In a redraft if I offered you Alonso for Judge would you accept?

Fwiw I agree that Judges avg is likely to stabilize a lot closer to .260 than .300
But he walks 15% of the time so hes going to be getting on base no matter what. A large part of the reason he has that astronomical BABIP is because he hits the ball harder than anyone in the history of Statcast. And hes only hitting infield popups 2% of the time - thats Vottoesque. So while part of that average is luck, hes also destroying every ball he puts in play

To your hypothetical, no, I would not trade judge for alonso if offered only because I can trace judge for a first rounder right now and can't do that with alonso, so I would sell judge and buy alonso in 2 separate moves

Think A's hitters are always underrated, because "bad team", "could be traded", etc etc. I don't think Alonso>Judge, but Alonso is close to him.

No, because the perceived difference is so much greater than the actual difference. You thinking judge is that much better is exactly my point

People are assuming the other shoe is going to drop on alonso and that judge is the second coming. Makes one a good buy and the other a great sell

McCann coming back Tuesday (probably), but I don't see how he stays as the backup with how hot his bat has been

There is no evidence suggesting Alonso is going anywhere considering the circumstances that got him here. His numbers are comparable or superior to judge depending on what you're looking at and how. If you sell him you're not going to get value cuz people don't believe this is legit in the same way people are going to overpay for judge

If you have alonso hold him. If you don't, try to buy

With Castellanos struggling, and Collins in AAA, he'll be #2 hitter, but it's when he starts. I worry they keep the platoon from before, seen no reason it'd change unfortunately.

Even if for whatever tard reason he doesn't keep playing 5-6 times a week, Im still rostering him as my only catcher. Id way rather have a C that rakes in only 3-5 starts per week than any of the scrubs who get more PA's in 5-6 games per week, but crush your AVG/OPB as a result.

Just got offered Gyorko Degrom and Trout for Correa and Glover. Not sure how to evaluate Trout any ideas? 12 team Head to head 5x5 plus OBP and QS. I only have Glover and Bush so I'm basically punting saves.

As personally agonizing as it is for me to say it I'm not sure Rich hill is even rosterable anymore. Best case scenario you get 5 or 6 innings out of him on a good day and that's ignoring the sudden mass amount of walks and the likelihood he gets taken out by a blister again. ****ing bastard

Today is a prime example of the problem. Victor Martinez is having a day off at DH, and they won't put Avila in there, and have Hicks in at C. Not convinced he sees a great amount of time starting next week, which makes me very hesitant

Yes, but what I'm saying is he's been like that due to increase in playtime due to McCann being out, so more time at C, and before that, Miggy was out, so increase time at 1B. With both those gone, it'll likely drop off unfortunately
