My general approach to pitching with a 1250 IP limit is to find three starters to deliver 600 IP, get another 300 innings from four strong relievers (closers or otherwise), then patch the rest with spot starts and transaction wire pickups. Needing one more starter to fulfill that plan, I'm going with Danny Salazar. He was in the midseason Cy Young discussions before injury tore his late season apart, but he looks healthier now (he's struck out 14 in 10.2 spring training innings...still working out some kinks with his control, but it looks promising) with an offence behind him that should net plenty of victories.

Eduardo Nunez (SS)
- More steals and AVG to help round on my team. Think he will be an everyday player for SF. Giants wouldn't have gone and get him if they didn't want him to run. Became a Giant right before August 1st last year and stole 8 bases on 9 attempts in 21 games played - a 60SB/season pace. I don't think he gets close to 60 but I don't think he gets under 30 either. Most projections have him in the low 20s (Steamer has him at 23). Only problem is he won't give very good counting stats unless he hits his way up the Giants lineup, which may be tough. Had a small power outbreak last season which I think is sustainable - he kets his HR/FB% essentially the same but raised his FB percentage and hard contact up 3% pts. He went 16/40 in 140 games last season so maybe he actually does have 20/40 upside.

Dustin Pedroia (UTIL)
- Nothing really flashy but I don't need flashy here. My team dug a pretty big hole early on in the AVG/SB department early due to low-avg sluggers like Schwarber, Trumbo, and Frazier. This pick rounds out my scheme to fix that. A career 0.300 hitter that hit 0.310 last season. He will hit leadoff in front of Mookie Betts. Last year that resulted in him scoring 105 runs, tied for 14th in the MLB. He should be good for about 10-15HR, 5-10SB, a 0.300AVG, and 90-100R. Most projection systems have him at around 80 runs (Steamer has him at 82 in 620PA). I think he gets to 90 fairly easily hitting in front of Mookie.

as for SRM's other pick, I'm a buffoon. I got a message from 2p2 saying I needed to delete mail and as I always have, I just mass deleted, completely forgetting that I had SRMs picks in there. I know he wanted another starter, but don;'t remember which one, Sorry guys. it might have been Michael Pineda, so that's going to be the pick and SRM can repick when he's back if he wants.

14.8 Keon Broxton

Going for the speed upside here. He made an adjustment when he was sent down last year and his 2nd half numbers were much better. He does need to cut down on the strike outs and could lose playing time to Brinson/Nieuwenhuis, but I think the risk is worth it here.

How many players have a shot at 40sb and 15hr? Not many, and they are all being drafted in the first two rounds. Granted he will not provide batting average like those guys, but in my opinion the counting stats more than make up for that.
