Assuming you're 8 I think you did pretty well, especially waiting as long as you did for RB. Seeing Luck/Dak/Winston go just before you was probably pretty annoying. 6 would have been amazing in a 2 WR league, still pretty good here

2 more yahoo pros from the 7 spot

wanted to mix up what i was doing since i didnt want to have similar teams in both

seattle defense was a misclick but dont think it really impacted much

much happier with the top team after seeing how much harder it is to draft if you start rb/rb

Team 2 crushed it. 3 and 6 did quite good as well. I hope you're not team 8.

Think you went QB too early in both, but other than that solid job. Agree team 1 seems better even though I think the Seattle D pick was more costly than you do.

I am!

I was definitely not in the right mode, drafting with casuals you should go ahead and lock down positions a little earlier than normal with all the value that falls, and I didn't really do that. I just kept building depth (how I'd draft in a more competitive league) assuming the casuals wouldn't keep backing up their stud qbs/tes, but they did of course so now I gotta scramble some at the qb/te position.

I also relied a bit too much on FBG I think for this draft (my 1st of the year). Their rankings differ quite a bit on some guys compared to espn/fpros/etc. which the rest were using, but there was a lot of drinking and who cares right? I just gotta limp my way to week 8...and with it being a casual league where most aren't active on the wire and 6/10 making playoffs it seemed right to take Zeke there, but who knows.

Teams 2 and 6 are the most knowledgeable guys fwiw, besides myself (usually!), so you are spot on there I think.

some noteables undrafted: Hogan (I dropped Perine for him), Lewis, Vereen, Burkhead, Smallwood

I think yours and 9 are pretty good in the 1st one

Would be nice to have decker/cobb/snead instead of Seattle D

man there are some horrendous picks/drafts in there, I have to assume $20?

2nd one looks ok too, especially for starting rb/rb

Team 3 in that one looks dangerous, if they had gone Ingram instead of Delanie it would be about perfect imo.

Dang, was hoping the highlighting was a fakeout and you were one of those other 3 teams :P

I actually like your first 3 picks a lot, though Shady would've been pretty tempting in the second round. I think Zeke was a steal where you got him given the setup.

You might be reading too many WW posts to pick Tyreek there, and Crab/Powell/Coleman were all picked a little early with better options on the board also imo.

Rd. 10 was obv the spot to take a QB with so many picks from teams with no qb coming up, but Rivers is still fine, though I prefer going Ben in 11 and Martellus in 12. Missing out on Martellus was prob your biggest misstep of the draft. Hindsight is 20/20 obv, but Mariota/Martellus seems to me to be a whole lot better than Rivers/Brate, and all it woulda cost you was DMC or Terrence West prob.

Think there are some better options than Brate at TE, but he's not a bad option or anything given you waited until the last round for TE.

First money league, 12 teams league settings are:
QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 2 Flex, TE, K, DST.
Scoring is standard except -1 for each time sacked, and 5 yard per point for rushing/receiving.

Well in that format I'd ideally want to start 4 rbs so 2/9 look best at first glance, but zeke picks depend on playoff format the most imo.

If it's 4/12 it's way too early, if it's 6/12 it's better, 12 is great.

It's 4/12 for playoffs which I admit I had not thought enough about before drafting Zeke. I was pretty certain Gurley was going to make it back around as he was not high on the default rankings but I was not as certain about Zeke making it back so I took a chance. I think it worked well with Cook falling to me but that was just getting lucky.

Well this one didn't turn out quite like I expected. Standard scoring 2rb, 2wr, 1wr/te flex:

1. (6) Odell Beckham Jr. (NYG - WR) - Between OBJ, AJ Green and Evans

2. (19) Rob Gronkowski (NE - TE) - Never considered anyone else here

3. (30) DeAndre Hopkins (Hou - WR) - Got sniped on Baldwin. Lamar Miller, DT available

4. (43) Carlos Hyde (SF - RB) - Was between Hyde, Lynch, and TyMont...not sure here

5. (54) Jordan Reed (Was - TE) Sniped on ARob, seemed like value given I can start 2 TE's and this league isn't too tough to trade in. Maybe shoulda taken Hunt here, but thought he might fall to me next round.

