We can keep as many players as we want

I'm probably not going to play for this year-I'm guessing that nobody else will alter their strategy much from a typical draft, so what I'm thinking is to just not draft any defensive players or kicker. I'm figuring that with only 1 starting defensive spot for each position, that in the future I'll just stream each of those spots. Even if every other player took 2 of each position, that's only 22 and there's going to be loads on the waiver wire. I can use those spots to add 3 rookie RBs/WR/QB

Also figuring just load up on young WRs, but that seems like a typical dynasty draft strategy.
Draft to win now. It's nice having a lot of young prospects but things change so much from year to year.

Also for people that have IR spots. Consider stashing Mike Williams.
By the time he comes back Allen should be hurt and he could be useful.

When do they put Edelman and Meredith on IR? After they get down to 53?

I'm a fan because I took a flier on him. Have nothing else to support it.

Can anyone explain the somewhat low ADP's on:

Devante Parker
Pierre Garcon
Jeremy Maclin
Big Rape
Adam Thielen
Kevin White
Torrey Smith

Some of those guys gotta be many rounds better than where they're going?

Devante Parker - Nice buzz, but he hasn't shown it yet
Pierre Garcon - Good player, not flashy, crummy team
Jeremy Maclin - Lot of speculation that he isn't good anymore after release from a quality team/coach
Big Rape - Not flashy, not elite. Although he should climb with Bryant back
Adam Thielen - not flashy, not a name that excites anyone, unproven with one good season out of nowhere
Kevin White - Hasn't done anything, crap team, rookie qb
Torrey Smith - Its Alshon and Ertz first, and possibly Algholor before anyone gets excited about Torrey.

Devante Parker- You hope Cutler locks into him like he has with other players but when I watch Parker play I just don't see him fight for the ball much. He should do ok but I don't see special when I he plays
Pierre Garcon - #1 WR on a bad team. He's always been underrated. Good player in a good situation.
Jeremy Maclin - Another #1 WR on a little better team but i'm avoiding Baltimore players this year. Don't trust Flacco. He's been meh for a while.....
Big Rape - Yeah he has weapons everywhere. Should have a top 8ish season with 40 TD ceiling.
Adam Thielen - I started to take notice of Thielen last year. He worked his way into being the 1B WR on Minny and now it appears to me like he has surpassed Diggs completely. From week 11 on last year Thielen had 16 more targets than Diggs. Great target in Dynasty. Hopefully the coaching staff gets fired, they are one of the worst in football, and they get a better staff in there. Thielen looks like he has top 10 WR in FF potential. I'm buying everywhere.
Kevin White - Plays to timid and weak. Meredith was going to have a good year this year it's a shame but now the guy that can't handle being the #2 is the #1. He sucks.
Torrey Smith - He's almost never mattered for FF why would he now?

Some of those guys gotta be many rounds better than where they're going?
I'd add

Jamaal Charles - Could be Denvers #1 by week two. Reminds me of when Ladainian Tomlinson went to the Jets. He was so much better than anything they had and was starting by week 2.
Vance McDonald - Stud. 270 pounds of all muscle. Just a freight train. Not the best hands but watch how Big Ben makes him better.
Ted Ginn Jr- #2 on the premier passing offense in the NFL. He might be the best WR on that team. Thomas needs to prove he can beat defenses when they are focused on him.
ASJ- If he really has put the bottle down for good he is easily the best offensive weapon on that terrible team. Not sure he'll have that many TD's because omg the jets just aren't going to score much but he could see lots of targets so he's worth a stash if you have room.

Forgot about Burkhead.......Could have double digit TD's and 50+ catches that would put him in the RB2 range....not bad for a late pick......

Devante Parker- don't know. the way cutler likes to force the ball to one guy he could be very good.
Pierre Garcon-people underestimate how many balls he might catch now that hes back with shanahan
Jeremy Maclin-always been overrated. hes just falling back to earth
Big Rape-the whole home vs away thing is scaring people off i think.
Adam Thielen- could be a great ppr piece. or teams may adjust to him with another year of film out there but i like him.
Kevin White-not a fan. kendell wright is the bears WR to own now
Torrey Smith-always been overrated

edit:
charles: maybe.
vance: wont start.
ginn: is def not the best WR on that team but is still very underrated
ASJ: could be good but the Jets just don't throw to their tes
burkhead: like him as a lotto ticket

Does anybody know where you can get projected 2017 stats + projected auction values in CSV format?

I have my first draft of the year tomorrow and it's my first ever 14er. I did a mock draft for it and didn't love it (posted it in the rate thread). Does anyone have any advice for this format?

14 teams
Snake

1 QB, 2 RB, 2WR, 1 TE, 1 RB/WR/TE, K, D, 6 bench

PPR

6 point pass TD

I've been thinking that QBs are reather important at 6 pt pass and 14 being used. Having Brady, Rodgers, or Brees rather than Andy Dalton or Stafford is a big jump. Also been thinking WRs can be waited on with only being forced to use 2 of them. Seem about right?

Just need confirmation on this strategy?

14 team, PPR. Qb, 2 WR, 2 RB, TE, Flex.

I have the 3rd pick. I have to go Brown here right? RBs are really thin this year and WRs are deep so would it be crazy to take a RB 3rd or is Brown just too good?

Thanks guys.

You gotta take points. What RB left do you think has a chance to score as many points as Brown or Julio? What WR at pick 25 is likely to score as many points as Brown/Julio?

Ya I hear you. I guess I was thinking between the below:

Brown, Lynch, Mixon vs Gordon, Dez, Mixon

Who are your guys high upside WR3's for the year.
I have my only auction draft tomorrow and every year I puss out and never spend big for a stud and just end up with an ok team. This year I'm going to spend big on some premiums so would appreciate some names.

PPR qb rb rb wr wr wr flex te

Thanks in advance

Zeke Elliot - Prob right before Fournette. Upside too big considering potential reduction/play-through of appeal.
Hunt - I think the hype has gone too far, no idea, he's prob gone before I get him.
McCaffrey - In my rankings, he's after Montgomery.
Keenan Allen - Towards the end of the WR1s
Tyreke Hill - I have him as a high end WR2

Gronk and Mixon - not sure what to think, I haven't been taking either in mocks.

Ive always felt like holding your own RB handcuff is kind of lol. Not going to say outright pussy move (but close!), but hedging is not the way to win leagues imo.

At the very best, you only get a worse version or the guy you just lost. Its always made way more sense to me to hold the high talent handcuffs to other owners backs, so that you maximize upside. Dont you want the chance to own mulitple RB1's with each roster spot being alloted to a RB, rather than cap out at just 1 RB1 for 2 roster spots?

Obviously this changes a lot if rosters are super deepz but in standard sized leagues with 5-6 bench spots thats always made the most sense to me
