why does it sound like he had a full lineup?

My opponent has Sims in his rb slot. He's an idiot for putting crowell in flex and not his MNF player, but that's him. He has no rb's on his bench to swap in. If I dropped Quizz before 9:58am he could have grabbed Quizz and slotted him in.

He can drop any of AP, Tavon Austin, Torrey Smith, Watkins for an RB that plays tonight. Those available being: Mike Tolbert and Russell Hansbrough.

The question as asked in my very first post on the subject:

I can drop Jacquizz for Tampa kicker Roberto Aguayo and have a chance at winning if he puts up
11 points more than Olsen (+tolbert/hansbrough if opponent goes that route)

Alternatively, I can forego any shot at this week and grab Seattle defence for future weeks, or just keep Jacquizz.

Basically it's play to win this week, maybe 5% chance (that's probably generous), or look to improve my team for ROS.

People ITT are too focused on how you got here and not what's your best action moving forward.

The TB kicker is a horrible 1-3 on the year with at least 1 missed XP. No way he is making up an 11 point deficit on Olsen so I wouldn't even bother

I agree it's OK to drop Rodgers and make the best move for your team's future. It's never FPS to block your opponent from acquiring a starting RB from MNF - that is just contrarian silly talk here

Didn't think it was wise to drop: Jennings, Latavius, Kelce, Wilson or Dez to stash seattle D. Guess some managers play differently.

Great, I'm playing vs Jaquizz tonight with a 23 point lead in ppr. I sense another bad beat coming my way. That would mean losing to a guy that started Bobby Rainey and Rodgers for his RB's. LOL.

Shut your whore mouth lol . If I didn't drop Meredith last minute you wouldn't have had a chance

He should have included that info in the original post. We were all assuming he was playing someone with a pulse. Charles Sims didn't practice all week, was doubtful, and was basically never going to play. Reasonable assumption to make, but he's playing against a braindead moron who is also rostering AP.

Obviously blocking Jacquizz over an empty roster slot for your opponent is probably good. It wouldn't be reasonable to assume the guy is blocking his own roster spot lol.

At this point, yes drop Rodgers because he's worthless to you.

The question was answered by everyone (try and win, which I still think is correct given the circumstances). I was just wondering what your strategy was, and now that you explained yourself, it makes a lot more sense. No one was trollish/being a dick about it either, it was an odd situation given your opponent's stupidity.

Interesting dynamic that I'm curious if I should wave the white flag.

$100 league with $5 per each add. I've been hit with IR and injuries HARD. Lost Keenan Allen, Danny Woodhead, Vereen, and Charles Sims.

Full point PPR and bonus for longer TDs and more top heavy point structure for big games. 1-4 after this week Last place buys shot at next league based off of lowest point total (currently 11 of 12) for $25.

Current Roster
QB Wilson Hoyer
RB JStewart Matt Jones KDixon Dwayne Washington DeAndre Washington Sims(IR)
WR Cooks DHopkins DJax Cruz RWoods MThomas
TE Reed
D/ST Rams Jets

2 RB 2 WR 1 Flex

Do you just quit adding to avoid throwing good money after bad? Top three in points and standing from playoffs get paid out in 12 team league. Already 230pts behind #1 in the league.

Thanks very much!

Never play in a league with a price for making roster moves, IMO.

It costs money to make it more fun?

I'm out.

Week 13, one of the bottom teams gets an injury and doesn't spend the $5 to fill his lineup?

How does this make it more fun?

I commish one league and I ramp up prizes for highest weekly points to make the lesser teams have something to play for late in the season.

This pay for moves formats seems to run counter to competitiveness?

I see bottom teams quitting the league pretty early and not putting more money in

Yea so do both.

League I run isn't a head to head points system. Get points based on where you finish among your peers on a weekly basis. Money for ww moves and money for weekly high point.

Weekly high points helps mitigate it, but still would prefer not having a disincentive to weaker teams to keep trying.

i mean sure, you can ask half a question without listing things like this or like who your current defense is and then get really defensive about it. you asked if you should try to win, the answer should be yes. defense is the most random position in fantasy football too, so trying to predict what weeks seattle is going to outscore X team is just kind of silly. theyre currently the 10th ranked defense on ESPN and have games @NE, @NO, and @GB. so like i said, forfeiting a game just to stash them seems like a bad idea.

Lol at that Tampa kicker.
Has there been a worse kicker than him in the NFL in the past 10 years?

I'm 5-0 because the horseshoe is so far up my ass, its ridiculous. I'm sure it will fall out right as the playoffs start.

I was leading going into tonights game by 19.36 points. I had no players and he had Graham Gano and Jameis Winston.

Unbelievably they only combine for 18.36 points and I win 124.46 to 123.46

Gano missed an easy field goal early in the game. Then as Tampa gets to around the 30 yardline, Carolina gets a face mask penalty to set up a chip shot winning field goal for Tampas shaky kicker as time runs out. Another 10 yard pass from Winston might have given him the win and that penalty ensured they didn't have to try.

It did make an otherwise boring game pretty exciting to watch.

Also, two weeks ago I only scored like 80 points but the guy I played only scored 75, there was no other team I could have beat that week.

Like I said, that horseshoe is way up there

Does anything change for teams that have been mathematically eliminated?
