Will be interesting to see how the Pitt RB situation plays out

A cat in one of my leagues procured DeAndre Hopkins for Bell, and I'd certainly feel more secure with the Texan player

I too have the #4 pick and I'm pretty sure I'm going Kamara. Going AB feels like EV suicide with the quality of WR I can get in rounds 2 and 3. The RB available in the second round will be Cook/Freeman/Howard and I don't feel great about them in the 2nd but I'm more than happy to take one of Davante/Michael Thomas/Keenan Allen/AJ Green in the 2nd in a full PPR

That seems like the trend this year. Back to the mid-90s when the 1st round was so RB-heavy. I'm in a 2QB league with no bench. I really want Fournette there, and in every mock draft I've done, I end up being able to take Beckham in the 2nd round. So many RBs go in the 1st 7-9 picks, that the guys at 11-12 have no choice but to take at least 1 or maybe even 2 with their picks. They can't afford to go WR/QB and risk having Derrick Henry or Jerrick McKinnon as their RB1. So OBJ, MThomas, Evans, AJ and other top notch WRs are there for everyone in the mid-to-late 2nd.

What's the highest round you guys would draft these guys in Standard:

Gronk
Mike Evans
Royce Freeman
Josh Gordon
Sony Michel
Jordy Nelson

I'm assuming 10 teams

very early 3rd
very early 3rd
mid fourth
no interest Gordon, he's going in like 4th/5th, I wouldn't take him until 7th so I'm never getting him
10th round
12th

I'm just saw drawn to TD's for Gronk at TE. I've never played standard, but it's even crazier how much better he is in standard than PPR. I feel like moving him up in standard. Not sure if that's wrong...

It's the same Tyreek. All his catches are friggin TD's.

Absolute earliest for 12 teamers, if I'm drafting against myself or something:

Gronk- Early 2, I'd consider him at 12 though I suppose.
Evans- Late 2nd
Royce- Late 4th
Gordon- Late 4th
Michel- Like mid-7th I guess
Jordy- Idk 8th round maybe

What's the best app / site that allows you to create custom tiers by position while also letting you track who gets taken in a live draft setting?

I think FBG's Draft Dominator does that.....not 100% though.

In the YPro I drafted a couple nights ago, I was pretty happy getting Sanders for $6.
But then 2 picks later DT went for... only $4!
Wtf?

John Ross looks like a totally different receiver physically this year. Bigger/stronger. Gone is the rail thin guy from last year and now we have a 5'11 200 pounder......I'm not all in on him but I see a scenario where he could score 7-8 TDs this season. He's not really a great route runner and his hands are just ok but he is so fast it might not matter. That speed is so hard to deal with and opens so much up everywhere.

I'm trading for him in dynasty where I can and hoping he breaks out this year.

Been talking to a bunch of people here - the yahoo pro auctions are wildly unpredictable. Really depends on who you're drafting with, and then re-adjusting your strategy quickly.

Randon kicker question but why is McManus ranked so low? Denver kicker almost always top 10 in the league minimum and I've seen McManus ranked consistently outside the top 15

He was 18th last year, 16th the year before that, didn't bother looking further back, but just seems like your memory is off a bit

Also lol kickers.

I love your fantasy football advice but hate your name. I'm allergic to wheat and the name wheatsauce gives me the chills, lol

Is that where he finished?

Guessing it's due to an anemic offense but in a league that has more points for kicks from long distance seems like Denver kicker is a plus but idk bc as you say lol kickers

Kickers especially and sometimes defenses are derided at times in the fantasy community but I'm a purist, I like having them in play.

I also have come full circle with both. In most standard 10-12 team leagues, I definitely don't bother waiting until the end. I think it's well worth the 12th-14th rounder or so to grab one of the top guys. Like 97% of the picks you take after round 9 become waiver wire fodder anyways. I'm exaggerating these numbers but it's significant.

This is a pretty bad take IMO. You can find high upside guys who can potentially be studs if injuries happen. What happens to John Ross or Gerinimo Allison if Green or Adams go down? You want to stash these high upside guys in later rounds over getting the best kicker/defense in rounds 12/13/14

For people drafting 4th and myself 3rd, when the 2nd rd comes around you're looking at the likes of:
Gronk
Mixon
Howard
D. Freeman
Evan
AJ Green

I'm leaning heavily towards Gronk in this spot just based on positional upside. I'm not crazy about my team but it just feels like he is bpa there.
Honestly when mocking I kind of like how my team looks with a Bell, Howard, McKinnon (meh) start.
It's nice to lock up 3 solid RB's and just start firing darts at all the WR's and maybe grab Reed in like the 8th for TE.
Also no one seems to be targeting Clay for TE. Seems like got just as good of a chance as any of those round 10+ guys.

So guess I'm asking the same question we go through every year, where are you drafting Gronk?
I'll probably take him end of the 2nd because of upside and honestly he's just kind of fun to own.

Also, for people in keeper leagues that have IR, don't forget to snag Guice in like rd 12+ as a stash for next year. He'll be a steal at that pick and also possibly thinking about Hunter Henry if Guice is snagged earlier than I want to take him.

Always good to scoop those preseason injury guys and throw on IR for the year

In a 12 team half ppr league, who are u guys targeting at the 3/4 turn from the 11 or 12 spot? I’ve done a ton of mocks and still having lot of trouble through here. Just don’t love the choices at rb or wr unless someone drops (like tyreek!)

Ya I wonder what round I have to burn on him to get him. Probably a couple sooner than you'd expect.

Gronk is my top target in round 2 when drafting from one of the ~middle spots. I took him from the 5 spot after getting DJ rd 1 over all the guys you listed pretty happily.

In the league I drafted from the 11 spot I went: Julio/Fournette/Baldwin/McCoy to start and felt pretty good about it - this was before Baldwin said his knee wasn't going to be 100% all season though..

From the 11/12 spot rounds 3/4 I am targeting: Thielen, Kelce, Ertz, Larry Fitz, McCoy, Alex Collins, JuJu, Landry.

Not sure what I am doing with Doug Baldwin going forward

He went in the 10th in my half PPR 10-man keeper league. Gonna depend on the league but this seems about right to me. Henry went undrafted but was picked up after the draft (not by me cause I'm dumb).
