Thanks guys. I picked up yeldon off waivers this morning for $1. I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss something. Always nice to have this thread as a second set of eyes.

As commish I tried pushing the trade through, as I always do when I see an accepted trade, but it said a player was locked. I assume this is because he is dropping MIA Def as part of the 2 for 1 trade. Does this mean I won't be able to push it though until Tuesday morning?

Don't think you can push that through. I think it would be reasonable (if both parties agree) to veto the trade, let Miami guy drop the defense on his own, and then redo the trade. this would work on Yahoo I believe

its always been completely standard for me to be able to drop bench players even after their team has played. if this is a rule in the league then you shouldnt just manually circumvent it for the trade

of course I see no way someone would keep miami as a second defense so he had to have started them in which case the trade obviously cannot go through until after this week

Because you can wait and see how someone does and pick them up or drop them. . I think it’s a great rule. If you want to drop someone do it before they play

I think it's a matter of preferences. The yahoo system incentivizes owners with a weak/free bench spot to

pick up a flier for tnf
drop him if he doesn't increase in value and pick up a flier for London game
drop him if he doesn't increase in value and pick up a 1pm guy...
... and so on...

I see why some people would find that a ridiculous or annoying way to get an edge...

MIA is on his bench and he's playing CIN this week. This is in a 12 team 18 man roster dynasty league that he is 2-5 in. He thought it was a good idea to offer Corey Coleman (solid dynasty value) for latavius and yeldon (neither of which are likely to start next year).

im in a kinda weird league where we have no waivers, no faab, and no lock at all (including starters on game time). the kicker is you have max 15 adds for the season.

not sure if good or bad honestly.

If you can't sit around and watch football all day Sun and immediately grab handcuffs as injuries happen you're at a major disadvantage and this was before smart phones so you had to be near a computer.
At the time I could spend all day watching football and I never finished out of the money.

Is everyone still holding Devante Parker? Miami's QB situation is horrendous and their entire offense is a train wreck. I'm not sure Parker lives up to the hype this year.
Im seriously thinking about dropping him for a flier like Corey Davis or Doctson. Is that crazy?
(he's only my WR5 though as I have Evans, Thomas, Benji, Shepard ahead of him)

+1. Any rule that discourages action/activity is not good. You want owners to be involved. It's especially bad in the context of family/friends leagues, where, at the end of the day, FF is just another excuse to sh*t-talk and gloat and all that good stuff.

Man that Jets game weather looks awful. They get 10-12 mm of rain before the game, and 20-25mm during? I know rain isn't that bad for football, but that's a TON of rain.

27 mph wind gusts too.
