Lots of signings and cuts today. So I thought I'd start a new thread.

GB signed Jimmy Graham and cut Jordy. Graham has a chance to catch DD TD's again this year. Personally I think this is big for Adams more than Graham. I expect Adams to have his best year but Jimmy is going to have a great shot at lots of TDs. GB throws more than anybody inside the 5 I think.

Watkins signed a big deal with KC. Lots of people freaking out about Tyreek.......meh it's good for Tyreek imo. He's not a target hog anyway. I expect his targets to go up slightly with more deep shots. As long as the QB play is not dreadful he's going to be a top 10 WR with #1 WR in FF upside. Watkins is just cashing in.

The Jags quietly signed the best guard in FA Andrew Norwell. Fournette is having this offense built around him. Fournette owners should be very happy. Bortles makes 20 TDs impossible for Fournette but 12-15 is in play.

Bucs resign Cameron Brate. Lol Bucs. Hurts OJH's upside. Hoping the targets flip this year between the two but i doubt it. Brate sucks at blocking and OJH is great at it. Should have used that money else where and unleashed Howard on the league. So dumb.

Love Trey Burton paired with Trubisky. He's going to get a big target share, from a good young QB, and he's a fantastic player. That's a great combination. Trey Burton has to be happy. Got paid and he's going to get the ball.

I like Allen Robinson going to the Bears too but it's def more risky. If he's healthy Trubisky is soooo much better than Bortles. I'm rooting for him.

First!

I actually agree with WW and I’m not even trolling him. One of my dynasty teams with fournette, adams, graham, and burton feels like a great FA day. The jags signing wasn’t really quiet tho, it’s the biggest contract for a G ever. Gonna drive up the prices for great guards long term too

Also Russell losing graham and Richardson has gotta hurt. Assuming they draft some play makers but that offense seems pretty meh now with just dougie

Tyler Lockett/Baldwin/Mike Davis you could do worse. Their D is crap now so Wilson will be throwing all day. They need to fix that OL and I'll be a happy man.

Carlos Hyde expected to sign in Cleveland lol

JStew expected to sign in NYG

Where's that leave Saquon?? Indy? Denver?

I don't see Barkley getting past the NYG at #2. JStew is not a workhorse anymore.

McKinnon to SF is good for McKinnon owners but he's not better than Hyde. Surprising they didn't just resign Hyde for 3/15 and go after one of the WR.

Cleveland should take Barkley unless they have one of the QB's rated as a franchise QB.

they could get barkley 1 and a QB at 4. i dont see how josh rosen or josh allen are more of a franchise player than barkely is. or trade down from 4 and take a QB later in the 1st

Take Barkley and trade out at 1.04.

Hoping seattle doesn't sign Jordy or Rawls. Then we still have to fade them drafting a young WR and RB. Mike Davis and Lockett looking good right now though.......

I think the Browns are in love with Darnold and will not want to mess around with their first overall pick. The fact that they signed Hyde tells you something about their intentions. I think the Browns take Darnold first, the Giants take Barkley, and then the Browns will either take a defensive stud, Quentin Nelson, or trade out of the fourth pick with someone like Buffalo or the Cardinals.

What fantasy round do you think the following rookie RBs go in:

Guice
Michel
Ronald Jones

I fired up my first MFL10 for 2018. After looking at early ADPs (real $, not mocks, PPR, best ball, 1QB/2RB/3WR/1TE/1FLX/1DST), here are some intial reactions:

ADP seems too high:
McCaffery 2.07
Ingram 2.08
Kenyan Drake 3.11
Combo of Derrick Henry 2.12 + Dion Lewis 5.02 (can't have both be fair valued at these prices)
Combo of Golden Tate 4.11 + Marvin Jones 5.10 (can't have both be fair valued at these prices)

ADP seems too low:
Evans 2.10
Gronk 3.05
Alshon 4.09
Jordy 4.10
Manny Sanders 8.09
Beast mode 9.10
Desean Jackson 11.08

After the first ~12 rounds ADP is a lot more volatile (there have only been 15 drafts in the past week), and obviously lots of players are still moving around (+the draft), but I wanted to fire one off just to scratch that early fantasy itch.

