I was a Howard owner in a ppr keeper league this year.
You can't tell me you were happy having him on your team.

I wasn’t happy having any of these guys on my team this year. That’s why I’m looking to move them for a better player if I can. Howard was actually the most solid of them down the stretch. Doesn’t mean they won’t be better. Out of the five, if I picked two to hold it would be Howard and Godwin, Howard because he just turned 24, has two top-12 finishes and will be a FA in a year, and Godwin because he is 22 and about to move into a full snap load.

.5 PPR dynasty-ish league where we must keep exactly 11 for free then do an auction draft for non-kept + rookies
start: 1qb, 2rb, 3wr, 2flex, 1TE

current roster (bolded are ones I'd likely keep, but ignore it if I bolded someone I shouldn't because I am just doing it to show you a likely 11 keepers)

godger, goff
barkley, connor, le'veon, cohen, kenneth dixon, alex colins
amari, hilton, watkins, edelman, taylor gabriel, geronimo, crabtree, DJ chark, st. brown
gronk, njoku

As you can see keeping 2 TEs & 2QBs means I can only keep 3 WRs in a league where we start 3 + 2 flex so this isn't ideal. What are your alls thoughts on offering brandin cooks owner his pick of 5 of the following players for cooks:

goff,
dixon, collins
edelman, taylor gabriel, geronimo, crabtree, DJ chark, st. brown
gronk

his team:
big ben, mullens
carson, barber, foreman, jamaal williams
cooks, goodwin, chritian kirk, zay jones, djax, callaway, kelvin benjamin, b lafell, dez
engram, mcdonald

Playoffs pool, 6 teams PPR scoring, 4/-2 for QB TD/INT. No add drops, team is set for entire playoffs, highest cumulative total wins. Thoughts on team rankings??

1: Goff, Zeke, Gordon, Cooks, Baldwin, Ertz, Zuerlein, NO DEF
2. Brees, Michel, J. White, Mi. Thomas, A-Rob, Gronk, Lutz, NE DEF
3. Luck, Gurley, Carson, TY Hilton, R. Woods, Ebron, Vinatieri, LAR DEF
4. Brady, T. Cohen, Da. Williams, K. Allen, Amari, Jarwin, Gostkowski, LAC DEF
5. Trubisky, Kamara, Mack, Hopkins, Edelman, Burton, Parkey, HOU DEF
6. Mahomes, Ingram, J. Howard, Tyreek, Ginn, Kelce, Butker, CHI DEF

Dude. This is exactly the issue here. You're talking these guys up like they are slam-dunk studs and then say this sort of stuff and sit there confused why he's not giving up Hopkins. If your guys were as good as you're building them up to be, then you wouldn't be making the deal.

I'm not confused as to why he isn't giving up Hopkins. I know exactly the reason: I haven't made him an offer. However, there is a difference between our situations -- my team needing one more star player more than a bunch of players who have the ability to be better than they were this season; his team not being in contention with that star but perhaps getting there if multiple players he's getting back reach their potential. That's the common area where our opposite agendas could coincide for a deal.

I was out of town for a couple of weeks so obviously didn't get in this. Was fun.

I think optimal is a high variance "stack" sort of situation, based on who you think will play 3 games, or at least 2...

My quick take:
6 best chance to win (If KC wins 2 where they will be big fave and pick em, 6 wins) (also the best chance to be last if they lose next weekend)
1 is not an optimal build, but I do like the LA Rams in with a shot to play in the superbowl.
2 was built well (probably the best team), and is interesting but I think the Pats are not the team this year.
3,4,5 will be in the battle for 2nd place $. high floor, low ceiling type teams.

Neglected to mention it’s WTA.

Appreciate the feedback. Always question my strategy with these things.

In what order do you put these assets going forward in dynasty? ARob, 1.7, Marvin Jones, Pettis, MVS.

Football Guys has it:

Arob > MJ > Pettis > MVS and ARob ~ 1.7

I personally don't care for Arob so I'd say 1.7 is the most valuable asset and I have Arob almost equal to MJ. This year I don't love the 1.7 pick so IDK. I guess you're happy if you get a young WR or a possible RBBC RB.

Marvin is tough. He was WR11 in half-PPR in 2017. Tate is gone and Golladay had difficulties being the focus of the defense. I could see him being underrated coming back from the injury. But he's 28, I don't think he's had another season where he was even in the top-24 WRs, and there's recent talk of the Lions trading him.

Footballguys seems to value 1.7 very lowly. I don't see how MVS is about equal to 1.7 in value, or Marvin is worth more than 1.7.

It has pick 7 worth 34ish points. It has MVS worth 19, Arob 35, MJ 27 and Pettis 24. MVS isn’t worth 1.7 in value, neither is MJ. I said I’d rather have 1.7 most years than Arob. This year it’s debatable due to a weak class.

I think ARob is a legit #1 wr but the Bears offense is just too varied game to game. Trubes is the #1 asset, then Cohen, but Trubes isn't good enough yet to elevate ARob and they'll never target him 15x a game unless they're down a TE, RB and WR

frankly they need to work Howard into the mix more and shore up their power run game

Wonder what Tyler Lockett needs to do to be featured more in that offence. I don't know his catch rate, but eyeball testing it's elite. The dude literally always makes plays. Why target him 8 times, lol. NFL math is hard.

Wilson had a perfect passer rating when targeting Lockett this season. That is just absurd.

They targeted him a reasonable amount as a % of total passes etc, the issue was they threw the ball so rarely, even though
1) Dallas has a really good record against the run this year
2) Russell Wilson is good at football

I’d imagine his per target stats would drop dramatically if he was targeted a bunch but each pass Lockett gets seems to be receiving gold. I’d assume Lockett mainly gets looks when he’s gotten his defender significantly burned. Since he’s so small, Russ won’t fit it in unless it’s a gimme.

The Gates receiving line was 15.5, made the largest wager I've made in 2 years on that. Used 3 accounts.

I'm at 14 now, half to go. I dunno why, but I'm still nervous. Shook from the Cowboys game backdoor, lol.

Did they not adjust the line when it was revealed that HH wasn't playing?

The Chargers won't be able to run it, so I'd expect them to throw a lot of quick passes.

It won't be pretty, but I'd expect you to exceed that 15.5...especially with the Virgil Green fumble.
