it seems like VMart is irrelevant, they won't put Avila at DH from today's look with JDM at DH. McCann hasn't been too often injured, and Miggy has only been on the DL twice, the one earlier they only put him on because of 10 day, which he was against, since he was ready before 10 day. I wouldn't outright expect it, but if they become sellers, Avila could also be a trade chip.

Avoid Kluber @ COL this week?

My other choices are Vargas KC vs HOU (Keuchel) or Stroman TOR @ SEA (Miranda). Need Ws more than anything else. Leaning Stroman.

IMO it's still clearly Kluber. And once you say that W's are the most important category for you, that solidifies it.

I agree with you about not liking vetoes, but if that's not vetoable then there's no point in having a veto rule at all, which your league apparently does. What are your league's rules re: vetoes?

I've always seen the veto as strictly anti-collusion. If you think they're colluding, veto it. If not, shake your head and move on.

It's a ypl, don't know if these guys know each other or not but certainly not out of the realm of possibility. The guy getting Verlander/Trumbo is in 2nd and the guy getting Rodney is in 6th.

for YPL's, if you think there's a chance of collusion, always do it. Yahoo will evaluate it and make sure there's nothing fishy going on (and they rarely will veto unless it's VERY unfair or collusion)

I hate HATE trade vetos.
But in a YPL where it comes with the price of admission, I would veto that one all day long. Definitely something fishy going on , because there is no possible argument to be made that Rodney is the best closer he could get for Verly and Trumbo.

We have an "unintentional" collusion clause to veto trades. Whether it is a dump or the guy in 6th trying to screw over he guy in first by trading with the guy in second, if the trade affects the competitive balance of the league it should be vetoed.

fwiw, I just took a close look at Verlander and don't think he's turning it around. His velo is the same, his K/9 way down, his BB/9 doubled, hitters are swinging less and making contact more. He hasn't even been unlucky with HR/FB or BABIP. Think some analytics departments crunched some numbers and figured some things out after he took them all by surprise last year.