6. (67) Mike Gillislee (NE - RB) - Abdullah, Coleman, Blount next 3 RB's taken

7. (78) Stefon Diggs (Min - WR) - Value, not sure why he is so buried on Yahoo but I'll take it. Bilal Powell was my other consideration.

8. (91) Doug Martin (TB - RB) - Rob Kelley, Frank Gore, Woodhead next 3 RB's

9. (102) Andrew Luck (Ind - QB) - Geez, guy picking after me was only other one without a QB, Rivers/Stafford/Carr still there, but felt like might be worth the gamble at this point?

10. (115) Rex Burkhead (NE - RB) Riddick/West/JHill next 3 rb's

11. (126) Andy Dalton (Cin - QB) Wasn't used to taking Luck so might've messed this up since Dalton's sched starts tough...maybe shoulda went with Carson Palmer instead.

12. (139) Matt Forte (NYJ - RB) Blah

13. (150) Tyler Lockett (Sea - WR) Meh

14. (163) Joe Williams (SF - RB) Prob stupid to cuff the SF rb situation lol me

15. (174) Jacksonville (Jax - DEF) whatevs

16. (187) Phil Dawson (Ari - K) best picture, lol olds, dropped already

QB- Luck, Dalton
RB- Hyde, Gillislee, DMart, Burkhead, Forte, Williams
WR- OBJ, DHop, Diggs, Lockett
TE- Gronk, Reed

Any thoughts/critiques appreciated

Like it. Most of the mistakes are small and you admit to most of them (weak no upside late picks, Reed over Hunt).

Just enter into clickydraft or equivalent as the draft goes, takes no time, and you'll get much better feedback.

Whole lotta meh in there, a few teams just one or two boneheaded picks away from being quite good. I think I like team 1 the most, especially if more than 4 teams make the playoffs and there is not big incentives for winning regular season. If those things aren't the case, maybe like team 7 best despite their kinda wtf 3rd round pick.

Didn't think it was possible to mess up the 2nd pick spot as much as the team in this league did. At least they picked Bell, which prob means they still won't be the worst team despite the most lol draft imo.

Don't have any 14 team leagues, but this def seems like a solid first 9 rounds. Allen maybe a little early, but Hyde in the 5th seems great. Not sure on how much qb changes in 14 teamers, Rivers still seems a bit early to me, but I'm not sure.

I understand D's being worth a little more in a 14 teamer due to increased difficulty of streaming, but round 10 still seems super early to me, especially since it's not even for one of the top 2-3 d's. Dalton in 11 is nice (and makes me wish you didn't take Rivers in 7), but a kicker in 12 is just absurd. Also would prefer a stronger backup TE if I had Reed as my TE1.

Most of these weird picks were due to draft situation. I agree on all these points. There were 7 QBS taken by round 3, So i had to move by tier sheet pretty much up 2 spots from where they were for each tier ( round 11 to round 9, etc.).
During round 7 there were 2 people right after me that still needed QBS, and I did not want Dalton to be QB1 so I took a dive.

- It was between KC & Houston for me. I still think KC will be a decent defense.
- I agree with the TE. It was between him and Higabee. Took me down to the last second. I wish now that I had just skipped TE and streamed that week, and took another RB.

A "few" clowns is being quite generous.

Team 10 seems like the best even though Dak seems to not be ideal for this format, and CJA and Landry are guys I've been avoiding like the plague.

Team 4 did ok. 8 and 11 aren't terrible. 5 and 12 seem to be auto-drafted which makes them better than the rest of the remaining teams imo.

+1 to Team 10 having captured the most (seeming) "value". Team 11 looks pretty good too (besides the round 10 kicker and Gillislee at 5.11 - which could of course be "correct", but I'm avoiding any NE RB in round 5).

Just in case it wasn't obvious - the "clowns" include: Tyler L at 2.11, Jimmy Graham in the 3rd, and a lot of the early kickers. Freeman over AB is meh. As much as people (correctly) rag on others for drafting a kicker in round 10, the mistake of taking Lockett or Jimmy Graham so early is way worse of a mistake than Mason Crosby in round 10.

Teams that I think are ok/decent: 4, 12, 8, 9
