Whats up fellas! Glad to tune in for more ff.

waterwolves, whats the official sleeper list looking like?

I haven't read too much so far, but Goff seems to be going way too low after last year. My only other thing is staying away from Melvin Gordon - usage looks fine, but his ypc hasn't gotten better, and I can't believe that his job is un-loseable. Going way too high for my liking.

In order.

Tyreek Hill (ADP 29)

Hill is a top 10 value being picked in the 3rd. He only trails A. Brown in my rankings. Mahomes is a lot better fit with the second best deep threat the league has ever seen ( and last time I check when Mahomes throws a pick it's going to be good for Tyreeks prospects in that game).

Gronk (ADP 21)

He's just outside my top 12. Who else are they going to throw too. If he stays healthy (Big if)this might be one of his biggest seasons. He wins leagues when he goes crazy.

Fournette (ADP 14)

Jac quietly signed Andrew Norwell to improve their already good OL. They are building this offense around Fournette. He dropoed 15 pounds in the offseason and the coaching staff is talking about getting him more involved in the passing game. It's all Fournette all the time in Jac. If they had a better QB/offense I'd say he is a top 3 value but i dont see a 20 TD ceiling with suck ass Bortles. Still 1500 yards total and 12+ is totally there. 50+ catches too.

Brandin Cooks (ADP 47)

Goff is a stud and Mcvay is the best OC in the league. Cooks is 24 coming off three 1000 yard seasons in a row. He's a WR1 getting drafted as a low end WR2. Give me that all day.

Do you see Cooks as TD dependent player because of Cupp underneath and Gurley getting 20+ touches a game? plus with that Def this year I could see them trying to slow down the offense a little. Or do you think Cooks is just that good and he's gonna be open too much for Goff to ignore it?

Im in a 10 team PPR keep 2 league. The keepers are just any 2 guys on the team then the draft starts. I have Melvin Gordon and Michael Thomas and the 3rd pick. Jordan Howard, McKinnon and Julio Jones will be there for my pick who are you guys taking. Starting rosters are 2RB 2WR and a Flex

You have Gordon nailed. He is a perect example of why i like, at least in dynasty, targeting players I believe are good. A guy could come in and out play him easily. Then you have an asset that loses all its value overnight. If i own a player like that I like to trade them for players that I think are undervalued.

Hunt is another one. I like him but when he went in that tear last year I didnt see special and didn't think he would sustain it. So I'd trade him for like a hurt David Johnson + something.

I'll have a list after our dynasty drafts. Wish I could post it now haha but i will maybe get in a few more 2+2 leagues.

The offense is getting better overall with Cooks. I'm a big Goff fan. This narrative that Goff isn't good going down the field is false. Cooks will be fine. He will likely land somewhere in the WR7-WR15 range. Brady missed Cooks or underthrew him a ton. Just in the first 5 weeks I watched a bunch of plays that broke wrong for Cooks (PI in the endzone/underthrown/didn't see him running wide open deep middle) that could of had him as the #1 WR in FF through 5 weeks. Kupp is hurt more by Cooks arrival than the other way around.

Not sure why the rams Didnít do it more last year.

That said, even if you donít like him Albert Wilson was the number 2 last year. I think Hills rec most likely goes down but him YPC goes up. They canít just bracket him this year since Watkins can run those routes too. Plus Mahomes should at least in theory send more of those deep balls than smith. Remember the philly days when Reid had Djax and Maclin going deep. Thatís what I picture with Kelce being a threat To take balls away as well

That said third round heís too +EV to not take. Def top 10 potential. Still risk but I mean is there a top 10 potential thatís super safe there?
I'm not a Watkins fan so we likely won't agree there. I just see some down 14 in the 4th type games with Mahomes throwing for lots of yards and lots of picks. That screams "Tyreek save us!"

Tyreek is an ascending player imo.

4.2 speed
40+ vert
6.53 three cone
13 225 bench reps at 5'08 and 185 pounds

He's a spider monkey with cheetah speed.

No I've been firmly anti-Gordon for years, so I would not trust him as my RB1, but he is still certainly a better option than Howard or McKinnon, so you're stuck with him as your RB1 for better or worse.

