Mahomes, AJ, Landry, D Henry, Tevin, J Howard, 1.8 for Kamara, Mixon and Wilson (or Mayfield)?

Your not getting any of those rb's off of anybody without a big over pay and none of your players or pick mentioned qualifies as an overpay.
You could offer all of those players and I highly doubt anyone even ponders the proposition.
You had it right at Chubb level

Also, I’m thinking maybe I can go up incrementally, to the Chubb/Fournette level and then to a top-five player.

You’re not getting 2 top 8ish rbs with that deal unless this was sf or two qb and you included mahomes.

Fournette shouldn't be all that expensive right now.
Not someone I'm targeting but an argument can be made

Yeah. Basically my argument is that he's talented, will be 24 next season, and Jax will be better.

I wouldn't even contemplate this if it was offered to me. However, I'm not as high on mahomes or howard as most.

I just hate the idea of giving up the 2 best players in a trade.

That's a good point. I'm hoping an epic Mahomes playoff performance makes it enticing. Though I would say I'm higher on Howard in the long run than most. Maybe I'm not as high on Mahomes if people think Mahomes is going to continue to put up numbers like this season his whole career, but you have to like his age, Tyreek's age and that system.

I play in a 10 man 0.5ppr dynasty, having just completed our first year. We use IDP too.

I think I have had a good year trading, my general aim was to create value.

I want to brag about some of my trades and take criticism where needed.

week 3;
I gave up Andy Dalton and 2019 4.7 I got davante adams 2019 1.3
Guy1 is an idiot, he was drunk and got confused as to Dalton was as Dalton had 3 20pt games. We are a 2 Qb league, Guy1 only drafted 1 good QB.

After this trade I was overvaluing Qb's and had two decent ones

week 4:
I gave up Tyreek Hill, Darious Leonard and 2019 9.7, Guy2 gave up Mariota, amari cooper and 2019 3.6.

Ive been criticized over that trade...... I can see why. In 2 QB dynasty I still prefer my side.

week 5:
I gave up 2019 2.7, Guy3 gave up Bobby wagner.

week 7;
I gave up 2019 1.3, Guy4 gave me steffon Diggs.

week 9;

I gave up Lamar Miller, Guy2 gave up Carr, anthony miller and 2019 4.6. Lamar miller became Guy2's second best rb and Guy2 is a playoff contender.

week 10;
I gave up anthony miller, Guy4 gave up Jarvis Landry
and
I gave up sterling shepard, guy 2 gave up Funchess
and
I gave up
2020 1.6, 2020 3.6, guy5 gave up 2019 1.5, 2019 3.5, 2019 6.5 and 2019 7.5. (i guess he didnt like the 2019 rookies)

week 13
I gave up chris herndon and john johnson, Guy1 gave up the Gronk.
and
I gave up 2019 3.7, for Guy4's Akiem Hicks.

Essentially I started the year with

Tyreek hill
Darius Leonard
Lamar Miller
Andy Dalton
Sterling Shepard
Herndon, John johnson I got from waiver
2020 1.6

And I finished the year with

Davantae adams
marcus mariota
Carr
Bobby wagner
steffon Diggs
Jarvis landry
Funchess
Gronk
marlon mack waiver
corey littleton waiver
jessie bates waiver
2019 1.5

A good trading year.

Marlon Mack on waivers was probably the best thing you did this year.

I'm not sure Gronk will play next year.
You are also missing that you got Cooper during the year right? That's kind of an important piece of what you received.

So you had to cut like 4 players since got is 4 players more than lost? How deep are your benches? Are you going to be able to keep all the rookies you draft somehow?

Yeah, missed cooper on that list. Alot of the trash I took in the later picks of the draft have been dumped. I did essentially trade lamar miller for carr, landry and a pick, that was a good trade!!!

We have 26 roster spots, 2 IR spots.

