I said acquire......but I'm sure he will be dropped in some shallow leagues.......trading for him now while his price is low is what I'm mostly suggesting.

Yeah, I can't imagine blowing all your budget is a wise strategy. You don't want to be the first one without any FAAB, meaning you can't get anyone any longer.

How do you determine who is eliminated? Simply whomever scores the fewest points in a given week?

Just traded james Conner for alex Collins and don't feel that bad about it. Have a stacked team and feel like I will get to playoffs pretty easily and Conner value is zero to me at that point most likely....

Prolly gunna hurt for the next few weeks watching Conner go off but deep down I think it's the right move

Throughout the league as teams are eliminated you will still be able to pick up players as other teams literally can't fit them all to be your backups etc...

The goal should be to fill up your team with players who would make the top 3 if we had an All-Pro team

So off top of head these might be the all Pro Teams

QB: Rodgers, Brady, Newton
RB: Gurley, DJohnson, Zeke, Fournette, Kamara, Barkley
WR: Brown, Hopkins, Julio, ODB, Thomas, Hill
TE: Gronk, Kelce, Ertz

Plus whatever is left.

My strategy would be to try and get the Gronk and Rodgers type early, definitely don't leave Round 5 without at least a TE or QB, and probably both and then use my FAAB to acquire the super top RBs and WRs. Since Gurley is pretty damn high, I would probably be betting at least half my stack, and maybe more. I would be bidding a lot less for the DeVonta Freemans, Howards etc... maybe as little as 10% as they are likely to be superseded over time for better players, and the odds of a better player coming into the pool the very next week are pretty high.

There isn't much value in having depth in this format, so I would look to start my early round picks with

RB
Gronk
WR
QB

And later rounds with
WR
RB
Rodgers
whatever

The most important thing is

DON'T BID HEAPS ON ROUND 3-7 RBs and WRs. Look for them very cheap or for nothing, as they aren't actually very valuable. (A burkhead should barely even be started/rostered).

was able to pick up conner. its a dynasty league so he has future value as the likely starter in pitt next year. I'm thinking of offering him to the bell owner who is weak at rb (starting henry and powell in ppr lol) and wr. he has tyreke and gronk. I have Kamara, CMC, Antonio, mike Thomas, mike evans, fitz, josh Gordon and ertz. would ertz/conner be a decent offer for gronk? what about Gordon or fitz and conner for tyreke?

just let that team ride and keep conner for next year. I guess if you can get hill for conner/fitz do that but otherwise just roll with it

That was my thought too. Why not offer him for Zeke or Howard type? Connor isn’t ever going to be able to be a better sell high option, so aim high

I assume Yahoo lets you draft still, if there was enough interest to auction I could set one up to start week 3 - if it was an 8 man you could have two week game periods and end with week 15/16 as the championship. Thinking free just to see how they play with the view of doing cash next season?

Re: the Gurley question, I think it's roster dependent, if you're a Bell, Fournette owner etc or took Brown/OBJ etc in the first then spunk all the munneh, but if you've got, say, Barkley and Mixon or some other 1/2 punch that looks decent then I'd wait

DT/DE-JPP--he sucks--I want to replace him--is he worth keeping?

DT/DE seems like a crap shoot especially with assisted tackles not counting--should I be trying to upgrade JPP or sticking with him? He did 0 points last week--I'm not sure if it was fit, new system, etc.

LBer--Wagner (excellent), Lee, Foster (taxi)--should I just completely dump Lee at this point? I plan on putting Foster into the lineup as soon as he's done with injury and not looking back other than bye weeks.

I dropped Mark Barron for Lee--should I be picking Barron back up?

CB/S--Earl Thomas--Not the best but I think an upgrade for McCourty (NE)--not sure though, James (Taxi, Safety from Chargers)
