pitt game), Cam targeted CMC 8.67 times a game, and completed 7.5 catches a games. In the first 8, Cam targeted CMC double digit times in 1 game. Over those final 6, Cam targeted CMC double digit times in 3 games.
To take it a step further, Cam averaged 9.13 rushes per game in the first 8 games. Cam averaged 4.67 rushes per game in the second 6.
This will probably diminish my evaluation efforts a little lol, but I used the above argument as to why CMC shouldn't have been the top back taken last year. Obviously, that backfired, but I also didn't expect Cam to play 2 games and then have third string scrubs take over after that who rightly relied on the top offensive weapon and best back in the league.
You're pretty much hoping White scores a TD if you play him, imo. The only other way is if Sea gets up big and Cam just starts dumping it off. But I don’t expect that to happen.

Obviously CMC is better than J. White. No argument. My point was that Cam definitely can support a pass catching back just fine. I don't think J. White's problem is Cam. His problem is that he is one back in a 4 back rotation.
Nevertheless, you've convinced me. I'm likely pulling White for Gage.
Goedert or higbee .5 ppr. I’m a decent sized dog, so leaning goedert for variance
Agreed. I worry the Rams lean on the run game again. Goff only threw it 31 times last week. When Higbee went off last year, Goff averaged 43 throws per game over those 5 games.

Pretty tragic situation for James, actually. His mom and dad were in a bad car accident. His dad passed and his mom is at the hospital in critical condition.
