Kind of kicking myself for not taking LAC and taking JAX with that QB situation. Oh well. One of only 4 people without a strike right now, so got a good shot at this. Entry $20, first prize about $3k.

Matchups this week that look possible:

MIN (18) @ DET - coin toss game

LAC (25) @ DAL - not thrilled about taking LAC here despite DAL getting blown out

KC (8) vs BUF - Figure KC has a good chance of bouncing back, especially if BUF is stupid enough to start the INT-machine again

CAR (17) @ NYJ - CAR looks like the best pick to me. Current leader can't pick CAR, and the 7 people immediately behind me can't either.

IND (15) vs TEN - ehhhh I can't really see picking the Colts vs anyone

OAK (7) vs DEN - probably a safe low-value pick, same as KC

and really that's it. It's an ugly slate of options this week for sure.

Teams I could see the current leader taking: KC, OAK. Outside shot they take NYJ.

3 people directly in front of me, add CAR to that. Guessing that's the way they go - would prefer if they go with a safer low-value pick and I can jump them if I pick CAR and hit.

My week 13 pick is going to be LAC (25) vs CLE. Anyone who already picked LAC is going to take CHI (29) vs SF -- would be great if the 49ers pulled a miracle here. Saving CHI for later.

Other likely picks going forward for me:

Week 14: ??? CLE (32) @ home vs Rodgersless GB? maybe NYJ (30) @ DEN. Ugly week here too.

Week 15: MIN (18) vs CIN. Could go CAR (17) vs GB here if I save them this week. Basically pick either MIN or CAR week 12, then the other one this week. MIA (20) @ BUF also a possibility.

Week 16: CHI (29) vs CLE

Week 17: depends on board, who is sitting starters, if I need to stay in front or take risks.

There's payouts for 2nd/3rd/4th, and a longest streak payout. $25 was the entry, not $20 like I said earlier. Pool used to be winner take all but changed in the past couple years.

The bane of playing in multiple leagues is of course playing against a stud when you have him on your other squad. This week that was Antonio Brown for me. I have him in a total points season long league. Playing against him in a matchup league. A great start to the week with 25 in one, down by 27 in the matchup.

So in the matchup, I should win unless Matt Ryan and Blair Walsh Project go off. Up 37 currently. In the total points league, currently have the highest points for the week (which is a small payout) and am locked in a tight battle for the lead with 2 other teams with 6 weeks to go. Ingram and Thielen have been carrying both teams the last bunch of weeks. Baltimore/Jacksonville Ds also doing well.
