Seattle is off to LA - your point is still valid

Was way ahead of the curve on rogers . But yea I fell for the Austin trap. I have the #2 ww so I cant use my waiver for tyrell but Im praying no one scoops him.

Carrying even 2 RBs from the same team at this point in the season is pretty suboptimal (unless it is a Bell/Dangelo situation). 3 is just silly. Handcuffing is fine after byes have passed and roles are more defined but they really limit your upside early on, not to mention many situations are like this Raiders one where you don't even know who the handcuff is.

Thinking I'm just going to hold pat but worried about DT's hip.

I would not use either one of your number 1 waiver spot on any of those guys unless waivers reset to standings every week (in which case I'd say Rogers in PPR, Tyrell in standard). If they stay static, then I'd stay put for now.

I kind of disagree strongly.

There are a few teams where "next guy up" is a borderline RB1.

I think a Zeke/AlfMo and Ware/Charles combos are fine as well. Maybe even CJ/Booker?

I'd rather have a potential stud over a few barely waiver wire guys, IMO. Alfred Morris, McKinnon, Starks are better to roster > guys like Forsett and Sproles who would never start for you (non PPR, IMO).

Charles/Ware is similar to Bell/Dangelo since one of them is already out and next up has been proven. Obv fine to have both.

Rostering Zeke and Alfmo or CJA and Booker is pretty meh though. You want to have other peoples handcuffs at this point. You're playing to win, and maximizing upside early is important. I'm obv not saying a guy like Sproles is better than any of those cuffs, just that having CJA/Morris is much better than having CJA/Booker. Post-bye weeks, sure lock up your guys, but you're just playing for mediocrity if you're doing it this early in the season.

If the sproles level is the best on the waiver wire, than you kind of are saying that we should roster sproles instead of AlfMo etc...

I do a bunch of cuffs/lottery picks over slightly better "starters". Either way, good luck.

Huh? No I'm not saying that at all. Apologies for the lack of clarity but I have no idea where the waiver wire came into this, or why you think I am anti-lottery tickets and pro-low upside guys or something.

One more try: When you are picking your "lottery tickets", it is better to diversify and not cap your upside by picking backups to your own players (handcuffs) so that when that lottery ticket hits, you now have 2 good players instead of still just having 1.

This all assumes you are playing to win and are in an at least slightly competitive league, if your team is far and away better than anyone else's then handcuffing your own guys would make sense (and like I said after the byes when the payoff for lottery tickets is much lower it makes sense too).

Good luck to you as well, and sorry again for not being clear enough.

I wouldn't waste a top 3 waiver priority on any of the guys this week, be it Rogers, Williams, whoever. Should be much better pickups over the next 1-2 weeks.

People are really talking #1WW on Eli Rogers or Tyrell? What am I missing?

Guess I'm nickle and diming my waiver wires right now. Probably under bidding on a lot of guys, but I don't love a lot of what's out there in leagues where Fuller/Sharpe are gone.

In the league I had Keenan, I'm doing a $1 bid on Davante Adams. No one talking about him after last year. Ya, he blew last year but he still ended up winning the #3 job while I'm sure the coaches were wishing someone else to take it.
7 targets from Rodgers has to be worth something and if not, a super easy cut.

So are Riddick or Sanu worth a #1 WW? I have it in two leagues where both are available. Both leagues I have Keenan and Ertz, but I don't feel pressed to pick someone up as my teams are pretty solid.

I'm saying 100% no. Riddick in a PPR league is worth something, but I don't think its a #1

I just noticed fuller is available in one of my 8 team league where I also have #1 priority. Assuming this is a snap, no?

Tend to agree with you.

I'd probably spend on Fuller but if I was already stacked at WR I may pass. Easier to find the next RB waiver gold than it is to try to trade for one this year.

I'm not sure which way that comment is going to push you lololol but Ryan has been secretly terrible for a while imo.
