I prefer both of them to Palmer. He looks old and bad. Losing DJ actually hurts him. His running ability takes pressure off of the passing game and with that gone Palmers weaknesses more apparent and DJ was arguably his best receiver. No DJ hurts not helps Palmer.

NFL.com suggested 35 FAAB(Cohen), I am not familiar with those settings so I won't chime in.
ya, Palmer will be in the second half of the field this year, I think. maybe even in about the 66% or behind tier. losing DJ def hurts Palmer

Am I thinking the wrong way in bidding high and decreasing my bid volume? Or is this too much?
Bidding $44 week1 is basically saying a 5'6" scat back on a crappy team is your must have missing player to win it all. Did you win or lose week 1? With Martin coming to your team in 4 weeks I probably don't go that high. Cohen really needed Benny Cunningham out of the way for this to even happen

Minny focused their passing downfield so Bradford definitely interesting.

Andy Reid and Smith are both career game managers, no way am I getting excited about 1 big passing day from Alex Smith

What defense should I try to stream this week? Had Rams on every team week one and that worked out pretty well These three I like are on the wire. My order of preference. Is it right?

1 Arizona at Indy
2. Oakland vs Jets
3. Balt vs. Cleveland

All look like good plays but does one stand out above the others?

baltimore at home vs cleveland is what im getting on, then oakland second. Bmore focued on defense in the draft i was reading, hard to go against them at home vs Browns after shutting out Cincy week one in cincy

as for palmer/smith/bradford. It is my belief that KC offense and Minnesota are trending upward and AZ opposite, they all may be around the same tier QB fantasy wise but I would want Palmer the least of them all.

as someone who has a lot of stock in Palmer as a QB2 this season and had him and Bradford as my cheap QBs to target, I'm still hopeful. Yeah he looked bad, but it was one week, not gonna drop him from that performance. Plus his week 1 fantasy performance was better than Brady, Wilson, Dalton, Manning, and Flacco. No reason to cry about it yet. If he doesn't play well against the horrible colts D then I will raise my eyebrow a bit more

lions have the worst pass defense ever though, not? they have been remarkably bad as of late. Anway, im lower on him than in the past mostly because of age, same can be said about Fitz(respect to this dude tho), and then now DJ is done for the year. think I simply rank Smith and Bradford both inside of him ROS, both are smart, scramble well, moreso Smith, and I like the weapons/team around the former two better

New season bro. Historically yes, but if you put any stock in PFF numbers they had 4 DBs rated 82 or higher in that game. That's an all-pro level grade for 3 safties and a corner. I think the Lions only had 1 sack but Palmer showed the mobility of a statue in that game. Doubtful he improves much with Arizona best offensive threat on the shelf.

lineup in 10 team PPR: 18 roster spots / starting lineup is: qb,rb,rb,wr,wr,te, flex, flex,D,K
So basically normal, just an extra flex spot and two extra roster spots. Record 1-0

QB - Winston
RB - M Gordon, Ty Montgomery, J Rodgers, T Coleman, Duke Johnson, CJ Prosise, Perkins
WR - AJ Green, D Hopkins, K Allen, G Tate, R Matthews, Moncrief
TE - Graham

2nd waiver position and inexplicably doug martin was dropped and Amendola was never drafted, also cohen is there. Is it a no brainer to put the request in for dougie fresh and stash him? Or should I use it on Amendola who looked like the for sure edelman replacement before getting hurt. Also Cohen and Golladay are available. Marqise Lee and Kerwynn Williams obviously there as well.

yeah, your RB2 is pretty bad - terrible when Martin gets back. If PPR, I'd say yes, but I guess you could wait a couple weeks.

You need Cohen, plain and simple. Sometimes in FF we have to make the moves for "need" right now as opposed to waiting to make the move that we "want".

PPR or not, Cohen is going to have a substantial role in that offense, as he's probably their best playmake. As a Jordan Howard truther it pains me to say that, but it's the truth. Plus Cohen is the hot name this week, so you could always try to package him for an upgrade once you have him.; Maybe Cohen + Gill/Thielen can land you a more trustworthy RB2.

Also, stay ahead of the game picking up handcuff RBs , and use a couple bench spots on them. He's a 30+ yo FB technically speaking, but I really like picking up Mike Tolbert right now. The Bills offense runs through McCoy who tends to get banged up, and given the lack of depth at the Bills RB position this is a situation where Tolbert could serve as a workhorse RB for a stretch if McCoy were to miss time . The ARI backfield is a muddled mess, but BUF's backfield is a situation where the handcuff could be a weekly starter if McCoy were to go down. I also would be keeping an eye on Perine if he's dropped or not rostered. Rob Kelley just isn't good, and a couple more clunkers could see WAS turning the reins over to Perine sooner than later.

Rawls is an absolute animal, but that's part of the problem. He runs so hard that he gets himself hurt , and he's been dealing with this ankle since last year. If healthy he's clearly the best RB on their roster, but he's seldom healthy. Plus keep in mind that SEA's o-line is terrible. On top of that, don't expect the early down back in SEA to get much usage in the passing game. It's Rawls for me if healthy, but Carson is still a decent hold. ......If you own Eddie Lacy, feel free to drop him and free up a roster spot. The guy's done, and worthless from a fantasy perspective .

As long as your league mates aren't QB hoarding and you can find a bye week or streamer QB on the WW, then I'd drop Dalton. I like Kupp then Golladay if you need a WR. If you want to take a shot on an RB, I'd go Carson. Rawls is due back this week, but if he suffers a setback or gets hurt again I think Carson serves as the lead back over Fat Eddie. I'm intrigued by Mack but don't let the WK1 stat line fool you; the only reason he got as many touches as he did is because IND was getting blown out and they sat Gore.

cohen bids in 12 team .5PPR 2rb/2wr/1flex ($150 budget) - 34, 20, 17, 13, 7, 6

my team now looks like:
tyrod
le'veon, james white, cohen, vereen, burkhead, jamaal williams, ware
antonio, ODB, jordy, maclin, golladay, beasley
eifert

I am going to need to drop someone for a K, but some idiot dropped jarvis landry so I have to take a shot at him. It is a keeper league & I can keep ware for league min. ($10 of $300 draft budget), but at this point I think I need to forget about the future and play for this yr - I am keeping jordy super cheap already but my other top 4 aren't keepable.

Bid $40 on Landry despite him only being a bye-week/in case of injury player for me?
