In your format I would definitely look to overpay for some high upside guys in the middle rounds. Most people will draft mediocre players that have starting jobs locked up for the guaranteed at-bats, but I don't see the value in tieing up too many bench spots with that type of player.
It seems like in this league having "depth" isn't an advantage because your CI, MI, and two OF sit on the bench every day. Seems like overpaying for starts would be the way to go, I think. Just seems like most of the auction values I am looking at assume that all 23 of my guys will be starting and therefore I need solid-ish guys at every slot, but that does not appear to be true.

What site has designated positions for bench players? Is it built into the software that way, or is the league rule just that your bench must consist if those positions?

Either way, if you can only roster 6 total pitchers then SP in the elite tier of aces are ridiculously valuable
Edit- apparently I can't read. I see that you roster 9 pitchers.

Matt Chapman (17 rd)
Gleyber (16th rd)
Conforto (8th rd)

Over the next 3 years they will move up +2 rounds, +4 rounds, +6 rounds.
I don't see a TON of separation so it would depend a bit on category or position need. Gun to my head I would probably keep Haniger, Chapman and Torres and take the biggest round discounts.

If you wanted to keep Tatis I can't really blame you although he might draw the most trade interest too

Also, you only start 6 pitchers (we have daily moves).

I never see it discussed explicitly, but it seems like draft software on places like RotoWire, Baseball Prospectus, etc. set their prices assuming every player starts. Is this correct? Is our league different in that only some of the 23 players start? If so, I assume this means that the top-level players are being way undervalued in our drafts.
I have never played in a league that required specific positions on a bench. I could see if you had say two reserves to require them to be one hitter and one pitcher (still think that would be a bit strange).

Definitely strange, I've seen maximums of a position on a team, but never positions on the bench
The cutting of the positions for an NL only makes sense though, just weird they wouldn't make them bench spots

Trying to figure out keepers for a 12 team, 6x6 league (with 2B, OBP instead of BA, and holds). Start 9 batters (1 Util) and 9 pitchers (3 SP/3 RP/3 P). 7 bench slots but no prospect/not active spots.

Need to pick 4 of the below - inflation is $4 per year (already included for this year) and can keep someone forever. Auction budget is $265.

Gleyber Torres - $5
Victor Robles - $5
Fernando Tatis Jr - $5
Scooter Gennett - $5
Jose Altuve - $29
Christian Yelich - $38

James Paxton - $14
German Marquez - $5
Miles Mikolas - $5

Welcome thoughts - thanks!

Also, if you haven't done YPL's before, here's some information to make you think you should.

2 YPL's in this year so far, both have had 2 autodrafters (a 50 and a 100).

Tonight's 1st round: Arenado, Trout, Betts, Ramirez, Turner, deGrom, Scherzer, JDM, Acuna, Judge, Yelich, Altuve

Not sure about Yahoo ADP, but Razzball's rankings and NFBC's ADP are both easily downloadable to excel

Harper to Phillies (as if you havent heard)

More importantly, Salvador Perez with a UCL injury. Getting a "2nd opinion", doesn't sound promising

Why do them so early since spring training injuries happen every year? Although 2 autodrafters would imply softness. I would rather wait for the week before season starts as drafting big names that go down in late ST would tilt me.

Because if you have done a bunch of research already you can get huge value on many players before ADP and pre draft rankings have been adjusted on the various fantasy platforms

what cs3 said, I crushed them last year no matter the time (I cashed 9/10), and there's only a limited timeframe I can do, they dont have 10 a night.

6x6 with Obp instead of Avg with TB being the 6th category.

Escalating keeper costs for every year kept. Parentheses are the round each player can be kept. Who do you like best between:

Carpenter (12)
Andujar (26)
Shaw (25)

Leans are in the order listed. Obv age and cost are the big factors between Carp and Andujar. Leaning Carp because of OBP and the fact that this is my last year keeping Trout so I'm going for it this season. Carpenter will probably not get many RBI leading off, but everything else should be good and he should have a very high run total

i like the order you listed as well, probably aren't keeping carp beyond this year though

My league is looking to switch over from a weekly matchup acquisition limit to a weekly starting pitcher limit. The ESPN settings seem a little misleading. We are looking under the section for games played limits maximums for pitchers. The info tab on ESPN say that this number is for maximum total pitcher starts over the entire season.

However, when I started a new "test" ESPN league, this number defaulted to 12. Which obviously, you would have way more than 12 starts in a season. Is this limit really a season limit or do we need to enter the weekly limit?

Most of the free ESPN leagues I've played in before had a 12 weekly pitcher max, which would make sense with ESPN's default. It's just the reference to a season limit in the info tab is throwing me off.

Any help would be appreciated it.

What podcasts are you guys listening to? I have been devouring many of them for the past few weeks as I am gearing up for drafts. Some seem pretty good and some not so much. This is what I have been listening to:

Fantasy Pros (my favorite)
Rotoworld (pretty good)
Flags Fly Forever BP (good)
Yahoo (good)

Fantasy Headliners (youtube) meh. The guy seems like an idiot

Razzball - UHG! Almost unlistenable. The shrieking laughing Dbag is a complete tool and almost impossible to listen to for the 1 hour plus each podcast runs.

Just wondering if there are any good ones I am missing?

I've always enjoyed the CBS fantasy guys

They're way better than ESPN's, anyway
