If you did that today, you're easily drafting him 2 rounds ahead of the most outlandish ADP estimate, and it's a statistical fact that you're drafting him 4 rounds ahead of his average ADP.

Surely that's a leak homie.

Yeah ill just go by my rankings and get my guys. If Engram has a bad preseaon maybe you could get away with taking him in the 3rd but he's currently in my top 24 rankings for ppr redraft.

Lol camp reports and all, but Engram has supposedly been killing it so far. 2nd is obv silly because it’s completely unnecessary, but my bigger issue here is if you truly believe that’s his value, how high should we be on Eli? With OBJ and Saquon (based a decent amount on his projected receiving production) as consensus top 10 guys (and Shepard being a mid-round guy), Eli has to be undervalued if Engram is that valuable as well, right?

That’s tough for me to accept after watching him in recent years, so one (or more) of those guys seem destined to disappoint relative to draft position. The tough question is which one(s)? Or is Eli really a top 10 qb?

Not necessarily. Eli could throw for 24 TDs 15 INT and 3800 and Engram and ODB could both go off. It's happened before with Eli. I'll see if I can find it later.

Eli has to be the biggest downside to Engram right now. I’ve just never been a fan of him. I like Engram but think he’s going just too early. He was the only target at the end of last year. His PPG can only go down imo.

I mainly do auctions so not sure of ADPs yet but from what I’ve seen Reed, Burton, Olsen, are all much better values. Ertz is also clear tier 1 in ppr imo. Most realistic TE to have a shot at catching 100. Godert isn’t really a threat this year.

Don't miss out on Engram guys. He was heavily targeted when ODB was healthy too. I'll just leave it at that.

Yeah I looked. I'd take him over a lot of guys that are going in the 2nd and 3rd though. I expect his ADP to rise but he's currently 64th off the board. He might break into the late 3rd. So don't pass him up in the 3rd then.

What I've learned at #GiantsCamp thread: 1. Evan Engram has been the best offensive player on the field. He was also the best in spring practices. He is also being used on different route depths + all over the formation. He was lined up on one play as the Z with 3 WRs trips left.”

I think there is a certain WR that plays for the Giants.......just saying......

TB should have never signed Brate and used OJ Howard like the Giants are using Engram.

Looking at the ADP real quickly i see 4 players that are super underrated that I already own that I can talk about.

In order.

Tyreek Hill (ADP 29)

Hill is a top 10 value being picked in the 3rd. He only trails A. Brown in my rankings. Mahomes is a lot better fit with the second best deep threat the league has ever seen ( and last time I check when Mahomes throws a pick it's going to be good for Tyreeks prospects in that game).

Gronk (ADP 21)

He's just outside my top 12. Who else are they going to throw too. If he stays healthy (Big if)this might be one of his biggest seasons. He wins leagues when he goes crazy.

Fournette (ADP 14)

Jac quietly signed Andrew Norwell to improve their already good OL. They are building this offense around Fournette. He dropoed 15 pounds in the offseason and the coaching staff is talking about getting him more involved in the passing game. It's all Fournette all the time in Jac. If they had a better QB/offense I'd say he is a top 3 value but i dont see a 20 TD ceiling with suck ass Bortles. Still 1500 yards total and 12+ is totally there. 50+ catches too.

Brandin Cooks (ADP 47)

Goff is a stud and Mcvay is the best OC in the league. Cooks is 24 coming off three 1000 yard seasons in a row. He's a WR1 getting drafted as a low end WR2. Give me that all day.

Yep.......but Engram was amazing last year. I'm more sure about him than any crazy call I'm going to make this preseason.

And I got more coming........lolol

No obvious bias in the user name here

I am pretty high on Cook, would pick him in the 12/13 spot, though I think the 11 and 12 seem like potentially the worst spots to be this year.

+1 on Founette and Gronk being a bit underrated.