Every year we draft only rookies (10 rounds) and they go to our taxi rank (15 spots can stay up to 2 years)

We must play
1 QB
2wr
2rb
1te
1 qb/wr/te/rb (its not a 2 qb league, but might as well be, must have min of 1qb,1te,2wr,2rb, max of 2qb, 4 te/wr/rb)
2 wr/rb/te
k
1 de/dl
1 lb
1cb/s
2 de/dl/lb/cb/s

Currently I have
Carr
Mariota
Newton
Stafford

dalvin
dixon
marlon
sony
Jamaal williams

Davante
odell
amari
diggs
funchess
landry
Arob

gronk
blake Jarwin
Rudolph
CJ uzomah

no kicker (10 man league, I had a kicker, but dumped him for blake jarwin, ill pick a top10 kicker off the waiver before week 1)

calais campbell
akiem hicks
kiko alonso
cory littleton
Wagner
Jessie bates

taxi includes
justin jackson
Penny rashaad
desean hamilton

IR has
jerick mckinnon
olsen

My Strategy is pretty simple.

Given my strength in wr and options at QB, Ive really only got to come up with 2 rb's, one TE and manage my IDP's weekly.

Ill hopefully be able to put up big numbers in my wr corp for the next 3,4 years and hopefully trade and draft some cheap advantages at Rb. Hoping to have landry/Arob/some of my Rb's perform well and package them with a QB to trade up at QB and get two plug and play Qb's.

TE is obviously a league wide issue, the owners of the good ones are reluctant to trade. I'm taking up lots of roster space trying to find a good one..........

Any one got any options on the direction they would head in my position (I have 2 late first rounders in 2019 and my highest pick for 2020 is currently 3.6)?

Or the type of handcuffs/derisking options that I could get via trade.

For te I’d look at drafting the kid from Iowa, fant if I could. Like most tes, he might not produce that well in year one so I’d look at some buy low candidates. Maybe you could get the talented te, gesicki for cheap. But who knows about the dolphins system and qb situation going forward.

I’d also pay attention to which tes are drafted in the first few rounds and try to grab another one if I could in the draft. I’d be especially interested if they ended up on a few teams like the cowboys who love to feature their tes especially if they’re talented.

Tight end is a hard spot to deal with.

Ertz took down highest ppg with an average of 15.44
cook is in fifth with 10ppg
6-15 pay 6-8ppg.
The last two seasons have been distributed much the same, but just lower points.

Our league has 25 TE on roster spots, 5 of those are in taxi and 3 on IR. So only 17 on playable rosters, I have 4 playable, one IR and one in taxi, in a 10 man league. They are tight and owners don't want to part with them.

Am I investing too heavily in trying to find a TE (best a TE3) who will get me 4ppg more than what I can make with my current roster????

We have 224 players on roster, so waiver is pretty thin in other positions

You could trade one of your list of stud wrs if you’re really concerned. For a year, you could try to play rudolph if gronk retires. I’d just try to draft them more aggressive if you don’t want to trade. Playing inconsistent tes who can potentially score 0 from a starter spot is quite annoying, it’s also annoying that you have to carry more tes since your top te sucks.

I don’t think gurley is in a committee I think he was playing hurt and they didn’t want to release that

I was using a little hyperbole there, but I agree about Gurley. I'm waiting for the news about him having surgery this past week.

David Johnson, Zeke, Saquon, CMC, Mixon, and Melvin Gordon are the only guys getting 20+ touches per game (plus Gurley, obvs).

Maybe Dalvin Cook, James Conner, and Alvin Kamara moving forward.

It's 5am here, I may have missed a few.

There is a decent chance Hunt doesn't even play next year, soit could end up being an opportunity to get Chubb cheap.

My guess is that McVay will spell Gurley more next year to keep him healthy as possible for the playoffs.

So where will Antonio Brown land? Is he really leaving Pittsburgh?

I was thinking he would be an interesting addition to a few teams.

Green Bay? Seattle?

Definitely not going to Seattle, Doug Baldwin wouldn't allow it.

Hope he ends up on a bottom 10 team.
