another year another donaldson DL stint

My squad is ravaged by so many DL guys I'm having to drop good players just to field a lineup...only one DL spot in my league and that definitely needs to change

I feel like Aaron Hicks is a figment of my imagination? Am I the only one that sees he had a .370 obp last year on pace for 30/20 100 rbis and 100 runs last year ? Glad I didn’t drop when he was hurt dude is a monster

got offered Porcello for my Miggy in a OBP/QS league, have Rizzo/Jose Martinez as well at 1B, and Miggy has been on bench and not in Util slot. Bell/Bour/Gurriel available if i really need another 1B. Would you take the deal? What about if i got Richards for Miggy?

Miggy seems relatively useless at this point in that ****ty offens I would take whatever I can get . I have been trying to unload him myself since I got lucky with Hanley and Jose Martinez on waiver wire he never plays. Anyways just traded Matt Olson for Nunez in my league. I prefer Olson in a vacuum but whatever he could hit 45 homers and I’ll live.Completely loaded up on power hiitters in my obp league and am last in the league in steals (thank for Hanley has 3!) but projected to crush homers and RBIs so I think it was one of those win win homers for steals trades. I should be much better shape now with Nunez and Acuna coming up soon to give me steals that make me respectable at least

I'd be a little reluctant trading Miggy right now because he has almost zero value. His hard hit percentage and exit velocity is up over the past couple seasons and Lindor took probably 3 hits from him in their last series. I think there's still something in the tank and I'd rather ride it out to see than trade him for a backend pitcher.

Ya the return you can get for Miggy right now isn't going to make any difference so best to hold him and hope he can get something going.

Lester has two starts this week, but the second one's in Colorado and he has not been good. Reasonable to sit him in a weekly lineup league? 5x5

Half of today’s games being rained out is just absurd. Especially since they started the season earlier this season to have more off days, teams are gonna have a lot of make up games as we go.

Man H2H is rough. Was winning like 10-2 last week going into Saturday after the long week 1. Ended up 6-6, losing a couple categories by very narrow margins after my boys shat the bed the last 2 days.

This week I'm getting smoked (2-9) but I'm down 2r, down 1 HR, tied in rbi, and losing by % points in whip. Comes down to the last game. I have Correa, Devenski, and Giles vs Altuve. Hoping to steal at least 2 categories tonight.

H2H is so stupid I regret joining a H2H league this year so much lol

I actually prefer H2H. I like the week to week sweat. For example, I have no rooting interest in tonight's TEX/ HOU game but I'm watching just to sweat the outcome. I'm mediocre at best when it comes to FBB, but I love baseball and this encourages me to watch more games than I otherwise would.

Much cheaper for me to pay $50 a year to get the sweats, rather than betting on each game indivually.

I really dislike H2H.

i dont know how you guys keep up the enthusiasm in roto, to be honest. h2h is painful sometimes, but its so much more fun when you have those ridiculous sweats. as much as its painful to lose ERA by like .01 on sundays, its so much more fun when you win those

The idea that an entire season of baseball is decided in a few weeks during the "playoffs" sorta goes against everything i believe fantasy baseball is about.

H2H is inherently easier, and the trash talk element is fun, so if you're not a pro I can see the appeal of it, it's just not for me, I want a more simulation type experience.

Definitely agree about fantasy baseball playoffs. In one league we’re in, we pay the regular season leader separately from the playoffs, and in the dynasty we don’t have playoffs, just 25 weeks of h2h season, which has honestly been really fun.

H2H playoffs are not ideal, but they're pretty much exactly like real baseball. All about luck and runhot.

btw, not sure who was asking about Podcasts earlier, but if you have a siriusxm account (or know someone that will let you login), you can listen to channel on demand over the past week. So find a show you like, and listen to that as you want. Also without commercials on demand. Not a podcast, but 1-3 hours shows are usually just as good, if not better
