Too late to edit but I meant to say Pablo hits RHP way better. He sucks vs lefties, which may have been the reason he sat vs Wood

Herrera being traded to Nats, Kevin McCarthy is likely going to take over as closer

Jabari Blash sent back down

Sorry he didn't work out quite like I'd hoped, but I'm hanging on to him in my keeper league where most relevant minor leaguers are owned

Strickland out 6-8 weeks after punching a hole in the wall. I picked up Watson but it sounds like it could also be Dyson.

6 team keeper league with double playing spots (keep 12)

Can I drop Sano?

I think so.

I mean, yeah, 40 homer potential is nice, but he's not even playing MLB and the average will never get above .230 even if he was up, which he's not.

Just committed highway robbery in my keeper league

I give up keeper eligible Corey Dickerson, and keeper eligible Mike Foltynewicz

I get non keeper Mike Trout and non keeper Jon Lester

Our keeper rules are that guys can be kept for free forever, which is why he did the deal.

I now have Trout, Altuve, Freeman, JDM, Scherzer, and Verlander, and only JDM and Verlander can be kept for next year

So I'm all in on this year, baby! Let's gooooooo

Damn that's even better than when I got Trout for Bellinger!

Btw, if its keep for free forever then how come some guys can be kept and others can't?

Got offered Kershaw/Hader for my Chapman/Porcello, thoughts? Currently in 1st in saves by 22 (70 to 48), and have Kimbrel/Diaz, only 3 RP slots, could pick up Giles or SF RP. Need K's/QS's, seems good?

I play in a $100 Yahoo Roto League. I was hoping Strickland going out would allow Mark Melancon to slide back into the closer role. I do have a couple speculative closers that could pan out after the trade deadline (Joe Jimenez and Kirby Yates), but I have been in the bottom 2-3 teams (12 team league) in saves all year.

The Giants are paying Melancon a lot of money, but I wonder if he'll ever get the closer gig back. I hate to drop him because saves are tough to find on the waiver wire.

With Melancon its all about healthy. If hes actually healthy, I'm pretty sure theyll give him shots to close. It is no doubt in the Giant's best interest for him to close. Not just because they want to get something out of him with all the money they've sunk into his contract, but also because good relievers have become such valuable trade commodities over the past few years.
But I kinda doubt he will ever be anywhere close to 100% again.

I don't really disagree with you, but I have been a bit surprised that his strikeout numbers (and his performance overall) have been decent in the limited innings he has pitched since his return from the disabled list.

It's weird and I don't like it. Basically, anybody drafted after the 12th round or picked up on waivers can be kept forever. I guess it's not totally "free," because the number of keepers you have is capped, but it leads to some funny valuations because top-tier talent can't be kept.

So you see lots of these "all in for this year" deals for "already good now and can be kept for the rest of their career" deals.

There were some downright laughable trades (like 4 guys that were top 3-round draft picks) for Julio Urias, Byron Buxton, Jurickson Profar, and David Dahl, each, straight up, in past years.

I got Verlander off his injury season and JD Martinez before he blew up, and while they're not exactly young, they're definitely awesome now and great to keep for the time being, which is the foreseeable future, and I'm trying to win every year... I refuse to break down and sell for prospects.

Yeah I'd do this.

Kershaw's going on a rehab start on Saturday, last I heard, and Hader is definitely the nut non-closer relief pitcher to own.

Porcello's worth more in QS leagues than win leagues, but Kershaw is no doubt top 2 SP overall when he's right, and on a per-inning basis.

And with Kimbrel/Diaz you can coast to the finish in saves with the lead you've built.

Andrew Suarez is a starting pitcher that's widely available that I'm finding useful in fantasy.

57 K's, 12 BB in 59.1 innings

Replacement owner needed in $100 2p2 dynasty league. The owner has stated he will not be returning and is allowing a replacement owner to take over team this year free.

I've been offered a trade in a keeper league. Pretty deep rosters for a 12 teamer. Start 5 OF, CI, MI, big benches. $300 budget. Keep 6 players.
Currently 1 game out of 1st, with the top 5 teams all within 4 games of each other.

I get:
Goldy $69
Kershaw $47
Dozier

I send:
Harper $48
Crawford

Looking to go for it this season. Crawford currently my starting MI.
My rotation has deGrom, Paxton, Skaggs and a bunch of waiver scrubs with Ohtani/Archer/Ray/Richards all hurt

I wouldn't keep either of Goldy/Kershaw bc they are too expensive. Losing Harper as a keeper obv sucks, but if I trade him then I could afford to keep Trout at $65. (If I were to keep Harper then I'd def have to cut Trout next year.

Thoughts?

Is Loaisiga going to get another start for the Yankees or am I burning a roster spot?
