Even though there is bias with blocked shots, I like having an extra skater stat to make sure goalie stats aren't too heavily weighted.
Yeah, saves should select goalies who play a lot and should help even out the disparity a bit more than wins I think. If you've got a goalie on a bad team that's getting peppered, he'll at least rack up a bunch of saves whereas he wouldn't get many wins, skewing Ws toward the top-tier goalies in a deep league.
Re: blocks, sure there's bias in 1-week samples, but I'm guessing it's +/- 1-2 blocks per game and won't matter too much. I don't really like using anything else, and blocks should in theory reward defensemen and defensive-minded forwards who might not rack up boxcars.