Julio on the other hand is a great WR1, and you'll be getting him as your WR2, which seems like a nice advantage to have, especially in PPR (even if it is 2rb/2wr/flex).

Just because you aren't in an ideal spot doesn't mean you should spew value trying to fix it. Make the most out of the situation you're in.

Even if you hate Julio and are super confident in your ability to find WR's then Julio would be a much more valuable trade chip than Howard or McKinnon to parlay into a RB1 upgrade.

Re: 2018 Fantasy Football General Thread

I'm in a semi- dynasty league (12 teams 7 keepers). Standard scoring.

It looks like I'm going to end up with 3 giants. Saquon, ODB, and Engram.

I'll have saquon for 4 yrs max, engram 3 yrs, and ODB for just this year. I like all 3, but I don't want to be starting 3 giants every week. Thoughts on who to trade and for what?

I could take Hopkins instead of Barkley, but given its standard I'd prefer to take the upside of Barkley. Also I already have OBD, Amari, Gordon, and maybe Crowder at WR. Kenyan Drake would be my rb2 if i don't take Barkley.

I'm also trying to trade up from 1.2 to 1.1 to get bell over saquon because I have a win now team, but I don't think the guy with the 1st pick realizes his team sucks even w/ bell.

Ya prettt much. I love cooks ability I just donít think heís a great fit in this offense. Was super high on him last year, this year im unlikely to own any of him.

And thielins a snap over hill in ppr. Iím standard he only went over 10 only 5x last year. I think itís closer there. We could debate cousins vs keenum but I think thatís kind of a wash but it should benefit Thielen and Rudolph over Diggs so very possible heís lands top 10 this year. Either way both are value in the third

Re: 2018 Fantasy Football General Thread

Cousins is a massive upgrade over Keenum IMO.

I take Thielen over Hill in PPR

I also think Engram in the second/third round and as the second TE we need to cool the jets a bit. Engram is clearly behind the tier of Ertz/Kelce IMO (all behind Gronky)

Man if people are taking Engram in the 2nd, I'm happy with the TE I'm getting in the 5th.

Re: 2018 Fantasy Football General Thread

Alex Collins - Did better than expected last year. Not that talented so could lose his job. Getting drafted far too early for me.

Chris Thompson - Great pass catching back coming off a big injury. People think he's a great RB who just isn't being utilized appropriately, but he's a little guy and broke when overused.

JuJu-Smith Schuster - Had a great, unexpected rookie campaign. Showed some immaturity last year; hopefully figures it out. Getting drafted in the 4th round, which seems too early for me. I see him as a regression candidate.

Allen Robinson - CHI - Coming off the ACL injury and switching teams. He had a depressed ADP, so I think I'm buying. Trubisky might be better than Bortles. Hopefully his game plans can be creative enough to get him some looks.

Eric Ebron - IND - He's athletic, but I'm just not a believer. He had chances upon chances with the Lions, but either ran the wrong route or dropped the ball. Stafford and his dink and dunk with a lack of running game should've been perfect for him, and he still couldn't succeed. Add that to splitting TE looks with Jack Doyle, and I'm so out on him.

It's good news that Sony Michel is getting his first knee procedure before game 1 of the preseason, right?

+1 to what precept said. Just gunna add that Collins may have fumble issues. 6 fumbles in 26 games is going to get him in the doghouse at some point. Think he may have had more in the preseason a couple years ago with Seattle although I may be thinking of Michael. Didn’t matter much last year with nothing behind him. Could be a great opportunity for Dixon though

+1 to Precept’s points. I’ll simply add that the only one of these guys that I like at their current ADP is JuJu (late 4th / early 5th).

I was an Ebron truth-er for a while (“*this* year will be his break out year”, said every year). I’m off that train now, but I admit I’m slightly intrigued that a fully healthy Luck can be better for Ebron than Doyle (whereas an 80% Luck or 100% Jacoby is better for Doyle). I have zero exposure AORN, but I’ll be looking at his stat lines and routes run during weeks 1-2.

When fully functional, the Colts offense can support two TEs at the ~TE12 (ie borderline TE1) level (Dwayne Allen, Coby Fleener).
