No, I have to do that manually once everybody selects their keepers. A5 and my buddy easternbloc still need to give me their list, so I'll get it done later today.

1. I've eliminated the divisions and randomized the schedule since divisions are rather pointless anyway. The six best teams during the regular season will make the playoffs.

2. I've changed one of the IR spots to IR+, which encompasses day-to-day players. Since players can be held out of games and retroactively placed on IR in the NHL, this keeps you from getting boned if a player is DTD for a week before he hits the IR list. We had some discussion about this last season, but ultimately the rule wasn't changed because we were in the middle of the year. If you'd like both spots to be IR+, speak up and I'll make that change if there's an overwhelming majority.

If there are any other rule changes you'd like to see, feel free to post them here for discussion and feedback.
First change is obv fine and good, don't see anybody objecting to this.

I'm a little torn on the second one but honestly I would err on the side of making both spots IR+. It wasn't at all uncommon last year to have multiple players banged up. In fact it happened to me during a playoff week last season and it sucked pretty hard. Whatever advantage can be gained by temporarily stashing a player is going to be pretty miniscule and I don't see the group we have resorting to those kinds of tactics anyhow.

Another reason to make the second spot IR+ is because after the trade deadline teams will often times not even bother putting legitimately injured players on IR since the cap ramifications become meaningless.

Okay, I've put in everybody's keepers. You should be able to view them here:

Make sure your list is correct as I had to do it manually.

If it is really the case that we start 7 defensemen then I will need someone to trade me a couple d men. I'll trade offers welcome. Anyone who has an abundance of D men? Also I'd like Martin Jones to whomever took him.

On the bright side, I didn't draft Ben Scrivens...

Amazing how much better I am doing given that 1) I actually attended some of the draft and 2) I am actively managing my lineup. I mean I am bound to lose interest in a few weeks but for now this is fun.

Someone trade me some Wild so I can get the hometown mojo going. I've had a few trade requests hanging out there for several days. Feel free to counter folks...

Is there a place where I can track goalie starts to make sure that I hit the minimum? Also what day does the week begin and end? Seems like this first week is longer.

I use leftwinglock.com, there's a couple others.

Starts on Monday runs through Sunday. First week is extra long, ends this coming Sunday.

Thanks.

On the goalie question I meant somewhere in Yahoo that tells you how many starts you have accumulated for the week. I mean I can always go back and count them but I am sure they have a counter somewhere I just can't find it.

Well I choked away my playoff match vs Figjam in pretty epic fashion. Was up 9-4 with about an hour or so to go, but only had a small lead in a few different categories. After finally being overtaken in assists and blocks, I was still in pretty good shape to hold on for the win with only a few minutes left in the Canucks - Coyotes game. I could afford to give up a powerplay point or an assist, but not a powerplay assist. You can guess what happened next - the Canucks score on the powerplay with two minutes to go. He gets a secondary assist from Vrbata. We tie 6-6 and he advances on a tiebreaker. Commence life tilt.

Gotta hand it to him though - that's some heart right there. I guess that's why he's the TWO TIME DEFENDING CHAMP and I haven't won a playoff round yet.

Battle of embarrassments. I was so close to grabbing Bachman last night too but all the sources said Scrivens starts. Oops.

From what I read it's cumulative head to head score between both teams. Pretty sure I have it. This is a hell of a sweat.

It appears my reign of terror has finally come to an end. Should have zeroed in on my goalies a bit earlier with my FA picks but wow what a blow up all week long. GG and GL Khaos!

nice, or not. managed to lose the race to mceichel because I didn't get another goalie start in and had 7 saves less and lost the tie breaker.
Also thank you Matt Martin for not gettin a single penalty minute last week....

Would still be interested how the tie breaker works tough o_0

I must say so far this season is a ton of fun and this beeing a keeper league just makes it even more awesome! Had a lot of nice trades talks this year, everyone involved was really friendliy!!

Also can we get rid of SHP next season? I feel like this is the most random stat of them all(besides GWG). Maybe put in hits instead?
