Got to take 2 and go

DJ/Tyreek/pray for Mixon/Engram or DJ/Mixon/pray for Tyreek/Engram

Just wait on QBs and grab Tarik Cohen in the 5th. Then load up on WR.....grab Goff/Garoppolo. Game over.

For as long as I’ve been following the the thread, he’s been right more often than not about specific players (though there are likely some cognitive biases at work here).

The thing about “value targets” is that they’re values for where they’re being drafted (ADP). If you take Tyreek in round 2 + Engram in round 4 + Tarik in round 5, you may still have a good team, but you didn’t really capture much value because you spent too much draft capital.

I’ve completed just over 40 mocks so far this year, all 12 teams. I’ve yet to see Tyreek go in the 2nd, almost always late 3rd. So I would suggest you have a better chance at landing the guys you want, going DJ/Mixon/Tyreek.

Also fwiw, I feel strongly you can get Engram in he 5th.

Agree

It’s not about being “right” about guys in snake drafts. It’s about taking players at max value. It’s really not much differ than poker. Anyone can win a pot with a nut flush, it’s about winning the max. If your game is to strictly draft the players you like, then you should be in auctions.

Why are Allen Robinson, Hogan, Jordy Nelson, and John Ross going so late? All seem way undervalued in current ADP's

ARob hasn't done anything in over 2 seasons, and is now on a new team. Drafters don't like his unknown projection.

I think alot of people like Hogan, but once Edelman is back, who knows.

Whether or not Jordy is done, the narrative is that he's done, so the masses aren't bothering.

I like taking Ross late, but he was hurt last yr. and the buzz is gone + no one really is excited about Dalton's passing, or anyone that isn't AJ Green.

Look it sucks guys i know but i got players i know are going to eat this year. I'm not missing out on Tyreek. Getting the #1 WR in FF in the 2nd or 3rd is a homerun. Getting possibly the #1 TE in the 4th is a homerun. So i hit it 400 feet and didn't yoke it 550 feet getting them a round later. It's still a home run. If you miss out there's no way to fix it. If you're sure he's there in the 5th go for it.

If i know Tyreek is there in the 3rd then I'll take Mixon in the 2nd. I'm fine with that.

Who are the guys you all want in front of Engram so bad?

ww -

Engram did all his damage last yr. with every imaginable pass catcher out of the lineup, and no quality pass catching RB.

The guy is very talented, no one denies that, but the opportunity for him to excel as much as you think seems a bit too optimistic.

And the guys I want in front of him are clearly the Big 3 TEs, and then a big drop before Engram.

I think there’s a pretty sharp decline after the 4th at WR. Being that I will be going RB/RB often this year with my first 2 picks, or at least 2 RBs in my first 3 picks almost guaranteed, I don’t want to wait for my 2nd WR until the 5th and have to pick from Marvin Jones/Crabtree/Watkins types. I’d rather draft a Landry/Cooks/JuJu/Tate and grab Engram in the 5th. If I miss out on EE, then so be it, but I don’t think I will too often, unless I’m in a league with you, then I’ll draft EE in the second lol!

WW -- how many redrafts do you typically play in? i actually think this year might be my first year only in dynasty leagues, not sure i have the energy for redrafts this year

A couple things. See week 4 last year. 11 targets. ODB was on the field the entire time. Engram was heavily targeted with ODB. They can and will coexist.

Also you may have your TE tiered differently than I do. For me it Gronk/Engram in tier one. Then big bag of unknowns. The Jimmy TD was nice so maybe he's close. This is a fluid situation as always as we watch the preseason. Jimmy was Godgers 2nd or 3rd read on that TD but just a perfectly placed ball. Love it.

Just one. I can't grind them like you guys. I have two dynasty leagues and one redraft.

I'm picking 6th out of 12 in one of my important leagues. PPR, redraft.

How crazy is it that I want to pick Melvin Gordon there?

I expect Gurley, Bell, Johnson, and Zeke will be gone. I have Gordon ahead of Kamara, Saquon, Fournette, Hunt, and Cook.

San Diego got a Pouncey brother at C, they get their first round Guard pick back, and he was the number 5 PPR back last year.

I just think SD's offense could be really good this year, and I don't think it's likely he'll be there for me in the 2nd.

I guess, but it’s fewer rosters I have to memorize since by now I know most of them. And I haven’t worried about draft strategy (outside of rookies). I can’t tell which is actually less stressful

He sucks but he's going to get crazy usage so it's not terrible.

Melvin Gordon is quite good AND he gets volume. Even though I have a little later (8), I approve.

We are different in the way we view some players.

I have Tyreek at WR9, #19 overall.
