yahoo has so few games though that moving up basically means losing any cushion and going only against all the same ****s who probably collude and play every game

could try tournaments but that is probably lighting money on fire for me

What does people "colluding" have anything to do with playing a H2H?

What is a good site to give me advice for draft kings. I'm doing a season long daily league with buddies and my best finish so far is 10th... And there are only 11 of us in the league. It is 11 runners every week and it is winner take all.

I've been doing normal season long fantasy football for 6ish years and honestly I thought I'd do really well in this league.

Season long skills translate surprisingly poorly to DFS but there is obviously some overlap. Most of the edge comes from the fact that salaries are set at the beginning of the week before injury news is out, so guys like Jordan Howard this week (probably set before Langford went down on SNF) are basically must-starts.

This is a good post each week to see who the obvious plays are:

DKGO a salty panthers fan and wanted to feel good about something so he came on to say how he's 4-0 on yahoo. Other's pointed out that he might be being a bit #resultsoriented given the lineup differences between heavyweights and himself.

In case anyone having trouble following.

Additionally, I'm salty and bringing this up because I put up 141.5 on dk and had scam newton who cost me all of the double-ups.

Scam hot dogs his way into a concussion and missing free garbage time points and I lose by <2 points everywhere.

Had julio in cash and multis on fd tho so still profitable week at least.

I think the only person who said I might be being results oriented was myself

ryan was the clear correct play on yahoo and I was absolutely stunned that he was 7% owned in cash

it's not like I enter a week and think I want matt ryan as my cash QB, but he was very clearly the play on yahoo(and only yahoo). obviously we hit the nut outcome, but that doesn't change the fact that he was severely underpriced on a site where QBs are often hard to find at affordable prices

when ryan is cheaper than guys like bradford, alex smith, osweiler, and mariota that screams "must play" to me so was interested in the reasoning for people not going there especially when you obviously want to fit bell and antonio in your lineup. guess more people than I thought watch videos meant for other sites then use the same players

tbh hoyer was a good play on yahoo as well

in the $10 DU:

cam 55%
hoyer 14%
ryan 7%

interestingly, AB is only 37% and I suspect that has a lot to do with people who played cam over one of hoyer/ryan not being able to afford him because yahoo is pretty tight

jordan howard went off at 89%, but hunter henry only 59% despite being min price

basically, people play bad and we get their money

DFS doesn't work like that though. Just because a player is better/cheaper than 4 guys at the same position doesn't mean he's a play.

I obviously know that in a vacuum, was just giving a high overview of yahoo pricing since I didn't think most were familiar

Got my first experience badge on DK. Feels like graduating to eagle scout. Lot of big winners in the leagues, but not sure what that entails.

I know he swapped off bell and brown to give himself a shot at anything where he was basically dead.

Otherwise he puts up 130ish and that's not great but certainly not terrible. Think he said he won ~40% of H2Hs.

So you ran really bad in game selection if you had >130 and only beat one person.

Unless you only play pretty high stakes then yeah I could see 135 or whatever doing poorly this week since all the chalk did well expect Cam and he wasn't even as chalky as usual.

But as I said he said he took down ~40% so it's weird you beat him and nobody else.

He was the only H2H contest I did - my other cash was the large field ones where the payoff line was ~ 143 to my 137.

You guys can troll all you want but JumanjiBoard is one of the most rational dfs posters. And I still think most people that play dfs don't fundamentally understand the basic point here which is sort_by_value isn't how integer programming works.

My first quarter of the season can be simply summed up. Have avoided the injury bug completely. So get on my team and stay healthy.

Isn't selling lineups against the rules?

Just saw draft kings like a tweet where the guy admits to buying lineups lol

Agreed, Jumanji has helped a lot of people out here and provides a lot of valuable info for free, something you do not find often in the current DFS community. He should be commended!

I made a lineup on friday on Yahoo. Put it into the $1 DU and was going to go back and enter more games (and obviously edit the lineup)

Ryan seemed really obvious to me as well at $27 so I had him in.

Of course I got bogged down with DK/FD stuff and never went back to Yahoo even though my team would've smashed because of Ryan alone. Surprised more people didn't go him. Wonder if that is a function of the DFS tout/podcast/advice industry mostly hyping plays for FD/DK purposes and then values like him are a little off the radar. I didn't love him or anything either, he was just obvious at $27.

edit: Just read your post #260. Yeah, maybe not entirely but when nobody talks about Matt Ryan anywhere all week because Yahoo isn't in the conversation then maybe he just slips under the radar. Whereas the guys who are values on other sites tend to also be high owned on Yahoo.

re: Levitan lineup...

Speaking of the chalk hitting, the chalk has now gotten there for 4 weeks straight. Previous NFL seasons were not like this, last year there were a ton of major RB injuries that sunk people.

I've always kinda noticed games drying up around week 13 or 14 but this year it may come a lot sooner. The 5% of players is winning the money at a lot faster rate.
