Since that is luckily your flex, wouldn't Kyle Juszczyk be a safer bet at scoring a point? Or Ty Montgomery?

oh snap you're right I blocked the wrong dudes. It's HIS flex.

I gotta for sure grab those instead of Celek. lol this is gonna be hard.

Ya upon further checking I can't. He's gonna be able to get whomever. I'll just grab Juszczyk instead. But he's gonna get someone.

Yeah, not really defensible but it is a 14 teamer with pretty deep rosters and he's had injury issues.

I dropped Goodwin because I listened to that fantasy footballers podcast. Fml

I just lost my matchup after Adams caught that pass for a loss of 3 yards, FML.

I can't believe I was alive that long, went into this game up 16.6 going against Adams and Alfred Morris. At least I had a nice sweat.

And it is an IDP league, so I have stat correction equity as well as long as no more scoring is done, since I am down by 0.5 right now.

Alright, now I don't have anything to sweat, garbage time Rodgers strikes again.

I think I want to trade for Fournette in my 8 man PPR league. 6 of 8 make the playoffs. The team owner also already stated Fournette was on the block.

The starting line up is QB, 2RB, 3WR, TE, 1 flex, Defense.

My team:

Mahomes
DJ, Mixon, Conner, K. Johnson, Hines
Keenan, Diggs, Adams, Woods, Sanders
Cook, Engram
Balt

His team:

Big Ben
Gurley, Ingram, AP, Mack, Fournette, Hyde
M. Thomas, Landry, D. Jackson, Ridley, Jordy
Ertz
Chic

So he is decently weak at WR, but relatively deep at RB.

I’m concerned that Conner will be useless once Bell is back. Who knows when that will be, but I’m fairly confident Bell will be back before the fantasy playoffs.

I was thinking of offering one of my receivers for Fournette and one of his less off receivers. I was thinking of Keenan or Diggs for Fournette plus Landry. Although, Keenan might not be enough by himself.

But part of me wants to just stand pat and play 4/5 receivers each week (minus byes of course) and hope that DJ and Mixon stay healthy.

I don't think it counts as garbage time to lead your team to a win as time expires.

Why can't these QBs like Luck and Rodgers put up numbers the first 3.5 quarters of the game then? What is special about the last half of quarter that makes them put up 60% of their numbers each game?

I don't understand your argument for what the cause is (the cause is garbage time?).

I'd say a lot of it (if your contention is even true) can be attributed to stupid coaching. On the offensive side for the first 3.5 quarters, and on the defensive side for the last .5 quarter.

Rodgers specifically seems to have to dig his team out of a hole just about every game because he has perhaps the worst head coach in the league (no disrespect...errr respect, to Hue) formulating the initial gameplan.

this week was kind of fun. I picked up that boy Jaemis, whose name I like. According to projections, I rolled with him instead of Watson(1st time seeing the bench this year), huge win there.

I reached pretty hard dropping Crabtree for J Nelson, as much as I don't care to admit it. Crab had been getting targets and I had J Brown on my roster already(3 total wr on my roster only), I think i was a bit deterred from starting two Ravens WR. Jordy had been hot and was versus a weaker pass defense in terms of WR points against, by a decent amount (Ten vs Sea in this regard). well, went with Jordy lmao, feel stupid and Crab is now in the player pool who I would kind of like to have. I watched some of that game, the first guy I saw was Crab when I tuned in, knew it spelled trouble. That Jabroni played with some tenacity. He was there, present, barking at fans, getting excited, looked good, pissed I dropped him for Jordy hehe.

Because of that, I was down 21.5 or something going into last night, no worries, Davante Adams here!

Despite drafting Bell at number one overall because I didn't know he was on the holdout, I sit atop of the league and 2nd most points, just behind the leader by .5

i dont think you understand what the phrase garbage time is. garbage time is when the game isnt even close anymore and the winning defense softens up coverage, put in 3rd stringers, etc. and the losing team rolls down the field and scores. the defense doesnt care cause the game is in hand, so players pick up easy points

in last nights game, the defense (as usually happens) got worn out in the last 3 minutes of the game, and rodgers picked them apart.

well, the "softens up coverage" part was certainly still true because coaches are idiots

I don’t think anyone is taking that trade but ymmv.

8 man leagues are weird so that trade might be accepted.

The problem is you are selling Keenan at such a low point.
If Conner does stay the starter, you are buying a tough decision every week. Who to bench of DJ, Mixon, Conner, Fournette?
I doubt he will give you Landry back unless you send two WRS.

Not sure you need a trade, so maybe ask him what he wants from your team for Fournette? He needs it much more than you do.

Yeah, I am a Keenan homer, but I'm just not very high on him right now.

He is getting targets, but I'd almost rather start all of my other receivers over Keenan at this point. I just know once I do, he will go off. But Adams, Diggs, Woods, and Sanders have all been very productive in their own right. And all 4 of those guys are seeing as many, if not, more targets than Keenan. I think Gordon is vulturing some TDs from Keenan.

I could just offer Keenan straight up, but I kind of want a receiver back. Although, I could get someone off of the waivers if I needed a 5th receiver. Guys like Crabtree, Snead, Shepard, Gabriel, etc. are on the waivers.

I think deciding between DJ, Mixon, Conner, and Fournette is a decent situation to be in. Plus, I can always start 3 of 4 with the flex.

Maybe I can offer Keenan and McCoy (forgot to add him into my original roster) for Fournette and Landry. Or if not Landry, then maybe Jackson.

Or maybe I should just stand pat. I'll reach out and see what the Fournette owner wants.

Yeah, tell him you are interested in Fournette and see what he wants, but you getting back Landry to stash on your bench (which is where he would be) seems like asking for something valuable from his perspective to something fairly redundant from yours.

Diggs, Adams, Woods, Sanders >= Landry, IMO

Also you would only start 3 WRs, not 4.

Getting Landry would just make you second guess your WRs as well as your RBs. It's good to have depth, but in a trade situation taking away a starter from another team for bench depth usually doesn't work.

From your perspective standing Pat is not a bad thing. Plus this other team will be one of the two that misses the playoffs if he doesn't trade so your chances to make the playoffs become 6/7.

Fair enough. His team is actually 4-2, but he started 4-0. I beat him in week 5 as the highest scorer versus his second highest scoring team. His team did not perform very well in week 6. There is one team at 0-6 and one team at 2-4. I'm 3-3.

My one concern is bye week play, which is one reason I kind of want a receiver in return. I have Conner and Adams on bye this week.

Mixon and DJ will be both be on bye in week 9 (bad situation there). And Fournette is on bye in week 9 too, so even if he was ready to play, I wouldn't have him. And maybe (potentially, but maybe not likely, who the **** really knows) Conner will be worthless by week 9.

And then I have Sanders and Diggs both on bye in week 10.

Landry's bye is week 11.

But I guess I could just find waiver fill ins.