Kamara adp seems way too high? iirc he going around 6-8 pick on standard 12 men leagues. Hunts seem a bit high as well.

Quote:
Coach Matt Nagy confirmed new TE Trey Burton will play the Travis Kelce role in the Bears' offense.
It's a receiver-tight end hybrid spot called the "U" in Nagy's offense. "It’s an important role," Nagy said. "It’s easy to create some plays for. And when you have a guy that has the size that Trey has and the speed that he has, it’s about mismatches." Burton (6'2/224) isn't nearly as big as Kelce (6'5/255), but they ran nearly identical forties coming out of college at 4.62 and 4.61, respectively. Burton might be the better athlete. Burton has big breakout potential.

Super high on Burton this year. He should pay off nicely at his ADP.

I like Burton too, but he seems like he might be a guy who's ADP creeps up higher and higher as the season approaches as all the experts will be in on him and touting him I think. Kind of a Coby Fleener effect from when he first signed with NO (not that I think he will bust like Fleener, just that his ADP might not be as attractive as draft season gets into full force).

Also, WW I've seen you a few times talk about Trubisky being good/having a lot of potential, while I have never heard anyone else anywhere imply anything of the sort about him even when he was drafted (was seen as a huge reach and lol Bears to trade up one spot for him at the time iirc).

What did you see last season that everyone else missed? I can't say I watched much of the Bears last year so I am totally open to any info. I know he had a couple decent games and pure **** for weapons, which have obv improved and I think some new coaches...but there's gotta be some stuff you saw. Were you high on him predraft too?

I'm not sure I've seen a better pocket passer in the last 3-4 years. Great feet. Good arm. Elite touch. He mades throwsevery game that made me say wow. Aaron Rodgers level touch. The future is Goff, Trubisky,
Garoppolo, Dak, Rodgers, Wilson........there's more too but the position seems to be getting crowded. Making it less valuable.

The fact that the media isn't talking about Trubisky doesn't mean anything. They are all just one big echo chamber or there would be a bigger diversity of opinions on players. Last year i saw a rookie QB with no help making wow plays every game.

Totally agree with bolded, that’s why I was interested in your take, thanks for the reply. I def think he should be able to break his record of 1 td in a game at least Doubt he’s drafted in single qb leagues this year so if your take is correct it could pay off big. Though like you said, it’s not like it’s hard to find a good qb so maybe meh...maybe upgrading ARob is the main play. I’ll keep an closer eye on him in preseason and look at some tape from last season.

On to other WW boyz...how high am I going to have to pick Burkhead this year? I’m all in on that train for sure.

Trubisky is going to surprise some people. Allen Robinson is a solid #1 WR. Burton is a super underrated TE. Cohen hopefully gets a heavier workload. Def an offense that's going to improved this year.

A-Rob recovery being the big question mark for me.

Had an idea. Let me know what you think.

Best ball dynasty. Draft 25-30 players. Highest score after 3 years wins. Fire away.

oh yeah i guess im on the trubisky train, but like you said, QB is such a deep position that its hard to get excited for him. i think he's a great late round flier in most re-drafts though.

i dont see any other huge difference makers that moved in FA though. graham in GB should do fine, but his ADP will probably stay around the same. maybe you can get him a round or so later, but the hype will drive him up.

hurns in DAL is interesting.
pretty much everything in IND seems like a dumpster fire.
same for CLE, although i suppose theres a scenario where tyrod loses the starting job by week 2 and darnold is actually great and that just makes landry decent again?
most guys on SF will be undervalued too, although that media hype might drive them up.

im really curious how the draft goes. this rookie class is super impressive.
