12 team PPR auction league, 4 keepers starting this season

Last year was the first year we made it a keeper league, so this season is the first year we need to select 4 keepers. 200 total points auction league.

Definitely keeping:

Zeke (56 points, which makes him by a decent amount the cheapest compared to what Kamara, Saquon, and DJ went for last year)

Deshaun Watson (25 points - this is definitely too high he was the first QB off the board and had no idea how much QBs would be going for....BUT all of the other top QBs are going to be keepers on other teams, and he is projected as a top 2-3 QB by almost all rankings I've seen)

For my final 2 keepers, I am deciding between 3 players:

Sony Michel (7 points - potentially GREAT value but also knee injury concerns and uncertainty of how much his role will change with Damien Harris being added in the 3rd rd.)

DJ Moore (2 points - another great guy for value at this point amount, have seen him consistently ranked top 25ish )

Robert Woods (20 points - decent value I think and probably a fringe WR1/high-end WR2, just not sure if the other two are too good of value to take him).

Any thoughts? Thanks

I'm keeping them in this order: moore, woods, michel, zeke & watson so watson would be the one I wouldn't keep.

Yeah, I love Watson and think he’s lined up for a great year, but keeping him for $25 is huge spew. Moore is good value, Woods and Michel provide a little surplus value, and Zeke’s price is about break-even, but no way Watson should go for anywhere near that much in a single qb league.

Yup, especially given that at least half of the league will likely be keeping a QB and not bidding on one.

I'm still torn on whether to take DJ or Nuk with the 5th pick in my 8 team league. I'm leaning DJ, but as Watson goes, so will Nuk.

We do start 3 WR plus a flex.

If I go DJ, I am going WR in rounds 3 and 4. And then depending on what RB options are available in round 4, I may go WR again.

My initial thought was Watson too based on how many points he is, but I had convinced myself to keep him based on projections and the fact that all the other good QBs would be kept by other teams. But now I am reconsidering based on your recos lol.

FYI, I do have Mitch Trubisky as my backup from last year at 1 point, but don't think he's a viable starter week to week so probably a waste of a keeper.

I've never been in an auction keeper league before...I would have thought the available good QBs that aren't kept typically go for a premium the year after since the pool is smaller, but I hadn't considered tarheels comment, that there are also far less people doing the bidding. And I can always just bid on him again and almost certainly will pay less than 25 pts. I think I know what I'm gonna do, thanks guys.

Mix of sharps and duds in the league and there is bound to be some reaches in the draft so I'm hoping some good value will be there at the turn, something like Gordon or Bell falling to me would be nice. But certainly would be delighted with a Thomas/JuJu start or something of that nature.
I've been in a 14-team league the past ~7 years. Seems like the mix is similar to yours. .5ppr, 3WR/2RB with WR/RB/TE Flex. I found that owners pick RBs too early the past few seasons. I have the 6th pick. Would easily take Hopkins if it were a 12-teamer, but having some doubt with the extra two teams.

I'm almost certain the top 5 will be RBs. If I go RB (Bell? ugh), I can do whatever I want in round 2. If I go WR, then I feel like I'm forced to go RB in 2nd round no matter unless I want my RB1 to be someone like Henry (gross). Finding RBs on WW is pretty difficult as well in these deep leagues. Nearly all backups are on a roster. Still another month until the draft so have plenty of time to think about it.

I definitely think you should draft at least 1 RB with your first two picks. No idea who will be available when it gets to you in the 3rd.

Debating this choice in rounds 4 and 6 for a ppr league often...

Would you prefer ertz/kittle and then a wr in the ridley/pettis/williams/anderson range or do you like a wr in the cooks/edleman range combined with engram/henry?

I like guys like Cooks, Woods, Lockett, DJ Moore, Boyd, etc. more than Edleman, but I wouldn't blame you for taking Edleman. I also feel iffy on Engram, although Eli has to throw the ball to someone, right? I'm a big fan of Henry, OJ Howard, Njoku, etc.

Tough to say exactly as I have most of those WR choices in different tiers personally (like I’d take Engram/Cooks over Ertz/Anderson), but if you can get Kittle in round 4, do it!

12 team .5 PPR start 2rb, 2wr, 1 TE, 2 flex $300 draft budget

keeping:
thielen for $10
juju for $10

pick one of:
Derrius Guice $8
tyler lockett $8
mike williams $8
hunter henry $8

Saquon, zeke, d johnson, melvin, leveon, fournette, julio, ODB all expected to be FAs with gurley, hopkins & mccaffery all may be FAs if this matters.

My usually strategy in this league when I have decent to good keepers is spend $200 of my budget getting 2 of the 5 best players and pray for no injuries.

10 team $200 auction keeper league. Can keep to up to 3 years total (draft+2 years) for a $5 premium each year.

2rb/3wr/1te/1flex 1ppr w/ punt return yards

Definitely keeping Connor for almost the minimum. Not quite sure between Jones and Hill. Have a lean, but just want to get opinions.

James Connor $8
Aaron Jones $8
Tyreek Hill $44
George Kittle $6

My assumptions are these players will be kept: Hopkins, Mack, Kamara, Damien Williams, Chubb, Theilen, OBJ, Kelce, JuJu, CMC, Kerryon, Zeke, Godwin,

I like Lockett > Williams but it's close enough, either is fine.

I don't see how you don't keep Connor, Jones, and Kittle at that value. Tyreek seems pretty break even at $44, maybe winning slightly, maybe losing slightly depending on the league. You are crushing value on the other 3. Slight disclaimer, I'm very high on Jones.

I assume since you're asking about Jones vs Hill, you are set on keeping Kittle along with Connor.

I'd probably rank it

Williams/Lockett - coin flip on who ends up having more points.
Henry
Guice

But Henry seems like nice value for $8. I really like his potential as the top TE for the Chargers. We know Rivers likes to throw to the TE, and Hunter has some production history as the 2nd/3rd TE option. Although, coming back from ACLs is always a big unknown. Granted, he will be almost a year and a half removed from the injury by the time he takes his first snap.

I wouldn't consider Guice with the other 3 options.

Which side do you prefer in a PPR keeper league?

D. Johnson
O. Beckham, Jr.

M. Thomas
L. Fournette

assuming D. Johnson = David Johnson it is the DJ/OBJ side by a lot imo.

DJ >>> Fournette
Odell and MT in the same tier (I like Odell more personally so pushes that side up even more)

Agreed, but I like MT over odell but it is close enough where it doesn't compensate for the gap from DJ to 4net.

ya regardless of preference MT and Odell ADP are almost identical. DJ is going 2 rounds ahead of Fournette.

.5 PPR where you keep 11 for free for as long as you want
2rb, 3wr, 2 flex

I'm keeping:
godgers,
saquon, le'veon, james conner, cohen
amari, cooks, hilton, watkins, edelman
austin hooper

villain has
mahomes
d freeman, jordan howard
julio, thielen, golladay, ridley, curtis samuel
ebron, goedert

I got offered thielen or julio for my le'veon. Do I still take even though my WRs are all pretty solid and if so which one?
