Don't worry, he's injured already. Shocker.

So finally a week where we may get a guy worth buying with the #1 waiver. Sucks it's a packers back.

As a lurker, losing Waterwolves worsen the thread imo.
Thanks.

What happened to WW?

He left after getting a lot of hate, but maybe the Freeman concussion will get him back for some Tevin hype

I don't think he got a lot of hate at all. He got mad with me over the Amendola stuff which was weird, because Amendola being a broken shell of a man isn't even remotely controversial in FF. Not sure why that was the straw that broke the camel's back. But he still sends me trade offers. I miss him

Have any of you correctly started Demarco this year? I literally cannot catch a start where he's good, and always start him when he sucks, lol.

Grabbed Burkhead on a few teams. Mike gillislee as a healthy scratch is interesting.

Need 29.46 from Brady + Funchess in PPR. 4 pt passing td's and we lose a pt when a QB is sacked. Looks like a flip.

Why do I have 3 Dallas RBs on my team. Seems like suicide now.

Well grabbing those Burkheads might work out pretty well if Hogan is out a while. Kind of has a good spot in the offence when Edelman, Hogan and Gllleslie are out of the picture. Starts to trim some of that excess fat he had to play through.

In a dynasty league...I've brought up a couple times to the rest of the league that there needs to be some type of anti tanking measure (including today) and have been brushed off. League is for nothing more than bragging rights, but important bragging rights.

I have ~0% title equity this year (Dalvin Cook, Allen Robinson, and a bunch of young RB) but a ton of title equity the next 5 years (other than Cousins, I have noone over like 26).

What's the line on what I can do to tank? I'm 4-6 but should fairly easily lose out other than maybe two weeks from now when I'm facing the one other team that can also probably get the #1 pick. I don't want to blow up the league but starting 0 people has crossed my mind

I'm having the same issue in my league. I don't know if it's straight up tanking or people that are out of it just not gaf. The commish came down on people this week and had to manipulate lineups that made sense. Also his logic that makes sense to me is that your record and points for only comes into play for playoff qualification. Draft order for the teams that don't make the playoffs is decided by potential points scored. So the software goes back and your total points for the season are based on if you set a perfect lineup every week. So tanking doesn't do anything to help your draft slot, only makes you less competitive for other teams in the playoff hunt.

Don't automatically give the worst record the #1 pick. You can use a weighted lottery for all non playoff teams, (similar to the NBA draft lottery), but where the highest non-playoff team gets the best shot at the #1 pick.
Its hard to regulate lineups, but its pretty easy to take away any incentive for tanking.

In any league that does reward the worst record with the #1 pick, leaving any empty spots in a starting lineup should absolutely not be allowed for any team that has been eliminated from the playoffs imo.

5 south's suggestion seems like it might work well, but what's stopping owners from pulling roster shenanigans? If its based on points scored by each teams optimal lineup, owners can just drop all players they dont plan to keep to create holes at whatever position(s), so even their "perfect" lineup could have one or more 0's

I agree with what you guys are saying and its why I've been pushing for something similar to what 5 south said, but no one else seems to want that.

I guess what I'm asking is do I have any type of responsibility in this spot to roster a reasonable starting lineup when noone seems to be caring about tanking?

Ya, I've been the 6th playoff team the last 2 years and am sick of the 1.07/08 draft slot. Again this year I could have probably made a trade or 2 to get in the playoffs but with OBJ out and Evans just being off this year I don't have the firepower to even make a miracle run if I made the playoffs.
It's definitely crossed my mind to drop people like Andre Ellington just to reduce my total points but I haven't. There's no perfect system, you just have to hope to be in a league where people take the 10min to set a lineup and have done sportsmanship.
Easier said than done...

Bit better than a flip? 60-65%?

0.5 ppr 4pt passing TDs

We have a league bonus for highest single week score.

Fading

31.32 from Landry and Cam Newton
16.04 from Funchess

What are my chances of fading both teams that could top my score?

Huge thanks for convincing me to take DET over NYJ. Saved myself from being in a bad spot.

Tied for 11th now with an easy JAX pick. Literally everyone in front of me has picked JAX already so barring a disaster against the Browns, I should be gaining ground. No real easy high value picks for those other people to go with either, so this will get real interesting after next week.

In the dynasty league that I play in we have 2 anti-tanking measures - first, the 6 teams who don't make the playoffs' draft positions are awarded based on total points during the 3 weeks of fantasy playoffs. So the team that traded away all his guys usually ends up in that 1.06 draft spot. Second, the worst team by record has to pay 50% of the best team's entry fee the next year (even if he leaves the league). These also have the benefit of making sure everyone is locked in throughout the season. We haven't had an issue of people not setting lineups (and the waiver wire is active all year long as well).

In the leagues I play in/run we do some prize for the highest score each week regardless if you're eliminated (typically 20-25% of the buyin). We also do lottery in my dynasty with the first team out of the playoffs and the team that wins the toliet bowl each getting a bonus pull (with your number of pulls otherwise based on record). Another league I played it made the worst team bring a case of beer to the next years draft. Have rarely had issues

A bit better than 50% for both imo. Unless you're rocking 170+ points (assuming 12 teams and typical 2RB/2WR/1FLX), I'd worry more about fading the top scores in weeks 12-16 when there are no more byes.

Just have draft order for non playoff teams decided by potential points. If people are benching their good players or not starting anyone at all you shouldn't be in a league with them.
