Won by 1.34 points despite Cohen putting up a dud. Yahoo has significantly raised my scoring projection but they have my projected record at 4-9 still. Cirrently 2-0 and 2nd in the league in scoring.

- Going to use the #1 WW priority on Gio. As a Mixon owner i kind of have to.

- This is a league full of my friends and co-workers. If it wasn't I'd be shopping Conner hard right now.

- Love Dallas D vs Seattle O next week. Lots of sacks incoming.

- Cohen dead. Feel free to drop.

I never understood why Cohen was getting drafted. He literally did nothing after the first 2 weeks of last season.

Yeah it's a usage issue not a talent issue. If he played for NO instead of Kamara he'd be a RB1. Moving on for now. He def looks like a miss. Waldman had him as a RB2 this year as well so it wasn't just me. They just aren't throwing it to him. For whatever reason they are running him in between the tackles like he's Jordan Howard.

Gabriel isn't even being drafted in 12 teamers.

At least you made some calls before the games started being played. Funny you didn't mention Cohen here though. Today it's obvious to you he was terrible. Lynch might have been my worst pick though......

Traded James Conner today for Jordan Howard. I hope Conner plays most of the year but i def saw him wearing down this last week. Everybody is down on Howard but I still think he's fine. One of the best runners of the football in the league.

Last nights game felt like they were giving Gabriel the kinda of looks Cohen should be getting. Weird play calling, only really threw it down the field like 4 times

Yeah that's a good observation. Cohen will have some nice games because he'll break some plays but the usage simply hasn't been there.

Made another trade today.

Gave Lynch and got Baldwin. People are scared of the Seattle's O and the injury. I see Baldwin as a sneaky WR1 the second half of the season........

Watching Engram play last night made me even more convinced he's a star but we might have an Eli Manning problem so he could under perform my projections.

Engram is sitting at TE9. Assuming my next door neighbor was being truthful and he was going to take Engram in the 4th round if I didn't (I believe him fwiw), how high does Engram have to finish the season in the TE rankings to justify that pick?

Dropped Garoppolo for Baker Mayfield.

Dropped Goodwin for Vance McDonald.

It was a tough choice between him and Goedert.

4th in scoring with lots of injuries. Cobb should bounce back after the bad game in a rain soaked day. Fournette should be back this week and Mixon back in 2 weeks maybe. I can maybe push for the scoring title if Fournette gets hot.

Fournette killing me. Weird Howard usage too. Meh if my guys go off tonight i have a decent chance of winning.

Still top 3 in scoring with more injuries than most. I'll take it.

Wolves one thing that does happen with players who have a history of injury: they get injured more. That was always a pretty big risk for you, minus Jimmy that was bad luck.

Which RBs were gone when you took Fournette and which ones were still available? He seems like a bad investment at 1.07 in PPR.

Barkley and Gordon were still there. If he hadn't gotten hurt I'm confident he would have outscored them. His usage in his first game (tiny sample) hints at me being right. My position was that the Jags improved their OL and were building their offense around Fournette. He was going to see an increased role on passing downs after proving he was more than capable catching passes last year.

I stated his ankle issues were a little overblown. Then he injuried his hamstring.

If he comes back week 11 and tears it up was I wrong on him?

Barkley is an elite receiver, Gordon is a good receiver, and you passed on them for a guy with a significant injury history and who was regularly taken off the field on third downs when he was healthy. So, yes, I think you were wrong and predictably so. (Just based on expected usage patterns Barkley was probably a better pick than Fournette in standard scoring-- in PPR it's not close.)

Your reasoning is the problem here, because for it to work you not only have to bank on Fournette hitting the top of his range of his outcomes but ALSO on Barkley and Gordon to disappoint significantly.

It's clear you just really wanted Fournette enough to bet big on him, which is fine, but if you're trying to improve your process then it's important to examine the ways in which your reasoning was poor.
