Yes, the year to own Mahomes was last year. This year you want to own Baker, LJ, maybe Allen but I think he's been inflated too much.

I am not a true believer that it's a boost for Kelce. I subscribe more to the idea that it's more mouths to feed and Kelce would have absorbed a lot of Hill volume.

My only active league is a keeper so I can't act on this news, but I would be hesitant to take Tyreek as a top 5 WR. This story isn't over IMO. Might mean I'll jump on a devalued Watkins.

Wait, ahead of Hopkins? Who are your top 3-5 WRs?

Disclaimer: all of my rankings are in full PPR.

Adams - I’ve changed my mind on my original list and put him as the top receiver. While Adams may not be the highest scoring WR, he is the most consistent. He did not have one single digit scoring game last season.

Odell - I love him in the Browns system with Baker throwing him the ball. My only concern is that there are a lot of mouths to feed in Cleveland. But I think they will be a top 5 offense and that baker is the perfect QB for him.

Reek - I like him slightly more than Hopkins. I think he has a higher single game potential, on average, with a similar floor.

Hopkins - Not like I’d be upset to have him. I just like the above 3 a little more.

M. Thomas/Julio - Tie for 5th. I’d probably have to flip a coin on which one to draft if they were my top options.

I would love to have Baker, but sadly I think his ADP will be too high based on my usual QB strategy. Maybe I’ll deviate a little this year, because I think Baker is going to kill it with his weapons.

Fair enough on Kelce. I just think KC is going to be throwing the ball enough that Reek will still be a net benefit for Kelce’s numbers. I think that his 150 targets last year are roughly his ceiling, with or without Reek, so might as well have Reek out there taking more attention from the defense.

I was thinking the same thing. Here's mine off the top of my head.

1. Hopkins
2. Adams
3. Julio
4. Thomas
5. Beckham
6. Juju
7. AB
8. Tyreek

I hope all of the villains in my leagues have Reek as the 8th best receiver. I’ll take him for 3rd round value, which is exactly where I got him last year. And he was the top scoring WR in PPR.

The only way he doesn’t repeat that production is if more comes out in his case and he gets suspended. I certainly don’t blame someone for docking him on that risk, but I’m definitely willing to take it in a one season re-draft scenario.

Also, I’ve seen him at a 3rd round grade, which is where he was last season. But I think Thielen’s ADP will be too high. The second half of his season last year was a real bummer.

I had Diggs ahead of him going into last year, and I have Diggs ahead of him again.

My goal is a top RB, Kelce/Kittle/Ertz and a top WR with my first 3 picks. Then I’ll just let it fall from there.

The more I think about it, if I can get a top guy at each of those spots in the first 3 rounds, I might be willing to take Baker earlier than I usually take a QB.

Been diving a bit more into projections/rankings lately and I know this might sound dumb from the guy (kinda) fading Zeke, but I think putting anyone other than DHop as the WR1 is just fps.

His floor and ceiling are both amazing, his track record is long and distinguished, he's smack-dab in the middle of his prime, he isn't changing systems (despite a new coordinator), he has a QB as likely as any to make a big jump, and he just doesn't miss games. Oh and he also was the leading WR in ppr last year if you count all the games (yeah week 17 stats almost never matter for fantasy, but should be included for projections sake, albeit with some caveats).

Typing this out is actually making me want to get in on some Watson, but while I do think the top 6 qb's are a clear step up from the rest, the next like 16 or so are all more than reasonable, so I just don't see the case for taking a qb in standard leagues until after other teams start picking backups. Perhaps this is the year to make superflex/2qb the new standard. Seems much more interesting that way.

Also think Tyreek is right there with the top 5 (though I would feel like a piece of **** drafting and rooting for him), and Kelce gets hurt a little bit (not much though) mostly due to ceiling reduction.

Fair enough. I don’t fault anyone for having Nuke at one. I just have him slightly behind the other guys. And I might be willing to move Odell down a little bit, I just think he’s going got ball hard. Odell might lead WRs in TD catches.

And don’t get me wrong, I’d love to have Nuke as my WR1 if the draft fell that way.

I'd have Hill over both AB and Juju. I'd probably take him over OBJ and Thomas but I think it's splitting hairs. Hill won't be WR1 again, teams will be better prepared for Mahomes and co. but I think you'll get your value out of him.

Also meant to mention Trubisky as great QB value this year. Definitely a guy I will target.

Why Trubisky? He throws it poorly; he reads defenses worse.

I got the 5th pick in my 8 man PPR league. I really hope I get one of the top 4 backs, but I feel like I'll be taking DJ. I think I like DJ over Gordon, Gurley, Chubb, Mixon, Bell, Connor, etc. I think DJ is going to rebound nicely this year with Kyler plus Kliff.

I'll then likely target best available WR in the 2nd rd and Kittle in the 3rd.

Yes in an 8 team league you can get all studs.

If the tops 4 backs go, you take your favorite WR. I'd go Nuk.

Team DJ 4 lyfe. I think he's right in the mix with those top 4 rbs, though I don't have a huge problem taking DHop over him if you're scared

I’d love to go DJ, Reek, Kittle.

I’ll feel torn if I am picking between Odell and a Reek in the second round

I really want Kelce, but I did a few mocks and I didn’t like Kelce 2nd plus WR 3rd as much as I liked WR 2nd plus Kittle 3rd.

8 team league you have to go RB r1 basically regardless imo and you desperately need a Kittle/Ertz/Kelce or you just wont be able to make up the gap

Eh, I was told the same thing last year that I should absolutely take Gronk with my second round pick. I took Adams instead. We see how that worked out. I did struggle with TE for a while, but my team was still at the top of the league.

And then I suckered one of the other guys into trading me Ertz for Diggs straight up near the trade deadline lol. And that cemented my team to carry me to the championship. I do not think a top TE is imperative, but it certainly helps. My strategy will still be to get one of those 3 guys in either round 2 or 3.

Our league also starts 3 WR plus a flex and we remove the kicker. So I’ll probably crush WR in rounds 4-6. I want guys like Diggs, Woods/Cooks, etc.

It’s much easier to find back fill ins, especially with injuries, than it is to find WR fill ins.

For instance, I started Damien Williams and Aaron Jones in the championship round. I benched DJ, who was my top pick last year.

Can we just drop the 2018 from it and rename it "Waterwolve's memorial fantasy football + Kyler Murray will be the biggest bust since Ryan Leaf thread"?

Done; I included Wolves in the post, but not the title.
