I have the 1.03 pick in a 10 man PPR league. I'll be going Kamara assuming CMC and Barkley will be gone, which I think they will. I think my strategy from there will be to take best available WR at 2.08, which in a lot of mocks has been Evans. I guess I'd take Allen, but I'm also not super high on him this year. People in my league are crazy, and I'm expecting someone to go Mahomes and maybe even Watson before it gets to me at 2.08. So I'm hoping that one of Odell, Reek, JuJu, or someone like that may still be available. If not, I'm cool with Evans.

And then at 3.03 I'm going to go best available RB. Which a lot of it has been Freeman, K. Johnson, Josh Jacobs, A. Jones, Fournette, etc. Who do we like as the RB here? If Chubb is there, I'm snapping. But guys like Chubb, Gurley, Mixon, etc. have all be gone once it hits me at 3.03.

I could also potentially go Chubb at 2.08 if he's there and then best available WR at 3.03, but then that may leave me with guys like Edelman, Cooks, Woods, Diggs, Thielen as my WR1.

What do you guys like best?

It's tough to gauge my league versus the mock leagues as the mock leagues are pretty in-tune. Some people in my league are not lol, so a lot of times there are guys sitting there that I never expected.

this is how I approach the 1.03 in 10 man ppr:

r1 kamara (or cmc, barkley)

r2 realistic targets: kelce, evans, dalvin cook

would snap take any of Chubb, Odell, Juju, Reek if still there

r3 realistic targets: damien williams, fournette, keenan, thielen, kittle

3 is also the best draft spot this year imo - especially in more casual leagues where some guys will fall a few more spots than they should.

Fair. I don't think Kelce will be there at 2.08. I don't really want Cook, and I love his talent. I just don't trust Cook to stay on the field. I'll probably just settle for Evans if none of the WR are there. Although, I'll take Chubb over Evans if he's still there. Right now ESPN has Chubb pre-ranked 22nd overall, and a lot of the people I play with draft off of those pre-rankings. So I'm hopeful. I'm also afraid ESPN will update rankings and move Chubb up before I draft on Sunday. Yahoo has Chubb pre-ranked at 4th overall.

It'll be really tough if Chubb AND one of JuJu, Reek, Odell, etc. are sitting there at 2.08 lol. But that'll be a decision I'm happy to make.

If I go RB at 2.08, I'll take best available WR at 3.03. If I go WR at 2.08, I'll take best available RB at 3.03. I don't think I want Kittle. I was pretty disappointed with the Luck retirement because I liked Kamara at 1.03, Chubb at 2.08 and T.Y. at 3.03. I don't really want Thielen. I guess I would settle for Keenan.

If I go Evans at 2.08, I'm hoping for Fournette at 3.03. I'm also not a believer in Damien making it through the season as the starting back, so I'll probably avoid him at his ADP even though Chiefs.

We will see.

It's always funny how different my team is at the end of the season given how hard I analyze the draft. But picks 1-6 or so can be the difference with a few high ceiling late round players sprinkled in.

So Zeke isn’t going to play this year right? Awesome. Glad I drafted him.

I've been happy with it in my mocks.

good call on ESPN ranks. Yahoo has Chubb at 4 (lol @ both tbh) - definitely a good one to exploit. Getting chubb at 2.08 is a no-brainer

Really? Didn't he hold the single season yardage record for a TE for like an hour before Kittle broke it?
Fantasywise he's gotta at least be in the conversation as having a Gronk type ceiling..

Gronk scored 28 TDs in 27 games, 32 in 34, 55 in 64 before he was 27 years old.

Kelce is pushing 30 and has 32 career TDs.

I get that Kelce is talented. I get that we can project ten TDs. Or at least eight as a bad floor. But Gronk was scoring almost every game.

Maybe. I think it's difficult to comp Kelce. But 2.01 is hard for me because that's Gronk territory and he ain't Gronk.

Sure, Kelce isn't what Gronk was as a TD machine, but Kelce still scores TDs. And what Kelce lacks in TD production, he makes up for in receptions and yardage. And most of my fantasy posts are from a PPR standpoint.

Kelce put up WR1 numbers last year at 103 receptions on 150 targets, 1,336 yards, and 10 TDs. In PPR, that's a season total of 296.6. Gronk's best season was 2011 at 324.7.

Obviously, health was an issue for Gronk his whole career, but none of Gronk's other seasons besides 2011 were as good as Kelce's season last year.

