Ramirez injury sounds like may be a bone bruise, thank goodness

Thanks! Grabbed Holland twice, already gone in 2 others and still on waivers in my other leagues. After grabbing him I checked twitter and sure enough their was the AZ beat writer with the news. I guess I gotta pay close attention to these beat guys. Or at least this thread

Someone on reddit put together a list of twitter accounts to follow:

https://www.reddit.com/r/fantasybase..._twitter_list/

I've been using it and it seems ok. Probably could be pared down a bit as it has 194 accounts, but so far seems like it's getting me all the news quickly.

Our multi-sport fantasy dynasty league that's been going strong since 2014 has one opening!

It's a real fun and unique experience where you manage three separate teams (MLB, NFL, NBA), payouts for your finishes in the three leagues as well as your aggregate finish for the year, rookie drafts/minor league system, and the most fun part - you can trade players & picks across sports, so deals like Harper for Saquon Barkley can and do happen!

We're looking to find a replace for Drewbacca's team who was 2nd/3rd in MLB/NFL this year and in the running for a top 3 overall finish in the league. Will send roster info to those interested but his teams are headlined by his NFL team with Ezekiel Elliot.

You'd be taking over for him starting with this upcoming MLB season (which is the start of our 2019 year).

If you are interested/have questions please shoot me a PM. Thanks!
last one before i look outside 2p2. would love a 2p2er as this has been an awesome 2p2 tradition!

Also looks like there’s a $100 roto league that could get off the ground with a few more owners/degens

Nick Senzel had an ankle sprain while in Minor League camp, in walking boot for 1-2 weeks, may not get called up 3 weeks into season as expected
Souza had a bad knee injury yesterday, and team doens't seem optimistic about it

Update on Souza:
"Souza Jr. has an ACL tear, LCL tear, partial PCL tear, and posterior lateral capsule tear in his left knee."
out for season, hope he can recover well

Apparently no athlete has come back from a capsule tear before, hopefully he can
Also, Tatis officially made opening day roster for Padres

Weird decision for SD unless a new contract is imminent.

It's funny in my NL only league I have the first minor league pick. Was torn between Tatis and Senzel. The plus for Senzel (April)was that he would be up before Tatis (June/July). Guess, I was wrong on that one.

Padres are going to be a fun team this year. They have the ingredients to surprise. Imagine if they signed Keuchel and Kimbrel... they could be a fringe playoff contender and that’s saying something in the NL.

Lindor suffered "acute ankle sprain" in Minor League game yesterday, so his timetable is pushed back...

Knebel having TJ Surgery, would assume this pushes Kimbrel to Brewers

I would just like to complain that ESPN's new interface is terrible.

is Dallas Keuchel ever gonna make a roster or what?

Yeah! And what about Craig Kimbrel? Anyone know anything?

it's been really quiet, maybe he just waits for a contender?

He was in talks with Brewers/Braves, and with Knebel needing TJ this seems like the arm they'll go after

Some early good looking SP's:

Shoemaker: 7 IP 2H 2BB 7K
Looked good in 2016, struggled/injured in 2017 (forearm injury/surgery), now healthy and may be back in form

Matt Boyd: 5 IP 5 H 3 ER 1 BB 10K
Try not to be biased, but liked him last year, had 1 bad inning tonight. 19 swing and misses (had 13 twice last year)

Trevor Richards: 6IP 4H 1ER 2BB 4K
Not a great K rate, but looks to have improved from last year. Had a plus changeup last year, and only 2 other decent pitches, but added another changeup and a cutter this ST, which caused a .621 WHIP and 20K in 19.1IP. Sure ST doesn't matter, but he was a fringe guy last year with over a K per inning, if the 2 pitches help, he could make a leap.

Marcus Stroman: 7 IP 2H 4BB 7K
The walks are a worry, but he seems like he could bounce back from a bad 2018, and mentioned this ST where his shoulder hadn't felt this healthy since 2017.

Why is Brendan McKay only listed as 1B in Yahoo? Seems like his upside is much higher as a pitcher and that's where the Rays reportedly prefer him.
I'm assuming Yahoo will eventually treat him like Ohtani, but its annoying that they don't even list him at his most valuable position.

his milb page lists him as 1B, I would guess that's why

Does anyone else's league have Total Bases as a pitching category? Do walks count as a total base against the pitcher? It seems like an odd category. Anything particular traits in pitchers I should be looking at K/BB? Swing and miss, etc?

a walk doesnt count as a base for hitters, so it would be really strange if it did for pitchers. Best to think TB as a counting stat form of SLG. So TB against would be counting stat form of SLG against (i think). Pitchers who have high HR/FB or HR/9 in general would be ones you would probably want to filter out or knock down a peg. Can't think of any off the top of my head but there's def a handful of pitchers who put up otherwise decent ratios but give up a ton of homeruns, which would hurt them in TB relative to pitchers who maybe dont strike out as many guys but induce a lot of groundballs
