Now I have the 2nd waiver. Seems like a slam dunk to pick up a FA like Watson or Ebron and burn the second waiver on Graham?
Seems fine to me if Watson and Ebron are the best of the wire. Waiver priority tends to cycle pretty quick in YPL's ime.

I'd say something like $15, maybe up to $20 if you really want him.

No way I'm doing that if I'm giving up Goodwin

How are the YPLs? Are they pretty sharp, and therefore, just a big variance fest? Or can a thinking player have a sure edge?

Re: 2018 Fantasy Football General Thread

Waldman wrote a big Gut Check article today saying you should go get Joe Mixon now. Even suggesting buying high now.

Hope everybody jumped on that train during their draft. He looks like a top 5 RB this year to me.

Absolute steal in the 3rd. Should have been a top 10 pick really......

Re: 2018 Fantasy Football General Thread

Also, lol @ my fantasy league. First year we switched to IDP (3 players instead of 1 DST) and I was dreading it because I don't follow football at that level.

People kept drafting big name players because they recognized them and were drafting them in the mid rounds while I waited until the last 4 rounds to take my 3 IDP and kicker, and just drafted based on people who A)had high season point projections based on our scoring system and B)had a late bye so I didn't have to swap out a draft pick early on since I wasn't keeping any on my bench obv.

Now for first add/drop after first week games, 80% of the transactions have been people add/dropping their IDP and chasing the players who had double digit points in the first week, a lot of those due to a TD.

IDP actually made my league win equity go up by a ton even though I know nothing about the players for the most part.

There is def an edge ime (though admittedly I haven't done any 1ks, so can't speak from experience there).

Unfortunately, due to it being only 10 teams with fairly shallow starting spots, the edge isn't as big as it could be, but it is certainly there...or I'm just super duper lucky and have been running hot for the last 5 years or however long they've had them

Any time extra decisions are added to an equation, create chances to gain an edge.

Its the main reason better players should advocate for kickers, because it allows people to spend a relatively early pick on what is essentially a game of chance.

I feel like trading away David Johnson is a good move right now while his trade value is still high. Edmonds is going to cut into his workload and his scoring opportunities will be limited due to the Cardinals being terrible.

Corey Coleman to NE. I know this guy has an equal number of teams played for and years experience and got cut by a turrible BUF team, but does he have any value in a keeper or dynasty league?

Any thoughts on Philip Lindsay and how Denver backfield played out in week one? He passed the eye test at least, but is he worth a high waiver in a deep league?

this is where the edge is in fantasy imo, at least if you are paying attention (something I need to do more of). Most people are playing/trading players, when in reality a game theory type approach with looking at people as collectible assets is how you win

Re: 2018 Fantasy Football General Thread

12 team PPR league where we start 3WR, 2RB, 2 Flex, TE so up to 5 WRs can start.

Im fairly weak at RB by design, but was offered Alshon Jeffery for my Lamar Miller, who is my defacto rb1. Can't do that right?
He also wants Duke Johnson, whom Id much rather trade than Miller. What kind of offer seems good to counter with?

I have these guys right now:
WR
OBJ, M.Thomas, TY, Goodwin, Lockett, Allison, Godwin

RB
Miller, Burkhead, J.Williams, Lindsay, Duke, Ekeler

What was Lindsay going for in your guys leagues who had waivers go through already? My RB situation isn't great (Collins and AP as starters and a bunch of flyers on the bench like Chubb, Blount, Jones III and Foreman) so really want Lindsay. Currently have $6 on him in a $30 budget FAAB. It's a deep league with 17-man rosters so not sure if I should put a little more to grab Lindasy

DJ could catch 8 balls a week if cardinals are terrible. This seems like a massive overreaction to one game

12 person PPR $200 FAAB 17 man rosters and the Lindsay bids in my league were:

25,25,10,9,5 the losing $25 bid was the Royce Freeman owner. The winning bidder had Hunt,Cook,Cohen,CJA,Gore and dropped Gore

Yeldon also went for $25 with two failed 10 bids

He's gone from 10% to 32% and a few outliers above that. It's one of those spots where you're gonna struggle to get this just right.

With Sexy Rexy in the protocol and Hill on IR, all Sony Michel owners need is for the guy to get on the field it seems. About as close to an opportunity as you get under Hoodie.

In my one FAAB where he wasn't owned he went for $26 with other bids of 23, 17, 7 out of $100

Re: 2018 Fantasy Football General Thread

Lindsay went for 50/100 in my work league. Doesn't mean much though as this guy is a total wild card. 50 max moves per season and he's already used 11. He ran out of moves like week 9 last year and had to start Hundley every week down the stretch as a result

Re: 2018 Fantasy Football General Thread

You clearly don't need Lynch, so trying to upgrade at WR3 or TE seems good. I'm just not sure Funchess is enough of an upgrade over Woods or Kittle over Doyle. And you don't need two top 10 TEs. Try to get a better WR instead without a TE in return as well. Like an Emmanuel Sanders or Adam Thielen type?

Assuming Woods and Funchess are basically equal (although Funchess might have more upside with Olsen out), you are trading Lynch for Kittle. Not a good trade.