Gronk's second best season was 2014 where he played 15 games, caught 80 balls, 1,124 yards, and 12 TDs. His season total was 266.4 points.

Kelce also received a major upgrade at QB last year. Before last year, he had Alex ****ing Smith. Gronk had peak Brady his whole career.

Mahomes being out there is quite a bump for Kelce compared to Kelce's history before Mahomes arrived.

With the baked in health risks for Gronk each year, Kelce is most certainly in Gronk territory, and may be even slightly ahead of Gronk territory.

The funny thing is, Gronk and Kelce are the same age.

Over 115 games, Gronk averaged 6.9 targets, 4.5 receptions, 68.4 yards, and .69 TDs. This would be a weekly average of 15.5 in PPR.

Over 80 games, Kelce has averaged 7.2 targets, 5.1 receptions, 65.5 yards, and .4 TDs.

This would be a weekly average of 14.1 in PPR. But again, 4 of those years were with Smith.

Last year, Kelce averaged 18.5 per game. Mahomes is GOAT.

Lol, why couldn't you have posted this yesterday with your ideas for all rounds? I was in the same position yesterday (QB,2RB,3WR,TE,K,DST). All of my research comes from this thread.
Here are my results:

1.03 CMC
2.08 Michael Thomas
3.03 Gurley
4.08 Woods
5.03 Cooks (I should have taken Edelman here)
6.08 Michel (Josh Jacobs was sniped 3 picks before)
7.03 OJ Howard (another mistake but what else? Wilson, Mayfield, Wentz?)
8.08 Curtis Samuel
9.03 Fuller (Excellent week one matchup)
10.08 Tyrell Williams (I am losing the tread here)
11.03 Barber (McCoy sniped two picks before)
12.08 Newton
13.03 Henderson (In case Gurley gets hurt in the next 7 days)
14.08 Ballage

I love that team, well, outside of the fact that you have 4 Rams including a hand cuff lol. But they should be one of the best offenses in the league again.

I'm not sure how to feel about Gurley, but he's good value at 3.03. Same with MT at 2.08. I can't believe you got him there.

Michel could ball out and just crush TDs this year. I also can't believe Jacobs almost made it to 6.08.

OJ isn't bad assuming all of the other tier 2 TEs were gone.

Samuel and Fuller have upside.

Williams will likely just be average.

Barber is much better at 11.03 than McCoy, IMO.

Can't believe you got Cam at 12.08.

I think Ballage is the starter by the end of the year.

It turns out that the remaining Tier 2 TEs disappeared by the time it came back around, but oh well. I was pissed almost getting Jacobs but feel better about Michel now. Williams is a clear mistake and Henderson is just a 7 day handcuff as I will need a D. Glad to see I should be in the money this year. Thanks to all in the thread.

OJ is going to smash this year that’s crazy value getting him in the 7th. Idk what your tier 2 TEs are they don’t include OJ. He’s consensus #4 TE this year

Lol that's my bad. I was thinking of Njoku. I am not as high on OJ as you, but he's solid. Although, I'd probably still take Engram and Henry over him.

I'm worried about OJ having enough volume, but I guess everyone will have opportunity in that Arians offense.

Honestly, I haven't put a ton of time into researching TE because I'm planning to get a lot of Kelce.

Don’t love my team. Hilton in the 4th round was bad, Montgomery in the 5th was good. Rest was meh. Gonna need to work the waiver wire and stream WR’s. It seemed like RB depth is deeper than I originally thought.
Don't love relying on Harry here in your 3WR, and Hilton is bad as you said. Seems like a bubble team.

IDK why I ended up with 5 qbs, but whatever like three teams dont have a qb3 so hopefully I'll be able to swing a trade. My RBs and TE are weak. (I am a derrick henry believer though)

I guess it's also hard to judge a draft without seeing the whole board

Probably going to drop Rudolph or Montgomery for a Kicker.
Yeah was gonna ask about 5QB. I'm a bit surprised Mariota goes where he does relative to Eli. You could have waited on QB4. I'm not sure you're gonna get out from under those RB's. Usually when you don't have RB's, the few you have you want them sturdy. Lot of old legs in your bunch.

my first pay one in re-draft. 10 man standard, 2 of the usuals and a flex. Got Baltimore D. Wanna see if I can slide someone into IR first. We dress a K but didn't draft one.

I feel pretty good about it. Seems balanced. Feels like I have enough RB depth to overcome Gurley or DJ disappointing.
