It would be in roto so not too worried about him vs lefties

Huh? I mean in roto. He's a black hole vs lefties on the road and you don't want to start him in those scenarios.

Stanton, e5, Blackmon and dozier for pujols, hamilton, kipnis, andrus, boxburger, Doolittle and rodney is a trade that actually happened in a $100 ypro

Hi guys, I'm looking for a new league this year. Have always played 5x5 standard Roto. I'm open to different scoring but want to stay Roto. Also open to keeper/dynasty/anything else fun and interesting I don't know about. Looking to play for $300+ in a fun, active, and competitive league. PM if you got something for me, thanks!

Will also be tackling DFS MLB this year (if the government doesn't ruin it first), so if there's a league with DFS guys Id enjoy talking strat.

I highly recommend the NFBC $350 buyin on line championship series:

http://nfbc.stats.com/baseball/conte...ic.asp?id=1511

1/12 gets $1400, 2/12 $700, $100K top overall prize.

Highly competitive, WW with no trading (or the idiocy/collusion that come with it).

As far as DFS there will be a thread for 2016 in here pretty soon, not a lot of strat talk though. last years is on page 3

Maybe FL being a banned state for me is a blessing in disguise.

Yes to this. I've done the cheaper $150 leagues for a few years on there and its well-run. Just keep in mind you're paying significant vig that goes to the overall prizes for each division.

6x6 OBP and holds keeper, tough trade offer just got sent to me...

I get sano ($1), will be able to keep for four years, 2 next year, 8, then 10% increase for the last two

I give Harper (36), can only keep this year and next with 10% inflation

Who are your other keepers and what's your draft situation?

Planning on keeping hosmer (8), Wong (5), upton (28), bro (36), Altuve (11), Carlos Gomez (12), kluber (1) and Nola (5)

Draft we get $260 to spend, 12 teamer

I think I pull the trigger. The difference between sano's true cost and what you pay for him for 4 years is greater than bro's who you only have for 1 more year after this. Plus even with bro's incredibly strong obp is going to be hard to trust his volune stats when he gets the bonds treatment

Keep Harper and win your league this year and next year.

I keep Harper. He makes your team a LOT better over the next 2 years. I don't even think about 3 years down the line in any fantasy baseball league.

i refuse to believe the $35 saved can't net you a player where that player + sano isn't > bro

He's not Harper, but Sano gets a little bump in your league if OBP is your 6th cat.

If you can get a top 25 player (anyone .. I don't really care who) for $30-$35 in your auction you gotta do it. You'd have $189 to spend which has to be a huge advantage

You got any better options than Nola at $5? Hes clearly not getting saves or holds, and on the Phillies prob no wins either. He's not terrible or anything but just wondering if you got any other decent options

trying to finalize some keeper options. its a 2p2 league, so im sure some of you will try to sabotage me

6x6, with obp instead of avg, and TB, and with QS. have to keep at least 1 hitter and 1 pitcher. ill list the keeper round for this year and then next year (rules are basically 1st year +1 rd, then +3, then +5, etc). also have NA slots, so urias is kind of viable.

lester (12, then 9)
urias (24, then 23)

stanton (1, can be kept indefinitely at 1)
machado (8, then 7)
votto (3, then 2)
blackmon (25, then 22)
springer (14, then 11)
buxton (15, then 12)

stanton, machado feel like obvious keeps. blackmon feels like enough value to keep. i guess lester > urias? i really dont have any other options at pitcher worth looking at. with obp votto feels like a steal at 3rd, but can see good arguments for sprinter or buxton over him (probably mainly springer).

Some pretty other bad options:

Andrew Miller at $9 (holds)
Lucroy (1)
Shelby Miller (6)

And no wins so that's not a factor, QS league

No thanks to Shelby.

Lucroy is still being drafted as a top 5 catcher in a mini-tier with Salvy Perez and McCann. I think I'd take my chances on him at $1 over Nola seems kinda fungible to me. If you start two catchers I think you have to keep Lucroy

I think you guys are overestimating the quality and quantity of talent that is getting thrown back into the draft in a keeper league. If you trade Harper, there's 0 chance to draft anyone with near his production regardless of how much auction $$ you have to spend.

I think it's a lot better to lock up the elite players and then find the bargains in the draft, than the other way around. Obv its ideal to keep some of both, but I prefer keeping the talent even if its at a cost closer to market value (Harper is nowhere near market value in this case).

Also, Harper at 35 carries a very very similar amount of excess value as Sano at $1. If you don't believe look at the projections and run the numbers.
For example last year Harper was worth well over $70 in my OBP league. Sano would have to return like $35 (or more) to break even.

8 keepers 12 teams, seems like the more expensive guys will get thrown back as people value cheaper players more. I expect some top dollar guys to be there but for like 70+

So 96 players kept.
I'm going to guess that the players you would really want go for over $50, and there won't be anything even close to Harpers value in the $25-35 range.

What year is this league in? If its beyond the 2nd year, who were the most expensive players drafted last season?

3rd year of the league, miggy went for 55, cutch 54, trout 72 last season. I doubt any of those guys will be kept this year

Tulo 40, E5 43
