How much a difference does it make in a dynasty? The couple extra years of Xander make it closer? Just have an option for one and can’t pick. I thought it was upton easily too but a lot of rankings have Xander ahead

That definitely moves the needle closer. If I have a team ready to win/compete in the next 1-3 years I probably stick with Upton pretty easily. Bogaerts is a nice player but I'll take the 30/90/90 with 10-12 SB and a batting average that won't kill me over the unknown in Bogaerts (who I think was playing hurt last year and I do like for 2018).

Even if my team stunk and I wanted to go younger, seems like one could opt for Upton and flip him for something better than Bogaerts but that gets a bit league dependent. Some dynasties treat anyone over 27 as total trash.

Nimmo hitting leadoff, nice obp skills, i like him for a flyer if you got an open spot sitting around on no one special or you stashed some guys on DL.

for sure, but Conforto could be back in about a week and taking that spot, seems like better stashes

absolutely, but given yoenis and conforto's injury history, im guessing theres gonna be plenty of ABs for nimmo as a 4th OF and inevitable injury fillin lol

Yeah, he'll definitely have opportunities throughout the season. Just think there's other young guys I'd rather take the stash/hold on and see, and once those happen later, then grab Nimmo potentially

I don’t think picking up Matt Davidson is an “overreaction”. I’m not saying he’s a must add either, but in deeper leagues he is worth a flyer if you have open spots due to DL etc. He’s a former #3 overall pick who just turned 27, sometimes those guys are worth a gamble to pick up and see what happens. Worst case you drop him weeks later. But if your not making speculative adds like that, your prob doing it wrong.

keep an eye on this jordan hicks guy on the cards, guy throws 100+, could find his way into some serious holds by the end of the year along with great peripheral potential. A possible devenski type in the making.