Not sold on those WR values being too far off though. Smith was actually really good on deep balls last year, even if Mahomes lives up to the hype it will be difficult for him to improve on that aspect of the offense too much from last year. Also Watkins being around should soak up some targets and Hill already wasn’t really a target machine (though he does tend to make the most of a lot of them).

Agree on McVay’s genius (though not quite as high on Goff as you are), but that should lead to the ball being spread around a bunch similar to last year, and Goff doesn’t seem to want push the ball deep downfield much which would be Cooks wheelhouse. Goff could certainly grow in that regard though and Cooks is pretty well rounded so perhaps he could go off.

Tyreek made Smith. Smith didn't make Tyreek.

Tyreek is 24 years old guys.

Thanks for the response though Wheatsuace. I love the respectful debate.

Not targeting Hill this year - wouldn't be shocked to see his numbers drop or stay the same. Not paying a premium for him.
Couldn't care less about Gronk - will find a TE later in the draft
Love Fournette - he could be a difference maker late in the first/early second
Cooks seems to be going about where he should. Not sure you are getting value at 47

Hill: I agree. Third round def seems late for him. It all comes down to Mahomes though. I know the reports aren’t great so far but I love Reid’s coaching record with QBs. Hills prolly a snap mid 3.

Gronk: If he’s sitting there mid second it’s prolly a snap. Owned him the last 2 times he was healthy most of the year and it won me 2 championships. I def got lucky in that regard though. Idk if I can call him underrated since I don’t know I’d take him early second with his injury history.

Fournette: I’m def on the hype train. I think he’s a top 5 RB in standard and top 10 in PPR. As stated Norwell signing huge. Just watching him pre injury last year he made it look like he was playing with high schoolers at times.

Cooks: Tough. def has sleeper potential. I haven’t looked who else is being taken about there so it’s prolly fine but don’t know about higher. Cooks is very talented but so is Watkins. I thought he was great on underneath routes in NO but when you’re working with Payton and Brees maybe they just make anyone look good. NE also has great offensive minds and only thought of him as a deep threat. McVay obv up there too but is he really better than Watkins who they mainly had doing just deep routes? I think it’s more a limitation of Goff that may hold him back than anything. Not sure the arm strength is there.

Watkins: since I mentioned him, I’d love to see K.C. use him more in the slot in addition to the deep routes. He has those skills. If Mahomes can break out the combo of him, Hill and Kelce can be dangerous like someone mentioned a bit ago. One of these guys gets matched up on a #3 cover guy. Offense could be a monster if Reid handles it right. Could lead to them taking turns on monster games though so variance may be high

Is Cooks locker room cancer or what? Seems obv talented but for someone so good he sure gets traded a lot.

A lot of people fear Watkins but I've never believed in his talent.

Targets going up for Tyreek not down. 24 years old with two good seasons under his belt.

83 targets 61 catches 593 yards 9.7 ypc
105 targets 75 catches 1183 yards 15.8 ypc

That ^^^^^ with a QB that didn't fit well with Tyreeks skill set.

KC is probably going to be down a lot this year with all the INTs coming and Mahomes is going to be going "**** it I'm going deep" a lot.

I’m a big Watkins fan as a player. I think he’s the real deal. So far in his career he spent 2 of which he was hurt and always catching balls from tyrod. Last year he was used almost exclusively on deep routes which isn’t goffs strength. He can play underneath too though. When they did that with him they were successful. Not sure why the rams Didn’t do it more last year.

That said, even if you don’t like him Albert Wilson was the number 2 last year. I think Hills rec most likely goes down but him YPC goes up. They can’t just bracket him this year since Watkins can run those routes too. Plus Mahomes should at least in theory send more of those deep balls than smith. Remember the philly days when Reid had Djax and Maclin going deep. That’s what I picture with Kelce being a threat To take balls away as well

That said third round he’s too +EV to not take. Def top 10 potential. Still risk but I mean is there a top 10 potential that’s super safe there?
